Thank you for reading Don't wake me this story was inspired by the song Don't Wake Me by Skillet I know this story isn't much compare to some of my other ones but I've been in there slump for awhile, and I haven't written a story in awhile for that reason, i've probably been saying that for my other stories I written this year 😅 let's just say it's that kind of yeah with dealing of writers block and slumps. Chapter 10 You're like a lovely dream I don't want to wake up from

Claire came over to my place and I didn't know she came over, I was walking downstairs and I noticed a figure outside The front door I realise it was Claire she was walking away  I calls out for her "Claire !"  I runs out the door after her. I catch up to Claire I'm standing there breathing heavily I look at her so adoringly "I need you, You make my life less shit you're like a lovely dream I never want to wake up from before the bright  sunlight wakes me up please stay, don't wake me from this stream"  Claire she had tears swelling up in your eyes "I won't, I promise" she says softly.

Chapter 9 I know

I'm upstairs I my room I'm next to my wardrobe I start unbuttoning my shirt, I hear the front door open I walk over to my door and lock it, I put on my shirt at sleep in I lie down in my bed I close my eyes and take a nap.

Time skip a couple hours later

Sometime later I wakes up I notice it's dark outside, I here's a noise and I go down to investigate I'm on the staircase and sees my dad setting on the couch in the lounge room, I realises that was the noise I go back upstairs yo my room. I'm sitting in class next Claire, Claire notices the bruise on my arm I can see the warrior no eyes she hugs me "Please stay with me just for a bit then I would know you're safe".

Flashback a couple of nights ago

Charles's mum doesn't care her husband beats there son. My dad pushes me against the wall and punches me in the stomach I grown in pain.

Out of  flashback

After school Claire told me something  that hit me hard I had to go out to her. "Claire wait, I know my parents not love me they treat me like shit, but I care about you".

Chapter 8 Peaceful day

I open the front door and the house is quiet nobody is home I put my jacket on the stair railing, the house had the sense of peace around, I go upstairs to my room I get dressed into my school uniform, I goes downstairs and do some ironing on one of my shirts for school,

I into the kitchen and have some coffee. i'm looking at myself in the mirror and I style my hair dyed the bandage on my forehead, I walked out the door and go to school. I am walking down the path I see Claire I wrap my arms around her and kiss her on the cheek. I had a normal typical day at school, I'm sitting in class staring out the window. Synonym for school day ended I walk home with my with my big fluffy coat on.

Chapter 7 I care about you

I'm sitting on the bathroom bench, Claire is cleans the cut on my forehead  "Let's patch this up". A couple of hours later I'm lying in Claire's bed next to Claire her back is facing towards me I shuffle over and wrap my arms around her and nozzle my head into her shoulder, she whispers "I'm hurt too".

Time skip The next morning

I'm standing outside close front door saying goodbye to Claire, Claire grab my arm I look at her I can see the worry and her eyes "I don't want you to go," she pauses for a brief second "I'm worried, if you're going to be safe". I've give her a sweet smile "I'll be fine" I say softly, I look down at the ground "I'll just be coming to your place couple more times", and I go home.

Chapter 6 I need to right now

I got home really late I walk in through the front door "I'm home" I put my coat on the stair railing. my parents are angry at me for coming back so late my dad's start yelling at me, in a fit of anger he throws me against the wall my forehead starts bleeding I look  at my dad and run out of the house. I want to find Claire I see Claire standing on the path waiting to cross the road I run over to her and hug her totally she hug me back "I just need someone right now" Claire sees blood dripping from my forehead. Claire grabs my hand and we slowly walk her house.

Chapter 5 Lovely dream

I wake up and see Claire putting her School uniform skirt on, I roll over onto my stomach facing Claire hugging the  duvet "Where are you going ?" "I have to go I have a couple of things to do" she turns her head and looks at me "But I can come over later if you like" and smile "I would like that". A few minutes later Claire goes home we agreed to meet up later in the park later on that day.

Time skip later  on that day.

I meet up with Claire in the park she was wearing a pretty white dress,  she turns around she sees me and smiles at me. we started walking around the park together I thought to myself "this dream, I never want to wake up from but I know this can never last".  Claire and I, we spent the entire day together that went in late into the evening.

Chapter  4 Don't wake me

It's been a couple weeks I walks downstairs and gives Claire a hug, I hug Claire tightly with tears swelling up in my eyes, sometimes it just gets to hard for me to keep dealing with the pain from my parents and I just need Claire to get me through it. "don't wake me from this dream" "Neither do I" she says softly.

