You ever read something you wrote and think it’s great then read it again later and think it’s the worst thing you have ever written in your life? Cause same.
This may or may not be the reason there has not been any new post recently 🧍🏼‍♀️

Wherever you go
Gojo Satoru X Reader
Warning: Gojo may be a little ooc but I really don’t think that much, reincarnation, everyone’s alive. Best friend Tsumiki. Sukunas a professor, so is Nanami. Gojo and geto are students too.
Summary: After having the same nightmare almost every night everything comes to a head when you are met with his blue eyes and a whole life time of memories
Word count: 2.7k
Please don’t look to hard at particulars I wrote this immediately when I had the idea. Tsumiki and Megumi are still related.
Tumblr media
I just woke up from a dream where you and I had to say goodbye and I don’t know what it all means.
The day started out like any normal day.
You woke up from the same nightmare, got dressed, did your regular morning routine then went outside to meet your friend, Tsumiki in the same spot you do every morning.
You passed by the same people every morning, most of them the owners of the small shops on the street. You said good morning as usual.
You went to the same cafe as you always did when you and tsumiki needed to work on an assignment, you usually picked the same seat every time but today there was already someone in your seat.
But other than that one hiccup, by all accounts this was just like any other day.
So why did you feel like your nerves were on end. Like you were missing something or like today was some important day.
You stopped in your tracks when you registered someone had taken your usual spot, your eyes staring holes into the back of the guys head. It wasn’t even like you were upset, you couldn’t claim a public table but something about him felt familiar.
His long dark hair tied up in a bun while he drank his drink seemingly waiting on another to join him if the drink waiting on the other side of the table was anything to go by.
“Hey come on, I see a table over there.” Your attention was brought back to Tsumiki who was tugging on your wrist and pointing to a table in the corner.
You could tell she was rushing you to the table since the cafe was starting to fill up so you let her drag you over and when you sat down your original table, along with the familiar man, was out of sight and you felt like you could breathe a sigh of relief.
But still you were on the edge of your seat. You were slow to pull out your laptop and by the time you did Tsumiki had already had hers open and was typing away.
It wasn’t until you set your laptop on the table and opened it did she sense that something was off with you. She watched you for a moment and you could feel her staring at you intensely so you put your hands on the keys acting as if you were about to type.
But your mind was blank and your fingers wouldn’t move. You glanced at her for a split second before looking away when you saw her leaning forward with a raised eyebrow.
“Are you okay?” She had finally asked after a few moments of you just staring at your computer that wasn’t even turned on. You just nodded slowly like you were also trying to convince yourself you were fine. “Y/n seriously what’s up? You look exhausted.” There was a moment of silence before she reached across the table to place her hand on your arm. “Did you have that nightmare again?”
The nightmare.
The same one you’d been having every night for the last year.
It started out simple enough, you could honestly barely tell what was happening and you completely forgot about it by morning like any other dream.
But over time it had gotten worse and worse. It became clearer to you every night until it reached the point of feeling like it was a distant memory.
It was almost as if you could see it happening like it was just yesterday. Like you were dying in the arms of someone just a moment ago. You could almost feel their warmth wrapped around you as they held on.
You could almost hear the trembling of their voice even though when you had this nightmare you could never hear a sound. You couldn’t hear the words being spoken to you or even see the face of the person who shook while they held you close.
Your gaze must’ve gone hazy as you recalled the nightmare because in the next moment you felt her hand shaking your arm slightly with a worried whisper of your name.
You looked up at her again and put on the best smile you could, waving her off with a slight laugh.
“No no, just this project is gonna run me into the ground.” Which wasn’t entirely a lie. The professor was known to be harsh in his grading and you more often than not stayed up late working on his assignments.
“Professor Sukuna?” You nodded and she gave you a grimace before leaning back into her chair, retracting her hand. You were glad she seemed to believe your lie. “I’m so glad I didn’t get him. Not like Professor Nanami is any better.”
You laughed when she let out a dejected sigh. “At least he gives you a little breathing room. Professor Sukuna has been non-stop assignments and projects.” You finally turned on your computer ready to move past the weird morning.
Just as you were about to start typing Tsumikis phone started vibrating with an incoming call. “Oh I gotta take this it’s Megumi. I’ll be back.” You nodded with a smile and told her to tell him you said hello.
Left alone, you finally started on your assignment and let everything else fall to the background. You needed a good grade on this, if you got one more bad grade in Professor Sukunas class…you shuddered just thinking about the malicious glare you had received more than you’d like to admit.
Just as you went to type something your hand stopped. A chill ran up your spine, an oddly familiar sensation like someone running their fingers lightly down your back.
You felt like your heart all of a sudden dropped or sped up to an ungodly speed that you felt like it was about to give out.
You realized belatedly that your hands were shaking. Out of the corner of your eye you saw someone outside the window walking by you. You saw the flash of white hair but it was enough to make you stop breathing.
You didn’t turn your head, you didn’t want to. You were scared all of a sudden. You felt your heart squeeze painfully in your chest at the lack of oxygen.
A whisper of pain slid up your side and the familiarity of the feeling had you wanting to curl in a ball and cry and you didn’t know why.
You felt like you might pass out and you probably would’ve had Tsumiki not come back with a smile on her face, unaware of your current state.
