Attention systems that may have denial or are being fake claimed!!!
Around 1.5% of the population has DID, around 4.1% of the population has some variation of OSDD-1, that makes 5.6% of people that have these disorders, almost ten percent!!
That's not even counting other types of purality or non-disordered systems!!
I would argue that at least around 10 percent of the world has some for of disosiative disorder, which may not sound like a lot, but think about it
There are around 8 billion people in the world. 10% of 8 billion is at least 800000000 people!! Its not nearly as rare as people think!!

People with psychotic disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with personality disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with substance abuse disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with tic disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with bipolar disorder are neurodivergent too.
People with dissociative disorders are neurodivergent too.
Neurodivergence isn’t just ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression. (Plus those last two also get left out sometimes!) Neurodivergence is anything that affects your brain.
“Neurodivergent people hate loud noises” is actually just as valid as a statement as “neurodivergent people have delusions,” “neurodivergent people have tics,” or even “neurodivergent people have low empathy.”

ok so you support the disabled, disordered, and mentally ill. but are you normal when someone takes long to respond to you? or if they have a hard time listening to you? when someone has a hard time giving you their attention? or when their manners aren’t perfect? or when someone makes mistakes that may be obvious or simple to you? or when someone talks loudly or “causes a scene?” are you normal when people have to think really hard to explain things? or when they have a hard time putting their thoughts into words?
are you normal when people’s hair is unkempt or oily or visibly unbrushed? or when their face might be full of acne? or when they don’t have deodorant on for one reason or another? how about if their clothes are dirty?Â
are you normal about disabled/disordered/mentally ill people when they make you a little uncomfortable?

those without borderline personality disorder love to talk about how those with the disorder are "abusive" and "dangerous", but literally a majority of the time we act out because a boundary was crossed. people step all over us and we are the bad ones when we suddenly react and act out when we aren't listened to. ok

Dissociative Amnesia
Dissociative amnesia is one of the necessary criteria of having DID yes but there is a lot of misconception of what qualifies as amnesia.
Amnesia within DID qualifies as memory loss that is worse than what can be excused by forgetfulness.
This means dissociative amnesia can range from remembering an event as if you saw it in a movie or read it second hand, excluding the felt emotion, all the way to completely forgetting who you are and personal details such as your age, name, history, or even what you look like.
The most common form of amnesia is not remembering a specific time frame or events. For example, forgetting an entire summer or not remembering events that one would normally remember, like your high-school graduation or starting middle school.
Amnesia can also mean remembering bits and pieces of things but not the big picture or all the details. Like we remember crying in a Target on our twelfth birthday, but remember nothing else from that summer.
In every day presentation, there are some amnesia terms used. Greyouts are where things will be hazy or you will remember some things of the day, but not all. This type of amnesia is common when alters from the same subsystem front one after the other and during slow blur switches.
Some switches will result in blackouts which are completely forgetting where you are, who you're with, any and all information from however long its been.
Sometimes an alter will recall an event that isn't their own memory and they won't connect to the emotions of the experience, that is called emotional amnesia and still qualifies as dissociative amnesia.
I'm going to link a page with some further information on different forms of amnesia and depersonalization, feel free to check it out on your own time.

my partner doesn’t use pet names nearly as much as i do, which is very funny because i will crack my gay little knuckles and say some shit like “good morning my sun and moon, my loveliest boy, my baby my sweetheart my darling dearest” and he will reply “hello adrian”

as a polyfragmented system that splits easy, we have some questions. firstly, how do subsystems happen and how do they work? are we supposed to have subsystems?

"If you had a disorder as serious as DID, we would notice."
You did notice, you just called it by a different name.
When you noticed us acting different, you called it
childish
standoffish
unpredictable
too sensitive
insensitive
dramatic
manipulative
intentionally being difficult
When you noticed our amnesia, you called it
irresponsible
flakey
forgetful
not listening
not trying
unreliable
lying
When you noticed us dissociating, you called it
spaciness
daydreaming
not paying attention
not caring
stonewalling
acting stupid on purpose
wasting time
being lazy
People love to say they care about people with mental illness, and then disbelieve anyone who has one because they've already passed judgement on them.

So these tags were on my post about amnesia. And I want to address it. Short answer, no you do not. You need blackout amnesia (assuming that’s what you meant by full amnesia) in order to have DID.
DID is not the only way to have a system, OSDD 1-b has very little or no amnesia and still has alters, so does p-DID.
Though I do want to differentiate between the different types of amnesia.
Emotional amnesia: where you don’t remember any emotions that you were feeling during the event.
Greyouts: when you remember what happened but have no memories of it, as if someone told you about the event but you weren’t there.
Blackouts: when you don’t remember anything about what happened, and you often don’t remember that you missed something.
I’d also like to mention that amnesia often doesn’t happen in the moment, often the memory will fade over a short period of time until they’re gone. At least that’s what I experience.
Anyways, here you are @sprites-your-cal
Hope this helped
-Apollo
