The thrum of notes inside my skin

revels in the silence now within,

beyond the specter that is my body

and the energy that surrounds me.

Moments ticking by like the beats my heart make.

The outside noise too loud,

too loud to still my broken thoughts.

The nerves under my skin tingling,

an uneasy feeling trying to tear apart my soul.