“Sorry Megumi was asking me about-“ her question cut short and finally your body started moving again. Your eyes looked over to her in question, wondering why she stopped talking. “Y/n..what happened? Why are you crying?”
What?
Your hand that was previously stuck over your keyboard shaking, reached up to run a delicate finger across your cheek.
You pulled your hand away to see your friend was right. You were crying.
You went to open your mouth to reply, to tell her you were fine- that you didn’t know why you were crying when a voice across the cafe stopped you dead in your tracks.
“Suguru!” An eerily familiar voice sung out and the words you were about to say stuck in your throat and it genuinely felt like this time you couldn’t breathe.
“Satoru.” Another voice sighed and this time you felt the tears fall down your cheeks and watched as they clouded your vision. “You’re late.”
You couldn’t register anymore of the conversation. There was a ringing in your ears and your head felt like it was going to explode.
In front of you, you could see tsumikis mouth moving in what looked like her calling your name but you couldn’t hear and you couldn’t breathe. You couldn’t breathe.
Tsumiki grabbed onto your arm again and forced you to look at her. She said your name again and this time you could faintly hear it. She motioned for you to take a deep breathe and you did and followed when she motioned to breathe out.
She stayed like that for a few more moments until she could see you came back to her. “What just happened?” She asked, rubbing your arm soothingly.
“I-I don’t know.” You wiped at your eyes. “I feel like there’s something I should remember but can’t.”
She looked between you and your computer before shutting it closed and doing the same to hers. You looked at her in confusion when she started packing up. “Let’s go somewhere. Our projects aren’t due yet, let’s get out of here.”
You watched her as she stood and she turned to you expectantly so you followed suit and packed up your things.
She grabbed your hand as she dragged you to the front of the cafe towards the door. You couldn’t help but laugh softly, thankful she was there.
Just as you got to the front door dead silence seemed to fill the cafe and you stopped in your tracks.
You looked to your usual table where the man with the bun was sitting waiting for his friend. Now though the friend was there, staring at you.
His bright blue eyes widened in shock and the sunglasses he had in his grasp fell to the table with a clatter. There was no one else in the cafe in that moment.
His mouth opened like he was about to say something but all at once everything came crashing down on you.
His eyes.
You can almost recall seeing his eyes somewhere…everywhere.
Your mind felt like it was splitting open as thoughts-as memories filled your head the longer you stared at him.
Nothing to clear but enough for you to be sure you know him or you should know him somehow. Like you knew him in some other lifetime.
Some other lifetime…
Your mind whispered back his name to you, Satoru. It came so softly as if you had heard it a thousand times and associated it with some kind of warm feeling.
As if you’ve stared into those blue eyes so many times you’ve lost count.
Tsumiki tugged you out the door before you could think anymore and by the time you were just down the street turning the corner you saw him run out of the cafe, looking both ways frantically.
But your voice wouldn’t let you call out to him so you let your friend pull you away from him.
~
It wouldn’t be until weeks later that you would see him again. It wasn’t like you had been avoiding trying to find him but he never seemed to be at the cafe the same time as you.
And with you finishing your project for Professor Sukuna your visits to the cafe became less frequent
The memory of him was always on your mind as well as some underlying feeling that you couldn’t seem to reach. Like something was on the tip of your tongue but it was gone from your mind when you thought too hard about it.
So you stopped thinking too hard and just let his memory sit there while you went on with your life.
Today though was different. Today you did go to the cafe and this time alone. Tsumiki was out with her brother getting him ready for a school trip.
You were sat at your usual table that was vacant this time around. The whole cafe seemed to be vacant today with only you and one other older lady sitting at the far end.
You were just finishing up some homework you had for another class, your laptop open and a pen and paper next to you as you jotted down notes.
The bell above the front door chimed but you paid it no mind, you were too focused on the notes to care who came in.
But then the chair in front of you scraped along the floor as someone pulled it out and sat down. Your hand froze mid sentence and your gaze stayed down as if scared to see who was in front of you, even though deep down you knew..
“Do you know how long I’ve been looking for you?” Finally you glanced up and were met with bright blue eyes. Your breathe hitched as those prodding memories from before started to slip back into focus.
It felt like your brain had been dunked into ice water and pulled every memory into the forefront of your mind. Like you finally broke the barrier that held all of these old feelings from you.
You can see a memory, although blurry it was there. His face was slightly blurred but you’d never mistake those beautiful eyes and the striking white hair.
You could barely hear him talk, the words sounding too far away but you understood enough to know he was trying to convince you to stay where you were.
“Wherever you go, that's where I’ll follow.” You could hear yourself telling him. The phrase alone causing another pang of hurt to course through you.
He’d told you those words before when you were teenagers and you were about to go on a mission alone.
He’d never let you go alone and in turn you never let him go alone.
As more memories came to light the clearer they became. You could see the look on his face like he knew he wasn’t going to come out alive and he didn’t want to take you down with him.
You could almost feel the trace of his fingers down your jaw as he gazed at you almost like it was the last time.
You could see in your mind's eye now why your side hurt so much. It was because Sukuna had driven a hole through your side.
Sukuna
You could feel Satorus warmth wrap around you instantly. And finally finally you could see your nightmare clearly, you could finally see the person who was holding you while you died.
You could see the person who was trembling, you could feel as his tears fell onto your cheek, you could taste the metallic taste of your own blood and you could finally hear the words he spoke to you.
