I have no issues discussing sex. Just personally, I'm not gonna be enthusiastic about it. Like, I will hype any of my friends up but don't expect me to be like "Oh yeah it's the best thing ever!!!" Because it's literally the last thing I wanna do lol - It's not something I'm personally interested in. But I really don't mind talking about it. And there have been moments when I've personally been excluded from "girl talk" because I'm ace. Made me feel like I wasn't "one of the girls". (Thankfully, this hasn't been an issue for me recently, just for a few years after I first came out as ace ♡)

What are some assumptions you wish other people would stop making about you?

Is there any experience or something you wish to share to help other people understand you better?

I know asexuality is a spectrum, and not everyone experiences it the same way. No matter where you are on that spectrum, you are valid and can absolutely identify as asexual if that identity is what speaks to you 💕

Also: I wanna make an educational video this pride month to help spread awareness 💜 (and maybe also to spite a certain author of a well-known children's franchise)

1 - this is such a valid point!! I'm ace, but I'm not actually aro myself

2 - the question that irks me the most is "are you sure you haven't just met the right person yet?" Like, I somewhat get it, there are people who have bisexual awakenings later in life. But I can assure you most ace people have thought a lot about it and are pretty dang sure they're ace.

Lavender Ace Flag:

|| My version of a 5 stripe Asexual flag, that matches the aro, aroace and other a-spec/ LGBTQIA+ flags (and is way more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion because of the symmetry and the colours). It's a flag for anyone on the asexual spectrum. (Feel free to use this if you like it!)

Possible meanings for the stripes:

black: asexuality

grey: grey ace spectrum

white: sexuality

lavender: queerness/ the queer community

purple: the ace community

lavender already exists in the LGBT+ community as a colour representing queerness, diversity and acceptance.

That makes lavender a really good fit for this new ace flag!
