okok i need opinions. in a bikers v surfers andor au, tell me which one cassian and melshi would each be.

really though, because I've been a star wars fan since age 5 and never have I questioned my knowledge as much as when working on my fic. suddenly I question every sentence bc I'm like "wait ... did they have that in star wars? do I need a different word for that? am I forgetting one random subplot of one episode of clone wars that is suddenly essential for the understanding of this planet and people will scream at me in the comments and call me a fake fan if I don't mention it??"

Andor makes me want to write a Star Wars fanfiction but it's so scary. What if I write "Glup Shitto was sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee and reading his favourite book", but someone comments "didn't you mean he was drinking glop-goppy and reading a holo-journal? 🤨" so I open wookiepedia to check it out and it turns out that they also never invented balconies in the star wars universe and Glup Shitto can't read because of the freak accident he suffered in the episode 10 of the 2024 show "Jar-Jar and Babu Frik". What then.

I am so heartbroken rn ... I didn't have time to check my notifications in a while so I was shocked to see that this blog had suddenly gained a LOT of followers ... well, turns out pretty much all of them are (porn) bots 😭😭 I probably can't even block/remove all of them bc there's literally HUNDREDS of them (like more than 300 ... what the hell) and it'll take me forever 😭😭

ough also. melshi taking care of kleya on the ship because he knows what it's like to be hit hard by an electric shock like that. something that i think is pretty heavily implied in melshi's character is this "never again" mindset. like he leaves niamos with the goal of spreading the word about narkina, because people need to know and need to stop and need to never let it happen again, so of course he joins the rebellion, so of course he's gentle with someone who's just fallen victim to the empire's brutality in a way he's intimately familiar with. as a character i think he's such a good, albeit minor, example of how this show portrays solidarity, the specific solidarity that the oppressed show to the oppressed. this "never again" mindset that permeates so many characters, like luthen's "make it stop" mantra, and cassian's grief over the ghorman massacre in parallel to the suppression of ferrix in parallel to the destruction of kenari, is shown really subtly with melshi, but just by nature of him BEING there in season 2, he embodies this idea that when you survive systemic violence and brutality you make it your life's mission to ensure that violence is put to an end.