“This is why I told you not to come.” His voice trembled and you can almost feel yourself frown, not used to hearing him be so vulnerable. “I can’t lose you too. Please not you.”
You remember your bloodied hand coming up to caress his cheek. You didn’t respond, you couldn’t even if you wanted to. You just smiled at him and hoped your eyes conveyed all the love you held for him.
Then your eyes closed and you could feel his head drop down to your neck where he let a few quiet sobs go before he took a deep breathe and whispered against your skin. “Wherever you go, that's where I’ll follow. I promise.” Then he squeezed you tightly one more time then layed your body down.
He gave your forehead one last kiss before he went to fight knowing full and well he would be joining you in death soon enough.
So many memories. So many moments.
You watched as hundreds of shared kisses flitted through your mind. Thousands of hugs and gentle caresses.
You were never a firm believer on reincarnation but you know these memories you’ve lived these memories and there’s no denying that.
His touch brought you back, his cold hand softly cradling your cheek so he could wipe away the tears. He had a pained look in his eyes like he had waited for this moment for so long.
“Satoru-“
“Seven lifetimes.” He let out a small huff at the confusion that crossed your face. “That’s how long I’ve been trying to find you.”
“You-“ your words choked. He had waited for so long. Did he have these memories the whole time? Or was he like you and only had nightmares of when you were separated? “I’m sorry.”
He was quick to get to his feet and pull you into his arms while you cried. More and more memories came in slowly and it finally felt like you had found a missing puzzle piece to a forgotten puzzle.
“I promised I’d follow.” You nodded against his chest.
“Thank you.”
His arms wrapped tighter around you. You had a million questions but for now just being in his arms safe and sound again was all you needed.
~

to be loved is to be known | suna rintarou x reader
Tumblr media
you're in love with suna. you think suna's in love with someone else. he's not.
slight angst, happy endings, and miscommunications atsumu is sexy reader is gn wc: 1481
It is dusk and warm and just barely humid when you realize you don’t know Suna Rintarou at all.
You know that Suna likes chuupets and volleyball and his dingy digital camera with the cracked screen. His left eye twitches slightly when he lies, he always ties his right shoe before his left, and he keeps forgetting to buy pencil lead despite preferring mechanical pencils over traditional. He likes the rain. Can’t bite into ice cream. Wool scarves over fleece, seven followers on his private Twitter, and is always late because he likes feeding the stray cats in the alley next to the Family Mart with the good sausages.
What you didn’t know is that Suna Rintarou is in love. You find out from Kita Shinsuke, who tells Aran after practice, a conversation not meant for your ears but gracing them nonetheless as you stand before the entrance to the gymnasium. You feel a dryness in your throat and a sting in your eyes as Kita shares that Suna is not only in love but had confessed to someone. Maybe it’s your divine punishment for eavesdropping. Maybe it’s rotten luck. Because, coincidentally, and horribly so, you’ve been in love with Suna Rintarou ever since you met him.
So when Suna walks up from behind you, back from the vending machine, and asks you why you’re lingering outside and staring at Kita with that look on your face, you lie.
“I have a crush on Shinsuke.” You blurt out.
He blinks. Once. Twice. And stares.
The longer Suna stares at you under the grey, purplish-pinkish sky with his hands shoved into his pockets and his left eye twitching, you realize you don’t know him at all. Because Suna, in all his indifference and nonchalance, looks hurt. You see something flit beneath his eyes, but you’ve never been good at reading people. So you settle on the idea that it’s something less than betrayal but more than indifference, and you don’t know why your heart’s beating so fast and sinking, pitter pattering and twisting in your stomach.
You feel sick.
“You like Kita-san,” He says, and it comes out as a statement, not a question. He blinks a third time, and as the look in his eyes disappears as quickly as it came, you decide you much prefer the hurt or the discomfort or the something over the blank apathy that he’s looking you over with now. “You have a crush on Kita… Shinsuke.” He finishes, and you can’t hear the bitterness in his voice over the shrill of your heart.
You’ve always liked Suna’s eyes but tonight you like the pavement more, and as you stare a hole into the concrete beneath you, you ignore how your feet are fidgeting and your palms are sweaty and how Rintarou is hovering over you.
“Mhm,” You squeak, tearing your eyes from the asphalt with the cracks and an ugly pill-bug on the ground. As you look up to grey eyes and dark hair, you wish that loving Suna Rintarou was harder.
“I’m, uh, I’m going to tell Shinsuke tomorrow.” You say, Shinsuke’s name foreign on your tongue compared to the warmth and honey that Rintarou’s tastes like. I’m in love with you and this is a bad idea, you think. I like you, not Kita, is what you don’t say. Instead, and arguably worse, is the mention of Miya Atsumu’s name. “Atsumu gave me the confidence to confess!”
Suna pauses.
“Atsumu told you to?” He asks, and it’s the most bewildered you’ve heard him in a while.
A glance at his phone. Hands that emerge from his pockets. If you weren’t so preoccupied with the concrete you would have seen the twitch of his fingers and the tightening of his jaw as he opens Line. You nod dimly.
“Okay,” is what he says, and you feel your heart in your stomach again. You look up. “Okay.” He repeats again.
And maybe it’s the hurt that stings in your chest from Rintarou being so okay with you (hypothetically) being in love with Kita Shinsuke that pushes your eyes to water and your mouth to open.
“Is that it?” You ask.
A beat of silence. And then, a scoff.
