A little while back I got frustrated with the design of my personal favorite boys Stygian and the Pony of Shadows, so I redesigned them!

Stygian, I just had a lotta headcanons and wanted to mush them all into his design, like, first of all, I wanted to make him have Starswirl's build (not shown, but you get the idea) and longer hair (like the alternate stygian from the comics, kinda??)

The Pony of Shadows. Hooboy. I found the design in canon almost... comical? The HUGE eyes with NO ears, he looked all around pretty soft and squishy instead of dark and intimidating like he was supposed to be. So uh, after almost rotting my brain out listening to the Centaurworld soundtrack, I came up with this design based on the Nowhere King (the song at least)

Additional headcanons

- I really headcanon that Starswirl and Stygian are half brothers, so much so that I pretty much rewrote the whole pillar story lol

- Stygian's talent is in alchemy and he has the special magical ability to turn invisible (which, in my version of things, is how he initially met the darkness that corrupted him)
