Honestly it’s fucking disgusting if people are actually glorifying the abuse of jack rose like what they were in his situation and others was doing it to them?

Little Rant

Look. I hate to be that person. But I believe there is a certain bad trend I need to address in the Just Dance community. Warning, there is talk about abuse and sexual content.

So while being in the discord, I noticed there was some... concerning discussion regarding certain topics.

To start, I saw a lot of disturbing things said about Jack and Jack's childhood trauma. I hate to mention it again, but as someone with CPTSD from my childhood it hurts seeing people stereotype a real condition and basically glorify it. May I remind you, Jack being abused by Nightswan is a headcanon developed by the fandom. Of course it's canon she disapproves of him and doesn't treat him well, but physical abuse is not canon and most likely won't be. Well I'm not at all suggesting it's wrong to write him like that, what I am saying is don't glorify it. Jack is way more than his trauma, and making that all he is stereotyping trauma and honestly is disgusting. I saw some people have headcanons that are all just either different ways Nightswan abused him or just how traumatized he is. That is disturbing to me. Why would you want to glorify something so awful??

I would also like to mention how I asked certain individuals to either censor those headcanons or to take them to a private chat. When I suggested that one particular individual kind responded very callously, and then proceeded to continue sharing this headcanons uncensored, even though I stated it was a trigger for me.

I also want to commend @the-l-is-silent-yall for coming to me and sharing how they were writing childhood trauma and asking if it was ok to release. I'm not saying I'm always expecting people to ask me or someone with CPTSD if they are writing it correctly or if its ok to release, I just want to say I appreciate the gesture and I want to applaud their effort to make the story accurate and save to read.

Next, there were some concerning things written about the Wanderrose ship. I don't really think I need to go into a lot of detail, but Ollie recently made a post about how fetishized the relationship was, and no more did that come abundant then when I saw the messages in the server. I would like to mention that Wanderlust and Jack are implied to be, at oldest, 18 or 19. They're supposed to be young adults and overly sexualized content featuring them is kind of gross. Another bad trend I noticed is a trend following... consensual of being taken away, but that boundary not being respected. Even something like kissing or giving hickies requires consent. I feel like I should have called this out sooner, but I wanted to support fic writers since we have a small community of them. But consent is something that should respected, no matter how small it is.

Lastly, and @missionaryghoul talked about this in their post, but there was also some instances of bullying in the server. When someone makes it clear that they are passionate about something, there's no need to directly mock it in front of them. It's ok to have opinions, but bashing something right in front of them is just cruel, ESPECIALLY since they are one of the sweetest people I have ever interacted with on this site.

Just please be kind to others, ok?

What sucks about this situation for most of us that do jd art (I “formally” used to do it) is that he follows me on insta and I can see he follows this person too . It could put us at risk of having our art stolen like Elliot’s and many others.

I decided to post it because I feel like many people need to see this:

The situation:

So Jenefermelio has posted art of other artists plus my art on tumblr. They put it on their own account and decided not to credit us.

Some of the artists, on tumblr, insta or any other media platform has reached out to the person who posted that and asked to credit them. But decided not to. Even report the account for copyright but refuse to do anything.

When you don’t credit your artists it becomes stealing. And it’s not oké to take somebody else work when they work hard on their art.

What to do:

Let’s spread awareness around that this is unacceptable and tag your artists when you post art of somebody