“Yeah. Congratulations,” Suna says. “Good luck.”
As dusk turns to nightfall and what was a barely-humid night in July is now overwhelmingly warm and sickly and hot, Rintarou’s gaze is overbearing. And when your eyes start to swim and Suna’s gaze turns to confusion and then realization, you do the only thing you know how to do. You bolt.
An incessant string of dings. Your lip wobbles under your teeth as you pull out your phone from under your covers.

from: amazing perfect miya atsexy (21:22) SHUDDUP
You bolt, again, but this time it’s out of your bed, down a flight of stairs, and through your front door. You’re halfway down the street near the Family Mart with the Good Sausages™ when you barrell into someone who smells faintly of blackberries and Suna’s laundry detergent.
“Excuse me,” You blurt, scrambling away, until you feel a grip on your waist and a familiar shape behind you with a familiar smell and a familiar voice, and Ohmygod, you’re out of breath and close to frantic but Suna Rintarou is holding you steady by your waist, warm and tall and here.
“Rintar-”
“I like you.”
You feel it more than you hear it- Suna is muffled and quiet as he mumbles into the back of your shoulder, tall frame folded into you.
“Idiot.” He adds, and you don’t have to turn to know the tips of his ears are pink and his eyebrows are furrowed. “You’re an idiot.”
It’s twilight, and just-barely humid when you realize that Suna Rintarou knows you.
Suna knows that you ramble when you’re nervous. He knows that you like the rain and you don’t like humidity. You carry extra lead in your pencil pouch and you like volleyball and stray cats. You can bite into your ice cream. You color coordinate your bookshelves. You don’t have a crush on Kita Shinsuke.
You don’t know that Suna keeps his digital camera with the shitty cracks because you bought it for him from a shop in Akihabara. You don’t know that Suna leaves his packs of pencil lead at home because leaning over your desk in class and seeing that smile on your face is far more fun. You don’t know that he writes with extra pressure on his worksheets to crack his lead and ask for more.
You didn’t know that Suna Rintarou is in love with you.
So he grins into your shoulder and tells you.

Secret Notes and Misunderstandings - Sugawara Kōshi x Reader
Pairing: Sugawara Kōshi x Reader (can be read as any gender, no pronouns used) Genre: fluff Word Count: 3 420 Warnings: Use of y/n, Tanaka and Noya Summary: You receive secret notes from someone. If only they were from your crush Suga A/N: I’m not really happy with the style of this one…
Masterlist
Tumblr media
It had to be every schoolgirl’s dream, receiving cute notes written by a secret admirer, pushed into her locker every morning. And the notes were cute, they really were. Never creepy or offensive, just sweet.
It had started almost a month ago. One morning you had opened your locker, only to find a small note fluttering out. Not recognizing it, you had unfolded the paper that seemed to have been ripped from a Kanji exercise book. In an unfamiliar handwriting, using what seemed like a fine 0.3mm black ink pen, a few words had been scribbled down, making a smile pull at your lips.
“I’m too shy to tell you this in person, but your presentation on the United Nations yesterday was crazy good.”
You had folded the note back together, and placed it in your pencil case, where it made you smile every time you glanced at it.
“You’re in a good mood today,” Sugawara, your classmate, had grinned when he had passed you during lunch break on this way to the sink.
You had shrugged, your heart beating faster when you had realized that Suga had addressed you. The feeling that ran through your body at every interaction with him was so different from the feelings the note had sparked, so much better.
The notes had started that day, and there had not been one day of school since then, that there hadn’t been one shoved into your locker in the morning. Over time they had gotten more personal, leaving less and less doubt about the author’s attraction to you. He (and you knew it was a guy by the words he used), was never offensive or creepy, just plainly sweet, complimenting the hair clip you had worn the other day, or sometimes even admitting how he wished he would be brave enough to talk to you normally, without these notes.
And the more he revealed his own thoughts, his own insecurities and wishes, the more he revealed of his heart, the worse you felt. The notes were cute, sweet, and normally you would have been dying to know who went through all the effort just for your sake. Maybe you would have been trying to find out who it was and asked them out, just because you felt like after all the effort he had made, he deserved you take a risk too.
But no matter how much you wanted to feel excited and honoured by these notes, there was still Suga. Suga who was in the same class as you and your mysterious admirer, Suga who was working hard in every subject, who helped the other students when they struggled, who laughed loud and unashamedly in the breaks, who’s smile was warm like summer sun beams, even when it was only late February. So really it was Sugawara’s fault, you thought to yourself, that you couldn’t reciprocate the feelings these notes conveyed. If it weren’t for your stupid, stupid, unrequited crush on him, you’d have tried to get into contact with the author of these notes weeks ago. But your heart was hopelessly hung up on someone else, no matter how much you tried to convince yourself to let these feelings go.
So, when you stared down on what had to be the boldest note yet, you felt a little sick.
"I've been trying to work up the courage to ask you to sit with me for lunch for weeks now, but every time I think about getting up and asking you, I get so nervous that I can't even think properly anymore. Maybe I’ll ask you tomorrow. I want to make salmon onigiri, I know you like those. What do you think?"
