⤠Feature: @metarix-studios
After dedicating some photographs (previous featured) to show you how interesting photos without minifigures can be, today I want to give a twist and bring a photo full of minifigures. Here's this epic scene from @metarix-studios
The scene is populated with figures throughout the frame, but there is a clear distinction between the "good" group, which is on the more colorful side, versus the "evil" group, on the more monochromatic side. In the center and well focused, there is the ghostly face, almost aligned with the viewer's gaze, of one of the warriors who has different weapons and armor, revealing himself to be the leader of the group and the focus of attention in the image. I loved the customization for creating each character and also the use of simple but creative constructions for the scenery. The bricks of different colors, the plants and the relief of the soil by layers of sheets ensured a good texture. Lighting favors the storytelling. The bluish (nighttime) light contrasted by the orange fire helped to create the idea of opposition between the enemy groups and the predominance of the green color helped to balance the scene within an interesting palette.
Finally, one of the things that caught my attention the most about this photo is the ability to work with a multitude of information and still maintain a cohesive message in addition to searching for inspiration in different sources, such as RPG games, since the scene is very characteristic of these games.
Thank you @metarix-studios for sharing with us this excellent RPG battle scene!

Falcons Charge!
~~~
Second entry to #bc_tipfest photo contest on @brickcentral
I used the tips Use a Screen, Pose Your subject
1. Use a Screen: The entire mountain/field background is a image projected on my iPad. Im a location where a view like that it impossible to find and shoot it so, using a digital screen background is an easy way to get around that!
2. Pose Your Subjects: All the minifigs and horses are aligned parallel to another to show that they are all charging across the field as a coherent group. The Commander is set up front with a much grander horse, while the others are not so far behind, following his lead.
The Final Run
~~~
Iām going to be honest. I havenāt been really closely watching the Flash since CWās Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. But the final episode is airing today, and I thought I would make a quick Flash post because only it. The show will always have a special place in my heart. The Arroweverse in general is what got me into DC comics. And although my love for the arrowverse may have died down over the years, I will always be thankful for the universe it introduced me to. Hope it goes out with a banger tonight!

šTIP: Framing Camera Shots - Close Up and POV
This week weāre getting up close and personal with our little LEGO friends⦠so close that your minifig can sneeze all over your lens. To take LEGO close-ups, youāre going to need a macro lens that has a very short minimum focusing distance. A super macro lens capable of macro photos of insects would be the one youāre looking for, not all macro lenses can get quite that close.
Overview Wide Shot Full and Medium Shots >Close Up and POV Shot<
Medium Close Up

The Medium Close Up Shot frames your subject from the chest and up. Think of this as your standard minifig portrait. This shot is mainly to highlight the personality and emotions of your subject.
Close Up

The Close Up Shot is all about the head. Generally, we humans look at a personās eyes first, so make sure you get the eyes in focus. I suggest using manual focus with a small aperture (the higher the number the smaller the aperture, so f8 and up).
Extreme Close Up

The Extreme Close Up frames the eyes or other details. In film, framing just the eyes gives the viewer a sense of the characterās inner emotions, it can also be an extreme close up of various accessories and builds.
Detail Shot

The Detail Shot is a variation of the extreme close up where we are focusing on an object or accessory. It is used to highlight a storytelling element in the scene that the viewer may not notice.
POV Shot

The purpose of a POV Shot is to make the viewer feel like they're part of the scene. One way to achieve this is to have a limb extending from the edge of the frame, as if the viewer's hand is interacting with the subject. In this example, I chose a dragon's POV, with his claws grasping the knight.
Over the Shoulder Shot

The Over-the-Shoulder Shot is another way to make the viewer feel like they're part of the scene. Shot from behind the shoulder of the observing character, it makes the viewer feel like they're standing just behind the observing character, looking at the subject.
There are many shots that I haven't been able to include due to how long this article is getting, but I hope this helps inspire you to create some great LEGO photography. Thanks for reading!
