Current crochet project is my cosplay for lillymon from Digimon. I made the base dress without the sleeves while I figure out how the wings attach. So that means dress, wings, headpiece, gloves, boots, leaves, and maybe a leaf bag or parasol in the bright yellow sultan with green handle for the flower cannon if I have time

Yes, messy closet. I'm a messy person. It was done with doubled hobbii sultan yarn. Double crochet 5 hook all the way. I bought five sultan solid in the light pink and two of the sultan in the light to dark pick.

I used about three of the sultan solid and about one of the regular sultan. I broke down the two regular sultan by each color change to make sure the fade was proper for each end petal. Not fun. I don't want to do it again but I have to for the flower head piece.

This is the second attempt at this dress. I did not double the strands so tiny stitches. I don't know what the stitch is called that I used is like a stacked double crochet. I started it with a stitch that looked like tunisian but wasn't. It was a pain with the thin yarn. I like working with thin yarn just not that stitch for a dress. Yuck.

On the left is the midsection of the old dress and on the right was the top sleeve. I lost my tension because I was using a stitch that is hard to maintain the right tension. The right is double crochet with the same hook, I think. So I hated that.

That's the very first picture of the current dress.

I've only sewn in one string of elastic at the top currently. I'll be putting in multiple, it is cotton and crochet does stretch.

I already have the gloves done. I'll have a picture in my next update.

Hey I know I have very few followers. I didn't really post much substance which is fine with me. If you happen to see this, or even if you don't, I'm using this account to document my crochet projects for my own benefit. I need a place to post everything that I can always find and not cry when I lose the notebook that had all my notes. I don't write full patterns or really things that are easy to follow. I write what's easy for me and I know that it's confusing, I'm confused too.

I need to tell someone who understands that isn't my spouse since it's about him.

So we are officially going to our first con, dragoncon. So excited and nervous. We've got a babysitter for the weekend, hotel booked, tickets gotten, already looking at what we want to do. We've got friends that are buying our first round of drinks. Like, we're stoked. And now we have to pick costumes, we're only doing three. My husband had only picked one so far, Nanami for Jjk. I was more prepared than he was. I picked lady Rengoku from demon slayer and bowsette. I'm crocheting the shell and other pieces. I was rengoku for Halloween. I've got most of the costumes.

But I want our third to be a couple costume. Lame, but I want to. We tried picking cannon couples from stuff we both like, even ones where only one of us likes them. I decide we can do popular fandom couples. This man looks at me and goes, " hear me out" he's going to say something silly he doesn't mean. "I can double dip from my show and you can be a Disney princess" but tell me why he seriously recommended Sukuna and Cinderella. I am the one who told him about that insanity and how it makes sense but I still don't get how. There's a real good chance we will because its silly.

I have torn through as much as ftp possibly can. I started playing love&deepspace the day it launched and I'm dead. Xavier is this sleepy attack cinnamon roll and was my starting favorite. He's ditsy, but he's a great fighter. 10 out of 10. Zayne, he's your doctor, he's trying to keep distance but you've got history together. Pretty sure he's got some condition that is slowly killing him so he doesn't want to hurt you. He gives off Luke from ToT with that bit. But. This man feels so awkward. Maybe like neurospicy. Man is trying his best, very relatable. The only problem I have with him is his name is the same as my brother-in-law, so its a little weird talking about him to my spouse lol.

And then there's this goo brain. God love him.

Legit losing my mind over this idiot.

Fucking Rafayel. At surface level I assumed he was a rip-off of Marius from ToT. He is a famous artist, the design may be similar, he may tease you, but it hits different. He is the little mermaid, a manic pixie dream girl, and a weird painter rolled into one. I have no confirmation that he's an actual mermaid, but he's a mermaid. My favorite line from him so far is "Taser? I'll give him something to taser." Feral. Did I mention this is a fighting otome? I was having a bad day yesterday and they can comfort you or cheer you on. Did I mention that this is voiced in multiple languages? Like English. I was so excited. And then there's Caleb, but we don't talk about Caleb.

You can also play claw machines and a kitty in mugs card game with the boys.

in my head: i like rengoku bc he has every reason to be angry and frustrated but he actively chooses not to. the one person who’s meant to be a safe place and support him pushes him away whenever he tries to engage, and he’s trying to stay brave and focused for his younger brother and students but in that dream sequence on the train, you still get the sense that something is bothering him deep down. he alludes to the fact that he’s the only one cheering himself on—he spends his entire (short) career making sure everyone else feels encouraged, but in the end all he wanted was someone he respected and cherished to tell him he’s done well too. i understand completely where he’s coming from and that makes me feel sad bc he never got to see how much people appreciated him in life.
