What did you enjoy most about CAS?

Volunteering at the animal shelter through CAS has been an enriching journey, providing me with invaluable experiences and insights. What I enjoyed most about CAS was the opportunity to directly impact the lives of animals in need. Being able to interact with them, offer care, and witness their resilience filled me with a sense of fulfillment and it was an overall very rewarding experience.

What was your greatest challenge and how did you overcome this?

Undoubtedly, the most significant challenge I faced while participating in the CAS program was managing my time effectively. Juggling my academic commitments, extracurricular activities, and volunteering obligations required me to plan and prioritize carefully. However, I managed to overcome this challenge by creating a well-structured schedule and dedicating specific time slots for each CAS activity. By following this schedule I managed to complete CAS and still have time for my academic activities.

What have you achieved through CAS?

Through CAS, I have achieved a greater understanding of compassion, responsibility, and empathy. Volunteering at the animal shelter, at the Omenaa Brzeski Foundation, and collecting waste from the Chojnowski Park Narodowy has not only allowed me to contribute to a worthy cause but has also allowed me to positively influence my community. These experiences were not only satisfying but allowed me for personal growth.

What abilities and skills did you develop most significantly in CAS?

During my participation in CAS, I have developed effective communication and collaboration skills which have proven to be invaluable. Working together with other volunteers has taught me the importance of teamwork and cooperation in achieving common goals. Furthermore, I have improved my organizational skills and learned to adapt to diverse situations in a dynamic environment.

Which learning outcome did you find most easy to achieve? Most difficult to achieve?

During my participation in CAS, I found it easiest to achieve the learning outcome related to connecting with global issues, such as animal rights, while volunteering at a local shelter or participating in the Omenaa Foundation and interacting with refugees. Given the nature of these places, it was natural for me to be a part of discussions about global issues. However, the most challenging aspect was sticking to my commitments and staying motivated. It required a lot of self-reflection to remind myself of my goals and the reasons behind my actions. Despite the difficulty, the experience helped me grow and gave me a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.

Today for my CAS service, I went back to Chojnowski Park Narodowy to pick up trash and waste again. This time, the weather was sunny and nice. The sunshine made the cleanup feel more enjoyable and uplifting. It was great to be outdoors, surrounded by nature while making a positive impact on the environment.

The whole session lasted about 4 hours and it was very rewarding to see my impact on the park and the whole community.

Today for my CAS service my friends, their parents, and I organized a collection for animals in the shelter. We posted on Facebook, asking for donations of food, toys, and other essentials. The response was amazing! It's heartwarming to see people come together to help animals in need.

Additionally, at the end of the day, it's extremely rewarding knowing that you have positively contributed to the community and knowing that our efforts are making a real difference.

Today, I ran 8 km through the woods to see how far I could go. It was a test of endurance, pushing myself through the winding paths and inclines. Despite feeling tired at times, I kept going, discovering my inner strength along the way. It reminded me that perseverance is key to achieving my goals.

I was only able to compleate the 8km run because of my determination to continue running for CAS activity, because that enhanced my endurance significantly.

Today for my CAS creativity I decided to bake vanilla and chocolate chop cupcakes and it was a very pleasant experience.

Mixing the ingredients and adding the chocolate chips filled the kitchen with the aroma of homemade baked goods. Watching the cupcakes bake and grow was satisfying. Baking reminded me of the simple joys of creativity in the kitchen.

Today, I ran a short 2 km route through the woods, maintaining a steady pace of 5.3 minutes per kilometer. Despite the brief distance, keeping a consistent speed helped me stay focused and motivated. Each step felt purposeful, and I found satisfaction in maintaining the pace throughout.

For todays CAS creativity post, I explored my creative side by sketching an eye portrait of a person who appeared distressed and lost in thought. It was a way for me to express the complex emotions we all experience. As I worked on the sketch, I felt a connection to the subject's inner turmoil. It reminded me of the power of art to capture human emotions and experiences.

Today, I participated in my cas service by visiting Chojnowski Park Narodowy once again to collect trash and waste. It was amazing to witness the significant impact a group of volunteers can have on keeping our environment clean. As we worked together, collecting litter and debris, I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that we were making a difference.

The session lasted about 4 hours, but at the end, there was a visible difference in the amount of trask and waste in the park.

Today, I went for a 3 km run through the woods, but it wasn't as pleasant as I hoped. The snow had melted, leaving muddy and slushy trails that made running difficult. With each step, I trudged through the muck, feeling the weight in my shoes. Despite the challenging conditions, I kept going, reminding myself to stay resilient.

Today was the first day I volunteered at Chojnowski Park Krajobrazowy to help pick up trash and waste. I knew that undartaking this activity will require planning and time- management to allow me to compleate my school work and cleaning the park.

It was surprising to see how much litter can accumulate in such a beautiful place. Working with others, we gathered bottles, wrappers, and other debris to clean up the park. It felt good to contribute to making the environment cleaner and more enjoyable for everyone.

Today for my CAS creativity, I decided to sketch Patrick from SpongeBob, my favorite childhood cartoon character. It was a nostalgic journey back to the days of watching SpongeBob's adventures. Drawing Patrick brought back memories of laughter and fun.

It took me about 30 minutes to complete the drawing and it was very enjoyable.

For my CAS activity today, I went for a winter run in the woods. During the run, I covered a distance of about 4km. As I jogged on the snowy trails, I couldn't help but notice the signs of change around me. The snow beneath my feet was slowly melting, hinting at the arrival of warmer days ahead. It's amazing how nature transforms with the seasons, and being a witness to this transition filled me with amazement.

Nevertheless, running 4km in this weather was very tiering and every steo required focuc and resilliance and by the end I was extreamly tired.

Today, during my CAS creativity post, I was reminded of a childhood memory because of the lighthouse that I used to visit as a kid. As I was drawing the lighthouse and picturing the familiar seaside breeze, I couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for the past.

Although it is winter now, I find myself wanting for the warmth of summer, the sound of the waves and the laughter of my friends. However, while I was sketching, I found comfort, and it reminded me that memories can be cherished and remembered no matter the season. The sketch took about an hour to compleate and required extream focus to recall every detail of the lighthouse.
