THE INTERVENTION
True life values are replaced by massive flow of marketing information that is being poured on us from everywhere. Sometimes, it can get really scary, because a lot of what surrounds us is not real at all.
Many things, events, holidays, which play integral roles in our lives, are invented by marketers in order to solve certain economic problems. The capitalist system urges us to fill the subjective feeling of inner emptiness and loneliness with buying more and more things all the time, such as driving a new car, living in biggers houses, following fashion and constantly changing clothes. At the end we lose our freedom... But are we making ourselves happier?

‘THE INTERVENTION’
By the influence of the new social activist movement, ‘The intervention’ working to change the way the information flows, the way corporations use their power and the way how we interpret it in our society.
I work using still life and lighting techniques to perform, in a secure manner, fake advertisements. In most of the images, I show some of the big corporate brands of today. These made up ads contains rhetoric elements and as a mission statement, entails strong criticism of capitalism ideals. The tactic of this project is to change the message by adding anti-consumerist text and metaphors, which are represented throughout objects.
The premise of my work is an attempt to raise awareness on how we are being push to consume under the influence of certain social, politic and economic context, masked on corporate brands advertising. We are living in a system which prefer us robotized in a false consciousness instead of faith to our real nature.

“FRAMING FEMINISM”
In an commodity culture where the role of the woman as a model on photography is usually seen like an object, an approach to be watched for a male public in most of the case. This picture´s produced to evoke the feminist , the delicacy of the feminine body, and not merely to be seen like an object. In a narrative meaning comparing it with the delicacy of a fruit as is the grapefruit. As the viewer can see the color and form of this fruit are similar to the female genital. Bedsides, is a retrospective of the female masturbation that is a tabu to many people.
