The warm weather warmed your face as you and Bucky walked the busy streets of New York.

There was this little old timey restaurant that was supposed to resemble the 40s. You thought it would be a cute idea to bring your boyfriend to this place.

You entered the little restaurant and took a seat in a large red booth. You were giddy with excitement, hoping he would like it.

“Is it accurate?” You asked with a bright smile.

“Yeah, it’s pretty close actually,” he looked around the restaurant with curious eyes.

Your eyes landed on a waitress and they widened when you saw the extremely short miniskirt and blouse that was very undone.

“Wow,” you looked the waitress up and down.

Bucky followed your gaze and looked confused. “In the 40s most women dressed very modestly….”

You laughed, “times have changed old man.”

“I’m not that old!” He said with a wry smile.

You both ordered your food and waited. You ordered spaghetti and he ordered a hamburger, how American of him.

You were a quick eater and began quickly eating your food.

“Need a shovel?” He teased with a smirk.

“No, I’m just hungry!”

“If that isn’t obvious.”

You finished your food long before he did. You stared at his fries and then back at his knowing gaze.

“No.”

“Please!!!” You gave him a pouty face.

“You’ll eat all of them!” He wasn’t being serious by the big smile on his face.

“No I won’t, I’ll at least leave one for you. Pleaseeeee.”

With a dramatic sigh he finally gave in.

“Fine you can’t have a few, not the whole plate.”

“Yayyyy!” You reached over and began grabbing at his fries. Before long all his fries were gone.

“I know you did not just eat all my fries too.”

You blushed and gave him a shy smile.

“I may have.”

For dessert, you both got milkshakes. He got chocolate and you got some extravagant flavor. You wanted to get out of your comfort zone and try something new.

The waitress placed the milkshakes on the table and you thanked her. Your milkshake was purple.

“What on earth is that?” He looked at your milkshake with confusion.

“The menu said it was…..I don’t remember.” You laughed before taking a sip. Instantly, your eyes widened and you frowned deeply.

“You don’t like it do you?” He smirked. “Told ya to go with the classics.” He sipped his chocolate milkshake.

“It takes weird and it’s sour and….” You eyed his milkshake.

“Nuh uh absolutely not, you already ate my fries.”

You gave him the most pleading look you could possibly give. Bucky pinched the bridge of his nose before putting another straw in the glass.

“I love you so much, Bucky, such a gentleman.” You giggled and smiled*

“I love you too, even though you’re incredibly infuriating.”

You both happily sipped on his chocolate milkshake. When you were both done, you walked back to your shared apartment hand in hand. ~

If you can’t tell….I daydream….a lot. I wrote this when I randomly thought it would be an interesting idea that could maybe become a series. I may delete this so I need a little feedback just to know if this isn’t really weird. Or maybe it is weird but it’s good. Now I’m rambling, hope you enjoy and let me know if I should write a second part!

The avengers were up against another kind of force. Someone who could create portals. They were able to deal with it but unfortunately someone got thrown through time and space. Bucky Barnes was thrown through a portal into another realm.

Bucky opened his eyes to be surrounded by jungle made up of plants that didn’t seem normal and there were creatures that he had never seen. Nothing here made sense. Bucky unholstered his gun and began walking. He trudges through bushes and terrain but it seemed like he had been going in circles.

A large gray dragon with black limbs came out of the brush. It was almost soundless and it seemed impossible with its large size. It must’ve been stalking him.

She walked around him and began circling him. She made no hostile actions, just circled curiously. Bucky aimed his gun at her. She suddenly stopped and began to stare at him. He stared back wide eyed.

A blue light flashed and she shapeshifted into human form. She stared at him.

“W-who are you?” He said incredulously.

She gave him a look of confusion. She didn’t understand. She pulled something out of her pocket and tossed it to him. It was a necklace with a crystal attached to it.

Bucky eyes the crystal warily before leaned down to grab it. He never lowered his gun.

She made a gesture with her hands for him to put the necklace over his head. He gave her a stern yet fearful look before reluctantly pulling the necklace over her head.

“Hello”, she said and held up three fingers.

Bucky’s eyes widened, he could understand her.

“The crystal alters any language into your understanding.”

Again he asked, “who are you?”

