One day, he takes a book from Remus' shelf and sees Remus also keeps things from him, inside of his books.

So he starts to leave little notes inbetween the pages of the books, and lends them to Remus. Remus does the same with the books he reads. This becomes their way of talking.

One day, Remus finds a note in his favourite book. It's a note written on a blue paper, it's Sirius' handwriting.

Some Regulus Headcanons

he is aro

he definitely doesn't understand the concept of romance

though he has a big heart

but he only shows his love to people in his inner circle

which is not bigger than sirius, remus, lily and sometimes james

remus and him are great friends, they can get each other so well

and they can talk about how dumb sirius is

he can play the piano really well

because it was the only thing his father did with him and he wanted to be like him when he grew up

so he learnt it really well

he can also play the violin

he can do ballet too

he had a lot of time and he wanted to get better so he had a lot of hobbies

not being successful gave him so much anxiety

AU which Remus doesn't turn into a thirsty werewolf, he turns into a big puppy and wants to play fetch all night

"Mooooonyyy I made you coffee!" Sirius handed Remus a mug of salted caramel, Remus' favourite type of coffee. Remus didn't say any words, he didn't even nod or glance at him. He kept his silence, he has been silent for the whole morning.

"Moons! Are you still angry about that?"

The night before was fullmoon, and Sirius had a little bit of too much fun with Remus' werewolf shape. Even though it wasn't a big thing for Sirius, because he just threw a ball a few times and rubbed his belly after saying he is a good boy, Remus made it a big deal. Sirius didn't understand why, his tongue was out and his tail was waggling, but now he was very bitter about it.

Remus didn't answer again, he had a stupid habit of not talking when he was angry, which really annoyed Sirius, and this was the reason why Remus was doing it.

Sirius' face shined when a brilliant idea occured to him. If Remus acted like a puppy on fullmoons, maybe...

He reached out to stratch Remus behind his ear, with a smirk he usually had while doing pranks.

Surprisingly, his plan worked and Remus was giggling.

Sirius decided to take it a bit further, it was fun after all.

"Who's a good boy?"

Remus frowned at first, he was going to be annoying more, but then he laughed.

"Me!! Me!! I'm a good boy!!"

Regulus died when he was 17 and Sirius was 18, and Sirius was probably not done with school yet and we know the Order of the Phoenix don't let students in, what if the reason Sirius joined the Order was to protect kids like Regulus from joining the Death Eaters because he felt guilty of Regulus' death and the rest of the Marauders joined with him because they didn't want Sirius to fight alone?

Marauders in Quarantine

Lily somehow manages to stay productive, does a lot of DIYs, bakes, cooks, never misses a class

But she has her days too, sometimes she can't leave the bed at all

She stays at home most of the time, doesn't want to go out either

She is fine staying at home, and not seeing anyone, though sometimes staying with her sister all the time annoys her

She definitely loves wearing masks too, because she can mouth along to the songs she is listening to

She definitely played Animal Crossing like the rest of the group

James invited Sirius and Regulus to his house so they wouldn't have to spend the whole quarantine with their parents

Though it was a good idea, because their parents refused to wear masks and didn't believe Coronavirus was real, so they caught the virus

Regulus is very productive and attended his classes while James and Sirius did nothing but playing games all day long

They love Among Us so much, they always play it together, sometimes Regulus joins them

Both James and Sirius are extroverts and they both can't bear staying at home at all, they just want to go out and party

But they care so much about James' parents, so they would definitely not go out

But his parents are so old and they don't want to risk it

But they aren't so good at not creating chaos in the house

You can find them in the garden playing with fire or riding motorcycle with their hands in the air

They once listened Lily's idea and tried baking breads

There was flour all over the kitchen but the bread tasted really good

This is how Sirius found out he likes cooking

They do TikTok dances an challenges a lot

They also do partner yoga, they are so good at it

James extremely hates wearing masks, he has Asthma and masks make it worse

Sirius doesn't really have an opinion on masks, he'd wear them as long as he needs to

Regulus really enjoys wearing masks, he wears on his hoodie and sunglasses and his mask, and no one can see his face when he's out

He also says that when Covid is over, they should keep social distancing, he loves staying away from people

Remus really enjoys wearing masks too, because "it hides half of my face, I don't understand why lots of people hate it"

Remus tries to be productive too, but he somehow spends the whole day on his phone, lying in the bed

He bingewatches a lot of shows

He thought he'd read a lot of books too, but he has no motivation to read or study