The nervousness of the author as he had written these words and then pushed the note into your locker was basically seeping out of the paper into your hands, pleading you to be as nervous about him as he was about you. But instead, you knew he was just setting himself up for heartbreak. This had to stop. Now. You had allowed this boy to bring up his hopes for far too long now. You had to end this. Even if it would hurt him. Even when you would feel awful for breaking his heart.  But it was better to end this now than to have him work up the courage to face you and then tell it into his face.
Although he did deserve a gentle let down, he didn’t deserve to torture himself before it. So, after your last class, you ripped out a page of your notebook and grabbed one of your pens. During class, between paying attention to the teachers’ words and the way Suga was bouncing his leg under the table on the other side of the classroom, you had mentally prepared what you wanted to write.
“Dear friend, thank you very much for all the notes over the past weeks. I have enjoyed reading them, but I’m sorry to tell you that I can’t reciprocate your feelings. I already have someone I like, and it wouldn’t be fair to let you keep hoping I will return your feelings. In fact, I should have told you this a lot sooner, and I’m sorry for the pain I’m causing you now. Let this be the last exchange.”
You had been tempted to add words of reassurance or comfort, but you were worried they might make him hope against hope that you would eventually return his feelings. When the last class was over, you used a thin strip of washi-tape and stuck the note to your locker so it was blocking the little gap in the door. This way the note couldn’t possibly go unnoticed by whoever had sent you the others.
The next morning rolled around, and you were almost nervous, when you took off your shoes and placed them in the rack, going to your locker to grab your books for the day. The note you had stuck to its door the day prior was gone, and you already feared someone else might have removed it, but when you opened the locker, no new note came sailing out. You were almost a little disappointed. But you had asked him to stop writing, so you had gotte what you wanted. This was for the best. Let him be disappointed or maybe even a little heartbroken, and by next week he would have moved on.
When you entered the classroom, you found, much to your surprise, that yesterday’s note hadn’t been the last. Instead, someone had placed two wrapped onigiri on your table, and a note underneath. Up until now, the paper had always been torn neatly out of notebooks, the signs evenly paced and written with precision. This time, even though it was the by now familiar handwriting, the page seemed to have been ripped out in haste, the words smeared over the paper, smudging the ink.
“I already made these, and I thought you should have them. If you don’t want them, leave them on the desk during lunch break and I’ll take them back. This is my last note. Thanks for your honesty.”
You bit your lip, staring down at the paper. You could tell his hand had shaken when he had written this note. While nervousness had seeped out of the other notes, this one seemed to ooze pain. He’ll get over it, you thought to yourself, over me.
Quickly you crumbled the note in your hand, pushing the onigiris to the edge of the table, not intending to eat them. With a few steps you made your way to the paper basked, discarding the final note of your secret admirer. On your way back to your desk, your eyes skipped over to where Suga was sitting, as always when you got the chance.
He sat backsided on a chair, arms crossed over the backrest, chin propped on his lower arm. He had taken off his jacket, leaving him in the short sleeved, white button-up of the uniform. Warm spring sunlight flitted in through the window, catching in his silver hair and making it gleam like star light. He looked angelic, you thought to yourself. Even though Daichi was telling him something, and laughing at his side, Suga barely seemed to listen, his gaze absentmindedly directed into the distance. He looked pale, you realized, pale and tired. Hopefully he wouldn’t get sick in the last weeks of the school year.
Suddenly his gaze drew away from wherever he had stared of to, and directed itself to you instead. You felt like your heart almost stopped at the way his coffee brown eyes bore into you, and feeling your cheeks heat up, you lifted your hand to wave at him with a smile. Instead of returning the gesture, he only seemed to tense, before tearing his eyes away from you and sitting up, saying something to Daichi instead.
Confused at his unusual reaction, you walked back to your seat, sitting down. The onigiri in front of you seemed to mock you, and far more frequent than usually your gaze flickered over to Suga during the day. His mood didn’t seem to better though, and in fact it grew only grimmer when he caught you staring at him once.
You were not the only one who seemed to pick up on his unusual behaviour, because as the bell rang for lunch break, you overheard Daichi ask him if everything was okay. Suga only answered he was fine, even though he sounded upset and annoyed, but the rest of the conversation got drowned out by the voices of other students.
Like every day, you left the classroom at the beginning of lunchbreak to refill your bottle at the water fountain in the hallway. Today you made sure to take an extra few minutes; hopefully giving the author of the notes you had received enough time to retrieve the onigiri from your desk. And sure enough, by the time you returned to the classroom, they were gone.
The rest of the day went by without any other incidents, unless one counted Suga’s terrible mood. Even across the classroom it seemed to rub off on you. Originally you had wanted to pay closer attention to the other boys, trying to see if anyone’s behaviour differed from usually which might give them away as the author of the messages, but instead your focus was entirely on Suga and what you could do to cheer him up.
When the last class ended, and you still hadn’t thought of anything useful to say to Suga, you just opted for a wave and a smile, as you usually did, bidding him goodbye before heading off to your club. But unlike all the other days, he ignored you completely, leaving a bitter taste in your mouth and your heart heavy.
It was already growing dark outside when you hasted through the corridors of the school again. Your club had finished only a few minutes ago, when you had remembered there was a book you needed for homework, so you were on your way back to the lockers. You had almost reached them, when suddenly the voices of two students made you stop.
“He explicitly said not to get involved,” the one nagged.
“But have you seen him? Can you really just stand by and watch him suffer like that,” the other voice replied.
