I was in the shower and I randomly thought "what is kiyoko and akaashi were like, step siblings and iwaizumi was their cousin??" And to make it not so confusing, akaashi and kiyoko have the same mom but different dads? Idk I'm j spit balling here. I think I saw a post like this but I can't find it but kudos and credit to the idea(????). Its js silly to me like, during the training camp ark, akaashi tries to talk to kiyoko but Tanaka and noya are like, "hey!! Why are you talking to our goddess" or smth idk and akaashi's js stunned and is like, "I'm her brother". And him and kiyoko j start talking like nothing happend.

Basically the same think happened to iwaizumi but its this whole thing since they're teams are rivals??? Idk I think they are. Anyways, the three are super close and I feel like akaashi used to like in miyagi but moved to Tokyo for whatever reason but they still hang out whenever they can.

I rlly want this as a fanfic, fanart, literally anything so anyone can use this idea but tag me bc I rlly wanna see this!!!

On Akaashi’s Career

I’ve read a few fics where Akaashi is a manga editor but really wanted/wants to be doing something more “literary,” like with a different department or publisher. I don’t dislike that, but what I would really love to see is an Akaashi who is bookish and well-read, but who wants to work in manga MOST.

Akaashi who loves that manga is a perfect mix of literature and art.

Akaashi who recognizes that manga can be profound and interesting and tell some of the most engaging stories.

Akaashi who is detail oriented and loves the time he gets to spend not only helping authors consider their words but also how the panels and pages are laid out, how the story is visually told.

Akaashi who has fond memories of reading manga with Bokuto and being so happy they had a mutual interest they could share other than volleyball.

I just really need intellectual, bookish Akaashi who people assume will be kind of pretentious about “true literature” or whatever but actually fiercely defends manga as an art form.
