honestly phineas and ferb is so funny bc like. okay it's an episodic comedy whose core is just how much the characters love each other, you wouldn't expect angst writers to get a whole lot of out of that. like the first episode does clarify that perry can never reveal his personality or sapience to his family or else he will be forcibly removed from them but that's just setup for jokes, right? oh but then towards the end of the season they also drop "hey if candace succeeds in busting her brothers, they get sent to a military camp where all the creativity is literally tortured out of them." and you're like. ah. but also that was just a nightmare sequence, right? second season is like "don't worry! we will also clarify that busting phineas and ferb will result in a complete dystopia. also if perry fails to stop doofenshmirtz's wacky plots even one (1) time he becomes a truly evil supreme dictator. also one of the candaces literally disappears from the timeline but that's just a joke" and you're like. okay? you start thinking about how unfair this all is from candace's POV and while you're doing that they're like "oh here's our big movie btw! this is another alternate timeline where doofenshmirtz is running a despotism, we are going to focus on how this mentally affected all the funny main characters. also perry was forcibly roboticized. oh and our first dimension characters are almost fed to a monster over a pit of lava and also phineas is having a crashout over the perry b-plot" and you're like wait and then they release the pharmacists

I Love The Candace Suit.

It's so disturbing yet I love every minute of it. They made a follow-up to Buford's Life sized Molds from Doofapus from Season 3 and made it a great episode.

Diffidently one of season 5's best. ^_^

Spider-Candace AU Stuff

-Peni and Candace bond over having trouble getting around Spider Society HQ (since Peni can't stick to walls and ceilings without her mech and Candace's wall-sticking powers didn't get rid of her vertigo like they were supposed to)

-As you'd expect Phineas does not react well when he finally learns that Candace is Spider-Woman. It's actually worse than his reaction to Perry, both because she didn't have to worry about Relocation and because, as her Lizard, he's already directly involved

-First Anomaly Villain to show up in Danville is a Red Hulk variant, because why limit ourselves to Spider-Man villains

-Candace-2 is "secretly" a bit salty about Candace-1 being taller than her thanks to her Spider Bite Growth Spurt (secretly is in quotations because despite her masking it like she does pretty much any emotion (girl has issues) literally everyone can tell anyway)

-You know that episode where Candace thought she was a vampire and then was proven right at the last second by literally crumbling to dust in the sun (god Phineas must have felt SO guilty for that) and then the episode just ended there and it never came up again (but presumably the boys glued her back together and cured her)?

Well, at one point a few Spiders including her have to deal with a Dracula variant who somehow managed to steal his universe's Spidey's portal watch, and things go Very Wrong because it turns out Candace's vampirism was just dormant rather than fully cured and Dracula was able to both reawaken it and use it to take control of her

-First proper team-up with a hero from her own world is with the Ninja of Norrisville, because why not add more crossover to my crossover? Again? She and Randy get along so well and so quickly it's almost scary, even though she has no idea what he's saying half the time because she finds Norrisville slang confusing

imagine if you were raised by a group of people who think of you as a mindless animal. you love them deeply, but their perception of you is completely false and that's by design. in reality you have a prestigious job you must keep secret at all cost. it's hard to live a double life and it's embarrassing to pretend you're not capable of complex thought but you manage. and during your prestigious job you have to meet a certain man every day and you're gay as hell so of course you catch feelings for him. you also kind of hate yourself for that, but it doesn't matter, you've fallen for him even though you were not supposed to, you're really supposed to be fighting him, but he's not even THAT evil so it's really fine, right?

except people on twitter are saying you cannot date that human because there's people who think of you as their pet and it would be unfair to them if they somehow found out even though you pay a lot of attention to keeping your two lives seperate and also the pet thing is all a disguise that your nemesis/boyfriend doesn't even know about you are Perry the platypus.

In Korea, Phineas's name is changed to "Phiny"(피니). The show's title in Korea is also "Phiny and Ferb". Possibly it was due to the how long Phineas's name was in Korean syallables

Y'know, I had absolutely NO intention of seeing the live action Lilo & Stitch, and the more I heard about it through the grapevine, the more validated I felt. I just needed a palate cleanser, so I threw on my favorite crossover episode of the original series. Why does no one ever talk about this special? It was fire.