You can call me y/n, “who are you?”

“James.”

“Where are you from, James?”

“Brooklyn.”

“I have never heard of a place, she looked at him with more confusion. You must not be from this realm.”

Bucky’s eyes widened. “What do you mean, different realm?”

“You’re from a different planet I assume?”

“Is this not Earth?”

“No, this is Orenhein. How did you get here?”

His mind was reeling. I’m on a different planet?!

“I fell through a portal.”

She thought this over in her mind.

“Do you have a way back?”

“I….I don’t know.”

She felt a pang of sympathy for him. “Come with me.”

He looked at her. He had only met her, he can’t simply just follow the first person he meets in a whole new realm.

“I don’t know you nor where I am so sorry but no.”

She gave him a stern look. “You must come with me. I cannot leave you here, you could be a threat.”

He squeezed the handle of his gun. “No.”

“Then I’ll have to take you anyway.” She began walking toward him.

He raised his gun and fired. Bucky’s eyes widened when the bulket ricocheted off her body.

She quickly swung a chain that seemed to come out of nowhere and it coiled around his body. With a thud, he fell to the ground.

“Definitely not a threat”, she mumbled to herself.

“Hey! Untie me right now!” He began thrashing and trying to escape.

“I can’t unfortunately since you said you wouldn’t come with me so now I have to drag you. I would’ve really preferred you walk.”

“I don’t even know you!”

“I don’t know you either and yet here we are.” She began dragging him by the coiled chain and through the forest.

“Where are you taking me?!” Bucky demanded.

“To my home. You wouldn’t last a day out here.”

“You don’t even know me!”

“I can see your memories, Sargent Barnes.” She glances back at him.

Bucky’s eyes widened. She knows everything about him and he only told her his name.

“I see now why you don’t trust me or anyone easily. Even though you’re tied up I promise to not harm you.”

“How would I know you’re not lying? I mean you’re dragging me through a forest!”

“Because if I wanted you gone I would have just left you out here.”

“And just why are you helping me?”

“I’m taking pity on you.”

She found a cave and leaned him against the wall.

“We’ll be at my house in the morning, it’s too dangerous to continue on foot in the dark.” She began collecting things to make a fire.

Bucky glared at her from where he was sat.

“So, what are you anyway?”

She looked at him before laying sticks out. “I’m a shapeshifter but I can only shift into dragon form, nothing else.”

He looked a little curious now.

She got the fire started easily. “What are you exactly?”

“I’m a human,” he grumbled.

“You’re different looking from what pictures I’ve seen.”

“Gee thanks,” He said flatly.

“No, I mean you’re built much stronger and you have a mechanical prosthetic.”

“I’m a super soldier, an enhanced human.”

“I have never heard of such a thing.”

“Yeah well, then consider yourself lucky.” He went back to brooding.

She looked at him with a hint of sympathy.

“Are you hungry?”

Bucky met her gaze. He wasn’t taking food from this person he didn’t trust. His cheeks when red when his stomach growled. “No.”

She had an amused expression. “Do you like plums?”

He said nothing.

“I’ll go grab some.”

She came back with a handful of plums. “I saw in your memory that you have these on earth, yes?”

“Yes,” he grumbled, still not liking the idea of her being able to see into his brain.

She came and crouched in front of him. “I understand that you don’t trust me, but know I am only trying to help.” She held out a plum in front of him.

He grumbled but his cheeks were red as he leaned forward and took the plum out of her hand.

“I would untie you, but I fear you’d leave and then meet imminent death.”

“Is this entire place just a death trap?,” he said as she chewed his plum.

“Only if you’ve never been here.”

“That’s comforting,” his voice dripped with sarcasm.

She seemed surprised by his words “Really? I’d find that terrifying.”

“I was being sarcastic.”

She looked at him confused. “Sat-cas-tic….I don’t know what that means.”

“You’ve never heard of sarcasm?” He raised a brow.

“I have not, what is it?” She asked curiously.

“It’s when you say something you don’t really mean.” He was slightly amused by her lack of knowledge.

“I think I understand.”

She continued to give him plums and her cheeks began heating up when his gaze would not leave hers.

