Mr. Gaiman, how do you process grief? sorry I come here and ask this out of nowhere, but somehow I feel like you're the only person who can explain it to me. lost my dad two months ago and I feel like it's only gotten worse.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

You process grief slowly, at your own pace and in your own way.

Time will heal, or at least scab over the wound. And in the meantime, you keep on going because the world will keep on going.

It's okay to cry, okay not to cry. When my father died I didn't cry for him for months, until one day I was reading a story by a friend and someone died in the story I'd only met a few pages earlier and I found myself weeping like a baby. And then I started to surface from the numbness and the pain.

Don't let anyone tell you what they think you should be feeling. And if they do tell you, ignore them.

There isn't a schedule for this stuff. There's just grief and time.

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

Belli però questi momenti in cui i protagonisti possono concedersi di stare insieme come un gruppo di amici.

Masaya è lì che molla frasi misteriose sul 'tutto finirà presto', Ryou giustamente gli chiede 'cazzo stai a dì', e Masaya che va in confusione e si chiede chi sia e quale sia l'origine dei suoi poteri. Neanche lontanamente ai livelli di New, però mi ha sorpreso in positivo, sempre meglio del nulla cosmico degli scorsi episodi.

"A' Cavaliere? Com'è che non compari? Mi prendo Ichigo ... Spacco bottiglia ammazzo famiglia ...? Nessuna manifestazione? No? Senti dammi una mano qui, sto finendo le frasi fatte!"

Diciamo che nel vecchio anime hanno cercato di creare un po' di mistero attorno al Cavaliere Blu stesso, non solo riguardo alla sua identità ma anche ai suoi poteri. Cosa che però arriva solo negli ultimissimi episodi, dopo un intero anime a ignorare il personaggio di Masaya e usare il Cavaliere Blu come carta jolly nei filler. Buona idea, ma l'esecuzione non è stata il massimo.