He used to finish a book in 2-3 days, but he can't even read more than 10 pages in a day in quarantine

He loves staying indoors because he finally doesn't have to go out and talk to people

But he is left alone with his thoughts for a long time, he questions so many things about himself

He doesn't like questioning but at the end, he found out who he is, and that's nice

The way he was in the beginning of the quarantine and now is so different, both physically and mentally

He dyes his hair a lot

Sirius is so lucky because whenever Remus tries a new hairstyle, he sends Sirius snaps

Sirius can't help but fall in love

Dorcas would try so many new hobbies, you'd see her on her Instagram stories with a guitar one day and with cross stitch the other day

They all facetime all the time, because they miss each other so much

Sometimes they don't even talk in the facetime, they do the things they should do everyday, but just in front of their laptops so they can be together

James yells he's in love with Lily and flirts with her the whole time

Sirius just simps Remus he doesn't even talk much

James makes sure every single one of his friends take care of themself everday

He sends good morning texts because he always wakes up so early and reminds them to drink enough water

James and Remus have their birthday in March, so they couldn't throw the birthday party they do every year

Remus never turns on his camera

He'd rather die than showing his face in the class

He doesn't even listens the class

He just turns on Zoom, changes his deadname to Remus and sleeps

When teachers asks a question to Remus, James and Sirius either say that Remus doesn't have a mic or his connection is so bad because they are good friends and of course they know Remus is sleeping

Though sometimes he answers and when he answers, he checks his answer from his phone before actually talking

But when he turns on his camera, Sirius doesn't listen the teacher and he only stares at Remus the whole time

During classes usually the Marauders talk about the people and how boring the class is in their group chat

Or like "lmao isn't the new guy so annoying"

They talk about anything but the lesson

Lily is the only one who really listens and takes notes

James usually answer questions teacher asks, because he is smart and a nerd

Once James was singing so loud and finger drumming a song

He had lots messages from his friends but he wasn't checking his phone

The entire class heard him singing

Minnie joked about how beautiful James' voice is

"Ready for the date?" Sirius asks, holding his tears back. Remus is going on a date with a boy named Fabian, and he is looking nervous, so Sirius wants to help him.

"I can cry after he goes on a date," he thinks, "I can't make him sad now."

"I-" Remus laughs nervously. "Actually I'm not, I need help with my hair and clothes and- I don't even know, what does one do before dates!?"

"Hey, hey calm down, I'll help you." says Sirius, he ruffles Remus' hair, he wishes that Remus was getting ready for a date with him instead of that handsome Ravenclaw Quidditch captain.

Remus smiles and slowly nods, Sirius smiles back at him. He wants to cry, the last thing he wants to do is helping Remus for a date that is not with him. But he does anyway, because he's a good friend, and he knows he will never be the one Remus wants or Remus loves.

"So is my hair better like this, or like this?" says Remus, Sirius is smitten with both hair styles, he doesn't know which one is better because he thinks both of them is so great. He has never seen something that doesn't look good on Remus.

"The second one I guess," says Sirius, he tries to hide the fact he's so deeply in love, Remus doesn't notice, he never does, Sirius has spend a lot of time being obvious, but Remus hasn't noticed, or maybe he hasn't cared.

Why would he care anyway? Was Sirius that important? He was only a friend who couldn't even manage being friends.

"Okay, and which sweater?" He takes out two sweaters from his closet. One of them is the blue one James' mother knitted last summer, and the other one is the oversized brown sweater that Sirius always steals and wears.

"The brown one is mine!" says Sirius, he tries to sound like he's joking, but he's too sad for it. And he is not joking, he doesn't want Remus to wear something belongs to both of them when going on a date with someone else.

Someone who is a lot better than Sirius, a Quidditch captain, a Prefect, a good brother, not a coward who would run away without his brother, someone who reads books, someone who is Remus' type.

Someone who has a good family that will accept their relationship and love him. Someone Sirius could never be. Even if he wanted to be.

Remus laughs, when he didn't laugh at Sirius' silly puns anyway?

"The blue one then." He takes the clothes he's already wearing, a hoodie that belongs to Sirius and sweatpants and gets dredsed for the date.

'He'll no longer wear your clothes anymore. He has someone else to steal clothes from. You're going to be replaced.'

He tries to ignore the thoughts, he can't cry, not yet, not in front of Remus, not when he's happy.

But he can't ignore the thoughts, slowly being replaced hurts him.

'It's not getting replaced, you were never in the place you wanted to be.'

