haymitch's hands find their spots there on the sides of her neck , thumbs brushing soft skin. ❛   i don't want my name anywhere near your shottin' skills , eff. ❜ a smirk tugs at his lips before he presses a kiss to her forehead. ❛   it's the first time i've tried cooking in a long time. kind of just lived off scraps of bread &* beans before the war. then ate my weight in fancy food during the games. didn't bother cooking any other time. but i thought ----- peeta brought over these peaches from the tree he's been working on &* i remembered you said something about them ---- ❜ he can't give himself credit for just doing a genuinely nice thing -- might kill him. ❛   i can't vouch for how it tastes. peeta says the recipe is good , though. ❜

Effie had thought she must surely be imagining the smell of peach cobbler when she'd come into the house. Pale hair pulled back from her face with a pastel green ribbon that matches the belt on her blue collared dress. And, of course, matching heels. Effie has changed a lot about her style since she'd moved to District Twelve, but she won't give up her high heels, no matter how out of place they might make her look.

Her head tilts, and she follows the smell to the kitchen. Her brows go up, and she puts her bag aside-- a tote bag, what a strange little thing-- before approaching Haymitch.

"Showing you how doesn't mean he made it," she says. "That'd be like you taking credit for my shooting skills." They're atrocious, but she'd wanted to give it a go. Apparently, she would've been great in battle, if battle was missing the broadside of a barn. The laughter that had ensued when she'd asked what a barn was had had her red in the face with embarrassment for hours.

"It's very special," she tells him, smile wide as she wraps her arms around his waist to pull him in closer. She tilts her head up so she can steal a kiss. "You're plenty sweet. This is the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me." She looks at the cobbler with delight. "Peaches are my favorite."

i need more writing partners. i love the ones i have but like, i follow 501 people & only interact with like 30ish. soooo like this if you want to interact ! i can write a starter or send some memes or just come plot ! tell me if you have a preference for which of those or ill just vibe it out. ❛   i don't ------- ❜ the prince starts to say he does not lie , but they both know that in itself is a lie. while he finds it difficult to lie in general about much of anything , he will gladly stuff his needs into the very pit of his soul if it means keeping the burden of his emotions off of someone. so instead of lying more , stolas snaps his mouth shut with a little huff through his nose. he looks away from angel , arms crossing his chest -- more so that he can grip his sides , offering comfort to himself.

❛   stella found out about you. she has been making my life a living hell. not that that part is particularly new , but ----- i'm afraid it's affecting via now. ❜

even so , he has still paid for angel's time. via &* stella were away for the weekend at her brother's house , so stolas has been moping about the manor , mostly drunk.

❛   i needed to see you to . . . to remind myself why i made the decisions i have. &* to convince myself that you do not feel the same way i do. ❜ a pause , then he finally dares to look back toward angel. ❛   because if you did . . . i would know that i'm making the right decision in wanting a divorce. that causing via pain was not for nothing. it does not matter that i have hated every moment of the last 17 years , save for my time with via. i would stay another millenia with stella for her. but if i could have you ------- ? ❜ a wistful sigh as stolas tears his gaze away from angel's face to look aimlessly at the collar of the others shirt. ❛   she would understand love. i wouldn't have put her through needless pain simply because i was lonely. ❜

weight loss / gastric bypass trigger warning !!

the only complication i've had since my gastric bypass lately is like ,,, constipation. like 4 days without kinda issues. so i started putting an activia into my smoothe in the mornings & boy howdy do those fuckers make my stomach hurt !! like my stomach has never hurt from the outside. i can press on my skin & it hURTS google says its nothing to worry about -- just my body adjusting to the probiotics & fiber but !! fuck !!
