when a female character who’s well known in pop culture is in a reboot of the series all of the promo is like “(actress) puts a feminist twist on an old character! not a damsel in distress anymore!” and the actress is like “her life in this movie isn’t centered around boys hehe” but nine times out of ten there was nothing wrong with the character in the first place, she’s just feminine and doesn’t stab people