He curses his brain, why does his own brain has to hate him so much? They should be in the same team but his thoughts keep making him sad.

He realizes he probably didn't hear what Remus was saying while being so lost in his thoughts, Remus is looking at him, it's hard to understand what he's thinking and if he's confused or sad or happy.

"What are you thinking? You didn't hear any word I said." He is not angry, he is smiling.

"I- nothing- I just- got lost in your beauty." Sirius says the last five words so quietly, he doubts Remus heard him, he hopes he didn't.

"Fabian will be here in some minutes I guess. Do I look okay? Also can you give me some chocolate? I feel kinda dysphoric, I think it will help."

Remus talks so fast, like how he always does whenever he's nervous. Sirius wonders if Fabian knows the little things about Remus like he does.

Sirius gives him chocolate quickly, he always has some chocolate near himself so he can be quick in moments like this. He tries to calm Remus down with words he knows helps Remus.

Remus takes it, hugs Sirius so tightly. Sirius' words clearly made him feel good. "Thank you, I'm so lucky to have you in my life."

He takes a big bite from the chocolate Sirius just gave him.

"Moons, don't drink lots of coffee."

Remus nods and as soon as Fabian enters the room, he quickly says goodbye and leaves the room.

Sirius knows he was fast because he was excited, but he feels like Remus was excited to leave him, couldn't stand being with Sirius.

Sirius gets under his bed sheets, he hugs his pillow, imagining it's Remus. He knows that Remus will sleep in somebody else's arms, he'll find peace in his arms, not Sirius' arms anymore.

He wants to hate Fabian, but Fabian is so great, so amazing, there's not a single reason for disliking him, he's an angel, a great person.

He falls asleep quickly, this is what always happens when he's sad, he falls asleep crying and sleeps for endless hours, when he wakes up he feels so bad, but whenever he gets sad, he believes a 12 hour long sleep will take away all of his problems.

When he wakes up, he turns to the side Remus' bed is at, the first thing he always does in the morning is waking Remus up.

But Remus is not in his bed, Sirius remembers the last night, Remus has gone to a date, of course he won't be in his bed. But he can't help the feeling of betrayal.

When he finally sees Remus again, they're in the breakfast table, Remus is staring at Fabian who is sitting on the Ravenclaw table. His hair is combed, his clothes are looking fine.

'Maybe they didn't have a thing, maybe they just spend the night together.'

Then Sirius sees the prefect badge Remus is wearing, a Ravenclaw one. He probably tried to hide what they did, but the badge is making everything clear. He doesn't say anything for the whole breakfast time, he doesn't eat either, he just plays with his food and tries not to stare at Remus.

Remus doesn't seem to realize what he's wearing until Lily asks him since when he's a Ravenclaw, Sirius wants to get away from the table, but he can't, he loves all of his friends too much for this. Remus blushes, takes it off immediately, Lily laughes.

James jokes about being an uncle, Sirius steps on his foot, the last thing he wants to talk about is Remus having Fabian's babies, but they talk about it, Sirius closes his ears, a tear slowly drops from his eye. No one notices, Sirius feels like he's becoming invisible.

'The fourth Marauder is going to be Fabian and they're going to forget me, they already did.'

He pulls his own hair, he knows his friends love him and these are not logical thoughts, but he can't help the thoughts.

Remus realized they were nonbinary when they were fifteen

Right after figuring out their sexuality

It has been kinda hard to figure out, but when they did, they felt so great

They tried a lot of names before choosing Remus

Usually the names they tried were the names of the characters they loved

All of the Marauders always supported them while figuring out themself

And they literally fought anyone who misgendered them or was disrespectful

Lily was the first one they came out to, she made Remus feel so great about their gender

They always stole the clothes of both Lily and Sirius, but they went on shopping with both of them and bought clothes they felt great while wearing

Whenever someone asked their "biological gender" they always came up with sarcastic answers

"A packet of chocolate"

"5 knuts"

"Herbology notes"

All of the teachers used his real name, Remus in classes and acted like they don't know their deadname

In fact, most of them forgot their deadname

Their parents were a little bit confused, but very supportive

Their friends' positive words made them feel so good about themself

They realized they are great and valid, and they felt bad about themself once in a blue moon

When they became a professor at Hogwarts, there was a nonbinary student

They were the first one the student came out to, and they supported the student no matter what

They bought them pride flags and pins, helped them overcome dysphoria

Remus reminded them being nonbinary is cool as fuck, and anyone who says otherwise is wrong