Carefully you snuck around the last corner, finding two boys standing in front of your locker. Even in the dim light you could make out the one’s buzzcut and the other’s unruly hair. They were both in the year below you, you realized, and members of the volleyball team, teammates of Suga’s. The one with the unruly hair was trying to push a piece of paper through the gap below the door into your locker.
You were about to ask them what they were up to. After all, neither of them couldn’t have been the one writing the notes you had received; that person was in your class. You knew that from the references to your classwork he had been making.
“You know, he’s gonna hate you when he finds out you got involved.”
“So what, let him hate me! As long as he gets his girl! (Y/n) just has to give him a second chance!”
“Who am I supposed to give a second chance,” you asked out loud, stepping out from behind the corner.
The two boys jumped in surprise as your presence, the one with the unruly hair, quickly hiding a piece of paper behind his back.
“Well, you see, the thing is our set-,” he started, immediately receiving a harsh nudge from his friend.
“And what were you trying to push into my locker,” you added. Usually you were not very intimidating, but being a year older than them had its perks: they had to respect you. Demanding, you held out your hand.
The boy with the blond streak in this dishevelled hair shot his friend a side glance before stepping forward and dropping the paper into your outstretched hand.
“Have you been the ones putting notes into my locker,” you asked.
“Yes, well, no. Maybe. Sometimes,” the boy with the buzzcut answered. Tanaka, you remembered.
“What is it now. Have you or have you not?”
“Sometimes,” the other one – Nuka? Nayo? Noya? Oh yes, Noya was his name – answered. “Sometimes we delivered them for our friend, when you had club late and there was the chance of you running into Su-“
He got interrupted by another shove between his ribs. He coughed.
Biting your lip, you twirled the paper between your fingers. You could find out who had sent you all these notes, you realized. You just had to ask now. Tanaka would probably be quiet, but Noya seemed eager to make you like whoever had sent them to deliver them. But did you want to know? Did you really want to go to class tomorrow, look at the person who had written these notes and pretend you didn’t know?
“Please,” Tanaka interrupted your thoughts. “Can’t you give our friend a chance? We know you like someone else, but you’ll forget about that guy in no time, I promise! Our friend is like- he’s the best guy there is really. He’s smart, and patient, and funny-”
“Charming, good-looking, athletic,” Noya continued. “A little chaotic sometimes maybe, but he has like the biggest heart-”
You shook your head. “Listen guys, Tanaka-kun, Noya-kun. I appreciate your effort and I know you just want to see your friend happy, but as I already wrote him: there is someone else I like, and it wouldn’t be right to let your friend hope that my feelings will change eventually. That’s just not fair.”
“But you should’ve seen him today during practice,” Noya continued. “He was not himself! He was devastated! And Suga’s ready to let you walk away because he respects you, but I- we think-”
“Wait, wait,” you lifted your hands in the air, signalling him to stop talking. Your heart was racing. “Say that again.”
“He respects you and-”
“No, you said his name,” you disagreed.
The boys exchanged glances.
“He’ll kill you,” Tanaka mumbled to Noya.
“Did you say Suga,” you asked.
Their silence was answer enough.
All this time you had wanted Suga to notice you and all this time it had been him who had sent you these notes? And then you had rejected him? Was that why he had been so pale today, why he hadn’t smiled at you today? Because you had rejected him, not even knowing who you had rejected? Your heart dropped and the floor felt like it was giving way beneath your feet. You had to fix that. Somehow you had to fix this stupid, stupid situation.
“Do you have a pen?”
Tanaka rummaged around in his pocket, before handing you a blunt pencil. You took it anyway. Unfolding the paper you had taken from Noya, you placed it against the closest locker, flipping it to its empty side.
“What’s Suga’s favourite onigiri filling,” you asked, glancing at Tanaka and Noya from over your shoulder.
“Salmon,” they answered at the same time without hesitation.
You furrowed your brows. “Are you sure?”
“We talked about it just the other day,” Tanaka assured you.
“He said, he likes them because you like them,” Noya added. You exhaled slowly, trying not to laugh. This sounded so much like something Suga would say.
Putting the pen down, you began writing.
“Noya and Tanaka ranted you out. Don’t be mad at them, I made them tell me. Let’s eat lunch together. I’ll make salmon onigiri, I know you like those. We can eat outside under the plum tree. The blossoms are your favourite, aren’t they?”
Quickly, before you could change your mind, you folded the paper, and pushed it into Suga’s locker, making the two boys exchange wide eyed glances.
“What did you write,” they asked excitedly as you returned to your locker to retrieve the book you had come here for.
“Are you giving him a second chance?”
“You’ll see,” you answered with a smile.
The next morning, Suga was already sitting in the classroom when you entered, like he did every morning. When he saw you sitting down behind your own desk, he quickly exchanged a few words with Daichi, before walking over.
Pink was dusting his cheeks, the colour almost matching that of the plum blossoms outside. He was nervous, you could tell, fiddling around with a piece of paper between his fingers. Watching him walk over, your own pulse spiked. Yesterday you had been filled with confidence when you had written the note, but today it all seemed unreal. That was until he dropped the small piece of paper on the desk in front of you, leaning against the table.
For a moment you looked up at him, his chocolate brown eyes nervous but also filled with warmth as he glanced down to you, then you reached for the paper. He had rolled it into a tight scroll, probably an act of nervosity while he had waited for you. For the first time the note didn’t contain any words, only a doodled Smilie. The smile on your face was instantaneous, and quickly you looked back up to Suga, who was full on blushing now.