Hi guys! This is my first fanfic so far please don’t be harsh 😅. I wasn’t sure where I was going with this so I’m sorry the end was kind of abrupt. I’ve never posted a fanfic before but I’m gonna try and see what happens! I hope you all like it and if you do please let me know!

When you thought of the memories when you had first began truly seeing him.

You were pulled from your thoughts when you heard a knock on your bedroom door. You got up to go unlock the door. It was just and old habit of yours to keep the door locked.

“Hey doll” Bucky said with a smile.

“Hey Buck” you said as you let him in your room. “How was training?”

“It was alright, Steve may have serum but I’m still stronger” he laughed and you rolled your eyes.

“What have you been doing all day without me?” Bucky asked as he shrugged of his jacket and set it on your office chair.

“Nothing but sleep” you chuckled a bit

“You love sleep don’t you” he laughed

“Yes I do”

After he got his shoes off you swore you saw bit of red dusting his cheeks.

“C-could we maybe….cuddle? I know you’ve slept all day and-“

“Sure” you cut him off seeing how nervous he was. You were a bit nervous too, you both weren’t too physical. You were the more touchy one.

At the beginning of your guy’s relationship Bucky was very careful to not overstep boundaries. You wanted physical affection desperately but didn’t know how to get it. You were usually nervous or scared since the only physical affection you ever got when you were younger were those to hurt you. But eventually you trusted him enough to let him hug and cuddle you. You were very happy and dare you say proud of yourself whenever you and him became physical.

You opened up the covers and invited him to lay with you. You blushed when the love of your life wrapped his arms around you and held you close.

“May I lay on your chest?” Bucky asked after kissing your forehead.

“You may” you said as you blushed deeper. As he laid his head on your chest you combed out his dark locks with your fingers.

“Mmm keep doing that” he murmured. You chuckled “anything for you my king.”

Ten minutes passed and you heard the sound of him faintly snoring. You smiled to yourself at the sight of his sleeping form. He looked much more at ease when he’s sleeping than he does when he’s awake. It was rare that Bucky would sleep for an entire night without waking up at least once. So whenever he fell asleep you tried to prolong it for as long as possible.

Your hand had a faint blue glow to it that you rested on the back of his head. You would often do this when he was asleep to calm his mind. This sort of magic would clear your head when sleeping and prolong your slumber. You tried to do this whenever he had a nightmare and would scream in his sleep. If you were to wake up before his nightmare woke him, you would quickly try and use your magic to soothe the war in his mind. This usually worked, however on other occasions it did not.

As you eased his mind a small smile appeared on his face. You blushed at the sight of him. You kissed his cheek as you rubbed his back. You felt the tight muscles on his back and began massaging his back to try and work out some of the tension. You heard him groan in his sleep in contentment.

You worked out the tension his his shoulders and most of his back. This took about thirty minutes and you were perfectly happy to do it if it made him more comfortable.

After you finished, your eyelids felt heavy, despite sleeping almost all day. You drifted off to sleep and when you were asleep, you were basically dead to the world.

You woke up and it was around 9:45 and you heard the shower running. You were a little sad knowing that he wasn’t in the bed with you anymore. You lay there waiting for him. You didn’t know how long he had been in the shower but a few minutes later you heard the water stop running. You heard some shuffling before the door swung open. Your cheeks were a deep shade of red as your eyes landed on Bucky with only a towel hung low on his hips.

“Hey doll”, he said with a smirk in that velvety voice at the sight of your blush.

“Hey Buck”, you said quietly as you tried to not let your eyes wander lower than his abs.

“See something you like?” He flexed.

You giggled “I love everything about you Bucky.”

He now had a small, warm smile “Now put some clothes on and get over here!” You demanded with your own smirk.

“You sure you want me dressed?” He had a devious grin.

“I’ll leave that up to you to decide.” You shot back.

He went to his room and grabbed a pair of black boxers and returned to your room.

“I landed somewhere in between.” He said with a lopsided smile.

“You were gone forever”, you groaned and reached for him. He giggled and reluctantly wrapped his arms around you .

“How are you not full of energy? You slept all day!” He asked and then chuckled. You giggled . “Like I said I love sleep….but I love you more.” You turned and kissed him. He gave you that sweet, lopsided grin when you pulled away.
