I know that I haven’t posted my new Guardians fanfic links on this blog in a while, none of the 4 I published on AO3 this year, but I thought it would be nice to do for Starmora Week / Holiday Season!

Starmora Week, Day 2: Vulnerable / Loved

Local Groot Scarecrows!!! (Not My Own!)

(Disclaimer: I did not create these awesome scarecrows, I am just an observant photographer and geek sharing them on a pathetic blog.)

So last Friday morning I went to the Farmer’s Market to take photos of this year’s scarecrow museum, and you’d probably believe my childlike enthusiasm at the 2 Groot scarecrows among the batch of 24 total! :D

Now, the theme this year seemed to be “space” since there were a lot of astronauts, generic aliens, and Area 51 jokes. There were also at least 2 Darth Vaders and 2 Buzz Lightyears. But I still got a great kick out of these, and I knew y’all would too! First! Baby Groot with Song Lyrics!

The amazing thing about this one is all of the extremely clever and adorable wordplay using songs from the movies in their attached poster, and yesh, you better believe I was giddy as ever while reading them and snapping the pictures.

Creative class of kids (with good taste), indeed! I squeed and laughed so much!

(Names of schools and teachers censored out, of course.) Second! Large, Adult Groot with ROCKET!

Again, there was much squeeing over that adorable, giant stuffed Rocket edition!

Seriously, the idea of Rocket in-character / in-canon wearing that silly straw hat is too hilarious to me!

I’m guessing Star-Lord convinced them to get into the Fall spirit. ;)

I broke the rules a little, and hope they didn’t notice (though I’m sure they did, considering my identical handwriting). The sign said to only vote for 1 favorite scarecrow, but I couldn’t help it. I had to vote for both.

Shhhhh!!! ;)

Anyway, these are amazing and made my day last week! I hope they’ve made other fans smile too!

Hmmm...I wonder if these were displayed right next to each other at Target on purpose...

...or if some fans were just being clever...

I swear that I found them that way!

And the little labels underneath make it seem like it was the store staff that did so, though probably by really awesome coincidence. 

Also, when I turned over the first one, I was happy to learn that one of the score tracks in Volume 1 is titled “Don’t Mess With My Walkman.” :D

I received a special surprise gift from @zivitz​ again yesterday! ^_^

Grateful to be ugly! <3 (Maybe it’s just because I’ve seen and loved posts around this site that headcanon certain Guardian character calling Mantis “Lil’ Bug” and now I associate any other “little bugs” or “baby bugs” with her. ^_^)

Okay, so here's a question: if Yondu flies the arrow with his heart, do you think he really could have killed Peter when they picked him up at Knowhere?

I mean, he was clearly expecting Peter to talk his way out of the situation, you can see how when Peter starts talking his lips twitch almost into a smile. And he turned away, I'm sure, so that if he did have to do it he wouldn't have to watch. But would the arrow have even responded if he'd tried? To kill the child of his heart?