“I know, I said I’d stop it with the notes, but…” he shrugged bashfully, making you laugh quietly.
“No, that’s okay,” you let him know.
“I do gotta ask though- not that I’m complaining, just curious – what changed your mind?”
He’s still smiling, but you could hear the insecurity in his voice as well.
Inhaling deeply, you settled for the truth. “Turned out the guy I rejected was actually the guy I was rejecting him for.”
Suga just furrowed his brows in confusion.
“What I mean is,” you shuffled in your seat a little, wondering if the words would come any easier if you sat differently or if Suga weren’t nailing you to the chair with the intensity with which he was considering you now. “You’re the guy I was talking about in that note, the person I like. I didn’t know you were also the person sending me these notes.”
Finally, the last bit of hesitation seemed to melt away from Suga. “Lucky then, that I like you, too,” he teased, making your heart stutter and his cheeks tint an even deeper pink. “Sooo, are we eating lunch together?"
You nodded. “I made onigiri, like promised. Is salmon really your favourite filling?”
Suga laughed. “Yeah, it is. Always has been, since I was little.”
He was about to say something else, but was interrupted by the teacher, calling the beginning of the class.
Quickly he pushed away from your desk, winking at you mischievously. This Suga was so very different from the disappointed, heartbroken Suga from yesterday. You knew exactly which one you preferred. He turned around and hurried back to his desk, but not before dropping another note to your table, this one folded several times.
As the teacher began the class, you quickly unfolded the paper under your desk, reading the few words Suga had written down. This time they were a lot neater than the note he had left with the rejected onigiri the day prior.
“I mean it. I really like you too.”
And underneath he had drawn a tiny, almost hesitant doodle of a heart.

Think of me once in a while
John ‘Soap’ Mactavish
Warning: literally angst. I have no excuse I had an urge to write something sad so now you all suffer with me.
Summary: you sacrifice yourself for Johnny.
Word count: 1.3K
Tumblr media
The violins started slowly, one by one joining the next until it was an overwhelmingly devastating sound.
He liked to think you would’ve liked it had it not been so sad. You always did like slower songs, if the orchestra he took you to years ago was anything to go by.
You were in tears by the end and he never understood how something without words could have such a drastic impact.
He understood now though.
He understood as he stared blankly at your coffin being lowered into the ground. The few people there were making there stops to put a rose down on the casket as it was being lowered and he couldn’t help but think how you deserved more.
Your line of work wouldn’t allow you to have a public funeral, not that it would’ve mattered. There was no one else beside the 141 in your life and they were all there watching.
But still…he couldn’t help but think how you deserved something bigger, something that you would be recognized for. Something that he could say a speech on how you saved many lives..how you saved His life.
He clenched his fist. He wanted to hate you for this. He wanted to hate you for taking the hit for him, for laying your life down for him. All because, in your words, the team needed him more than you.
God if you were stood next to him he’d be shaking you, calling you an idiot and to never do it again. He’d tell you to never lose your life for his. Hed-
Johnny stopped. His heart breaking into a thousand pieces. He’d cry.., he’d hold you just to feel you alive against him and maybe just maybe he’d get the chance to finally tell you he’d loved you and maybe you would’ve let him kiss you.
But he can’t now.
“Johnny.” Ghost laid a hand on his shoulder. He could tell he was trying to be gentle but he didn’t know if ghost had a gentle bone in his body. “They’re gonna start with the dirt soon..”
Johnny nodded in a daze. “Johnny.” Simon said again quietly. “The rose.”
He looked down to his clenched fists and saw what he meant. The rose, the same ones everyone had thrown onto your casket, was still clutched tightly in his hand.
Simon gave him a nudge forward and he took reluctant steps, his gaze falling onto his captain who wore a mask of indifference. Though if he looked close enough he could see the cracks.
The last time he saw you before you were laying in his arms came flooding to the forefront of his mind each step closer to the hole in the ground.
~
You were standing at a booth, pretending to look at some greeting cards when he appeared on the other side.
He picked up one of them but wasn’t paying attention to it. He was trying to discreetly get your attention but you wouldn’t look at him.
“Y/n, you seein’ anythin’?” Simon asked and Johnny watched as your gaze finally flitted up to meet his for a second before scanning the crowd.
“Targets getting ready to move.” You muttered softly and moved away. Johnny watched you get further from him and his heart ached.
He was angry, he had been angry for what felt like months since Makarov escaped. Sometimes his anger blinded him but he tried his best to never let it be directed at you.
Even if it had you had seen his anger a good amount of times, you’d been on the shit end of the stick more times then he’d like to admit but you never batted an eye. Never shut him out when he snapped at you, so why now?
You almost seemed distracted. Floating through the task at hand.
Johnny wanted to reach for you, wanted you to tell him what was wrong but when he took a step forward Prices voice cut through. “Soap get a move on.”
“Ey.” He forced himself to look away and move on. He wished now he would’ve taken the second to brush your hand, something small but comforting.
If he’d known it would be the last time he saw you breathing he would’ve told you to stay where you were. To not move.
But he couldn’t turn back time.
The dreaded moments that came after were ones he wished he could bury so deep they never resurfaced.
One minute he was calling orders at price so they could diffuse the bomb then next Makarov had a gun pointed to the side of his head.
