I took my worries to the mountains, today. It didn’t radically cure my self esteem or rid my mind of anxious thoughts. It didn’t teach me how trust or be fearlessly vulnerable. I did not have an epiphany of any kind, and my worries were right where I left them when I returned to the trailhead. But today the mountains did reassure me that I am strong and capable, even while carrying those worries, and that I can find at least one moment of solace in their shadow.

Hiked up to Sacagawea Peak (9,650') today- but there weren't even any mountain goats at the summit, so I guess this sick view will have to suffice. 🌞