Time skip nighttime

I wake up in the middle of the night and see Claire fast asleep next to me I shuffle over and wrap  my arms around her and and fall back asleep.

Chapter  3 Things at home at aren't as they seem

Claire Pov

I went to Charles house to do a assignment for school i'm standing out the front door. A few moments later Charles's mum opens the door and that's me in the house. I'm sitting in the lounge room with Charles's parents and drinking some tea waiting for Charles to come downstairs. One of them asked what were we are doing out of curiosity, I answered "We are doing a assignment" Charles's parents they seem like nice people. Charles comes down the stairs his eyes widen when he sees me sitting with his parents.

Charles Pov

My eyes widen I see Claire sitting with my parents, I had a strike of fear over me, what they would do. I take Claire outside and walk down the path for a bit, we stop Claire is Standing in front of me I lean down kiss her I pull away and I look at the ground I realise what I just done "I'm sorry". I looks behind me and realise my house isn't that far away I grabs  Claire hand we walk down a couple of blocks to a empty street with a big red wall. I Face Claire "I'm sorry I kiss you" Claire shiny looks at the ground "I liked it, Don't worry" She puts her hand on my cheek and kisses my cheek  gently she looks at me "Things at home at aren't as they seem" I look at her with a sorrowful and paint look on my face about the truth about my life at home, she can see the pain is my eyes "you don't have to tell me" she said softly.

Chapter  1 The cold air

I'm arguing with my parents I'm on the bridge of tears, I had so many emotions going through my body of anger and pain I had tears swelling up in my eyes. "fuck off !" I couldn't handle it any more and I walk out the door to school. I'm walked on the path with my big fluffy turn coat. adjusting the coat to make sure it stays on my shoulders, I can see my breath in the air I walked down the path and I look around the corner I see Claire she smiles and waves I waved back to her.

Time skip a couple of night later

I lay my head down on my grey coloured pillow with the faint light coming from outside in the night sky I slowly close my eyes smelling that familiar smell of comfort and drift off to sleep.

Don't wake me Is about a boy who is being abused by his parents, and sometimes the only way he can escape from them is to dream when he falls asleep at night he starts dating this girl who truly cares about him, being with her it's like a dream that he doesn't want to wake up from.

Charles is a 16 -17 your old boy he has Blue eyes and mousy brown hair he is abused by his parents but he's a kind loving boy.

Claire is it normal sweet kind girl at first she was a acquaintance to Charles overtime they came closer choose about 16 years old and she cares very much about Charles.

Chapter 9 Heavy rain

A couple days later

I am  in my room listening to music and I was thinking about Laura, I want to see her I take my headphones off and walk over to the window I see it's pouring with rain I decided to see her I knew her parents disapprove of me. I ran downstairs and grab my coat at the back door i've run out my brother calls out to me  "What are you doing  ? it's pissing down with rain" "I'm going Laura" I yell. It's still heavily raining and I'm soaking wet but I'm still running towards Laura's house. I get into her backyard and climb through the window I see her and smile i'm soaking wet dripping water all over her carpet  "Are you ok ? you could got hurt" I smile at her and wrap my arms around her. few minutes later I was walking back home in the rain I here's something behind me I turn around and see Laura she runs up to me and kiss me on the lips. I put my hands on her face and deepen the kiss. We go back inside Laura's house into the laundry "I'll get your towel" I take my wait t-shirt off and Laura through a towel at me I look at her when she is looking for another towel I'll marry her one day, but not yet I thought to myself. We go to her bedroom and lying in her bed with our clothes hanging on the clotheshorse in her room. What is still pouring rain outside we can help by her bedroom window. We look in each others eyes she snuggles into me,  I wrap my arms around her and we fall asleep.

The next morning

I wake up and see Laura next to me she open her eyes sleepily "Do you wanna hang out today ?" She smile I get out of bed and start putting on my clothes from yesterday. Laura rolls over and looks at me I look at her "I'll be back soon just with some different close" I smile I lean down and kiss her on the forehead. I walk down the path back to my house, I get to my house and go to my room and put a clean pair of clothes on, when I finish getting dressed I went back to Laura place. I'm not gonna front door. Laura opens the door I look at her and smile and give her a hug, she hug me back we walk through the house to the back door. We walk out the back door through back garden to the path and we walk down the path together.
