One of the reasons I LOVE (yes I do) star wars outlaws is because of the tremendous amount of women in it.

Hot take but if you draw or otherwise depict Kay "better looking" (no broken nose, large breasts, etc) than she actually appears in the game you're pretty much on the same level as the men who complain about how "ugly" she is

I wish the Outlaws fandom treated Asara better.

From the moment I saw him in the prologue I was enamored with him (he is extremely attractive) and when he came back as a main character I was ecstatic; apparently this was not a universal reaction.

Their relationship is not antagonistic; they bicker but THE big reason why Kay goes "no deal" is because Asara getting out alive was not part of the aforementioned "deal".

There is no way to get a different takeaway from that scene. They annoy each other but they're also ride or die for each other.

They're siblings your honor.

I mean. Mulan also had a body count in the hundreds, and Raya had lesbian subtext with an enemy turned friend plus a useful animal sidekick that was a mix of different animals. So maybe Kay really is a Disney Princess?

Some of my promised screencaps of Hondo from early in the DLC, if anyone would like them. Feel free to mess with them however you'd like. I don't really play with camera settings much, I just hoard reference snaps like a dragon, but I do find that my PS5 screencaps always seem kinda dark.

Asara's not really a fuckboy though 😭 Fuck up boy, maybe, since him and the rebels could've handled the hiring Kay situation better so she (maybe) wasn't completely annoyed with them, but fuckboy implies he won't stop hitting on her or something which (despite what people who have never played/watched the game have been led to believe) never happens. He's just eager to get people to join the cause lol

Quick Outlaws update:

° I don't think we properly appreciate how incredible it is to have beautiful, detailed open world Star Wars games like this. Like, you can just ride a speeder bike all over Tatooine and watch the twin suns set! Or play Sabacc at the Mos Eisley cantina! Or fight your way through a torrential monsoon rain on Akiva! Or get some street food from a busy, rundown bazaar on Toshara! Or stop by at the exact kind of shitty, grimy space station cantina for shady dealings I envisioned for my LARP some years back. I love it.

° Gotta love how unimpressed Kay is with the Rebels. Obviously *I* love them but it makes sense for her.

° Asara is hot. By design, I suppose, in a "Rebel fuckboy" kind of way. Congrats on your own personal Rebel fuckboy, Kay.

° Jaylen still wins at fuckboy vibes, though. Dude's like a walking red flag.

° And her mum is... something else. Oh honey. At least you have ND.
