@godliest​​ :  “ it was … a kind of marriage ,  being so close . “   / yeahhhh let him talk abt amora for once :’)     prompts / open.

amora  the  enchantress .. mighty thor was well aware with the deity, more than once had her own run throughs  with the green enchantress. while it was not at all surprising to understand that loki had been involved, more so tangled with her, hearing how such things as relationships worth among the gods had interested jane  foster,  mortal.  “ you seem plagued  by  these  memories. on midgard, marriage was rare to find with someone meaningful to spend life with. “ having someone to grow old with, to watch you die. as morbid as it may sound, isn’t that what everyone wanted ? to escape loneliness ?

“ with that being said, it’s probably not taken as sacred as you describe things with her. “ maybe jane foster once entertained a lingering thought on marriage but it always ended the same way.  not without fear. it was worthless to daydream now, since her sole responsibility is the lightening. “ so what story do you have ? a trickster and enchantress, sounds endearing. “

              “   I AM SURE THERE HAVE BEEN PLENTY OF HOTDOG TO COME BEFORE ME   …   but none greater than the hotdog of thunder!   ”     he stands with an air of pride.   probably more than someone dressed as such should carry with them.   this little intimate party had proven to be a hit, giving them some level of exposure together amongst their friends.   it was moments like these that made a thousand years of godhood and responsibility float away, leaving them standing as two people, arguably in love and completely normal.   as normal as this will ever get.

  she wasn’t lying.   the hotdog costume was a hit at the party.   though he suspects it has less to do about the quality of his attire and more to do about the irony of him wearing it.   he leans against a nearby counter, grin pulled across his face, cup of some migardian “ IPA ” beer, or whatever that means.   but the only thing that matters is the way he looks at her, hotdog costume and all.     “   you having fun?   ”

 playfully, she looks around as if she’s inspecting the party , her nose  felt  numb. “ oh I’m sure, but not .. “ her face  was flushed accompanied with a not subtle attempt to look him over with scrunched eyes. it went through her brain as such : hotdog, hot,  my hot boyfriend , and ‘ my nose is numb ‘ .” you’re  very nice to look at. like, a very hot ...  hotdog everyone wants to be around “  the answer felt satisfactory to jane at the time, giggling at her own words.  

she was unceremoniously leaning on the counter with the liquid culprit in hand just gazing in what might be slight bewilderment.  “ you  have  no idea.”  and then “ yes.” a funny nod. “ it couldn’t be better. “  the flurry of words recited sweetly just how it sounded, from a flushed face and properly intoxicated  lady talking to her lover. such a privilege to love and be loved. normal.   “ this is probably nothing compared to an asgardian party, hm ? “ cup of spirits at her lips, she tugs on his costume once.  “ do you think i could handle alcohol from the gods? yes and yes. ”

jane didn’t really  care  for these kinds of parties . sure, they meant something once. gave money to actual organizations, money to further important finds in the science community .. the list goes on.  now, it’s just a popularity contest between celebrities and the cream of the crop. throwing money at everything and anything. so, it may be strange considering her feelings about it, why exactly jane was there. “ these pig heads used to laugh at my work until I discovered a literal god and the  einstein–rosen bridge, yeah, portals, they act like they’ve always believed in such things. “ shaking her head in blatant annoyance, not really trying to hide anything anymore.

“ so, not to bring work to the table, but I have new catchphrases I want to try out. “ she gets into a stance looking out into the distance before twirling a phantom mjlonir.  “  I’m bringing  the  rainbow ! “

 jane couldn’t  help  but  stare at him  with her lips pressed together, all while wearing an expression  mixed  with both  curiosity and  whimsy. it left a lightness in  her  chest  quite unmatched with anything  she’s  felt  before.  they’ve  become  something of a relationship, though  more  in the spotlight than she would have liked, moments like these made up for it.

 it’s always fun to watch the god of thunder get  this ecstatic over a hot dog costume ( even now as he wore it and conversed with their friends ) if she thought about it too much, the cream of the crop so called experts on ‘ mythical legends of gods ‘ and what have you would most likely lose their minds at the scene. that’s why she loved it. it was theirs. “ you know everyone loves the hot dog costume? you’re killing it. “

     “ WHAT  ELSE  AM  I  SUPPOSED  TO  DO ?  bleed  at  eternity’s  gate ? ”  the  king  valkyrie  is  sympathetic ,  her  smile  quickly  feels  much  sadder  than  it  feels  sarcastic .  she  squeezes  jane’s  hand  from  what  felt  like  a  deathbed  in  this  infirmary ,  the  necrosword  had  plunged  into  her  like  no  sword  ever  had  for  thousands  of  years .  she  sits  up ,  studying  the  mighty  thor  closely .  she  had  made  a  decision ,  the  scientist’s  will  much  stronger  than  many  in  the  realm .  a  formidable  warrior ,  and  a  beloved  sister .

     one  that  brunhilde  was  about  to  lose .

     sighing  shakily ,  she  admires  the  blonde  figure ,  the  determination  in  her  eyes .  the  king  valkyrie  wasn’t  a  fan  of  sacrifices .  pride  &  worry  paints  her  own  hues .  “ be  careful . ”  she  whispers ,  with  a  quick  glance  of  mjolnir ,  “ …  please ,  be  careful .”

when  life  became  fleeting, sudden or  endangered, people got weird. jane knows how it goes because while she was quietly suffering in a room not unlike the one the king inhabited , she had everyone close  but  jane never really let them address it or talk to her like everything was over. a fantastic mind  at heart, but oh, how unbelievably stubborn she had proven to be.  the squeeze felt faint,  of  all things.  but, she supposes as she was  mighty  thor, nothing could hurt her. jane swishes the thoughts away and kneels at the bedside, holding her hand gently.

all she could do was dutifully nod in understanding at her worried requests. jane couldn’t make any promises right now. all she was set on was the simple fact that, asgard’s king will not die today, because while jane understood the terms and conditions, but the mighty thor could make sure it gets done.   “  I know, I know .. but between the three of us, we can say I’ve always been the MOST careful. “ she beams in such a way it was private, just between them.