His life flashed before his eyes. All those moments with you, the moments he should’ve said something, should’ve kissed you, held you, loved you. All gone.
“No!” Your voice cut through the fog. His eyes widened in shock when you seemingly came out of nowhere and managed to direct the gun to you the second Makarov pulled the trigger. Shooting you in the chest.
Johnnys eyes stared at you in shock as you looked at him with the same expression, blood already coating your clothes.
He caught you the moment you fell to the ground. The sounds of gun fire as price shot at Makarov falling on deaf ears. All that mattered was you.
“What-“ Johnny choked, hand fumbling with the straps of your gear so he could get a better angle of the wound. So he could put pressure on it. “What tha hell did you do.” He gritted at frustrated when your gear wouldn’t move.
“It couldn’t be you.” You told him. You had the audacity to look relieved about what you did. Like you accomplished your own goal. “They need you more.”
“What?!” He shook his head. “What the hell are ya’..?” Johnnys sentence trailed off. The distance, you being distracted, It all made sense. He recalled then the time he walked in on a heated conversation between you and Price. He thought he heard his name once or twice but the moment you saw him your whole demeanor changed and you were all smiles as you ushered him out.
You knew you were going to do this. You knew one day you’d give your life up for his. “Why…?” But you couldn’t talk anymore. Your body growing colder in his hold. All you could manage to do was grip onto his hand and nod as if that would explain everything.
The rest was a blur. Makarov got away but Johnny sat there with you in his arms until Simon came up, checking your pulse then shaking his head in Prices direction.
You were gone.
~
Johnny kept his eyes on Price until the very last moment when he dropped the rose down. Watching it as it joined the rest of the bouquet.
He glanced up. The violins had stopped playing. He realized it was because the funeral they were there for came to a close and they were all leaving and he was left feeling emptier.
“I know you won’t like the answer.” Price said with a sigh as he came to stand next to him. “But I think you want to know.”
“You knew.” He muttered.
Price nodded. “I knew she cared for you.” Johnny scoffed.
“She knew from the beginning this is how she wanted to go out.” Price continued. “She decided that on her own. Don’t waste what she gave you.”
Johnny titled his head toward the sky to try and stop the tears. Price patted his shoulder before he walked away, taking Gaz with him.
Simon watched further away so Johnny could have a moment.
There was so much Johnny wanted to say. So much he wanted to yell. But knowing he wouldn’t ever be able to come back to this spot to see you again, he said the only thing he hoped would give him closure.
“I love you.”

Lullaby
Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley x Reader
Warning: literally just so much fluff, you’re welcome. He is already unmasked here.
Summary: Simon loves when you sing to him.
Word count: 1.1K
This was requested by @offbrandmeowmix I hope I did you request justice🫶🏻
Tumblr media
To say Simon was tired was an understatement. He was exhausted, sore and overall just felt like collapsing where he stood.
All he had on his mind as he unlocked the door to his apartment was his bed. All he wanted to do was fall onto it and go to sleep and he was certain there was nothing in the world that could deter him from doing exactly that.
He was so confident in that up until the moment he closed the door behind him. He rested against it for another moment trying to gain courage to move forward but then stopped all together when he heard it.
Your sweet voice drifting through the usually quiet apartment. His mind that was once made up on his bed was now set on seeing you.
From the sounds of it you were practicing a song on the piano he had. A piano he had bought solely so you would sing more in his apartment, so you could fill the silence that used to consume him.
Not that he would ever admit it.
He walked up behind you as quietly as possible to not startle you, lest you stop playing. He underestimated every time how lost you got while singing and you didn’t hear a thing.
He watched you as you played through the song, eyes closed as you swayed in your seat softly. His eyes glanced over the little piano that wasn’t at all what you deserved.
One day, he’d buy you a grand piano. He’d put it in the living room of the house the both of you would live in. He could imagine it now, your voice floating through the house while your future kids watched in astonishment.
He watched you in utter adoration, any pain or soreness he had been feeling was long gone the longer he gazed at you.
Now it was his turn to get so lost in your singing that he didn’t notice when you turned to him. He only realized when he heard you gasp and bring a hand to your heart.
“Simon!” You let out a deep breathe. “When did you get home I wasn’t expecting you-?”
The moment your eyes connected with his he dropped his bag and kneeled to the ground. His arms wrapped around your waist as his head fell to your lap and his body immediately relaxed into you.
Your hands quickly came up to run through his hair and he let out a sigh of content. “Rough day?” You asked him softly but he only hummed in response.
His eyes closed while he listened to you hum softly. Something you did often. He learned very quickly that there was hardly ever a moment that you were quiet, you were always singing or humming in some way.
At first he thought it was a bit much. He’d come home and depending on your mood you could either be singing softly to yourself or sometimes he’d be greeted by you singing to him while you ran to him to wrap your arms around him.
He used to think he’d grow sick of it and at first looked forward to the days you’d go home but it immediately changed when he’d come home to cold dark silence.
He thrived on the days when he’d come home and you’d surprise him by being there, the lights on as you continued on with whatever you had been doing. It always lifted a weight off him when he heard you.
“Why don’t we go lay down?” You asked him softly, nails still scratching his head just right. He grunted in disapproval. “Come on, I know this isn’t comfortable for you.”
“I’m comfortable wherever you are.” He muttered against you and you laughed. The sound alone enough to lull him to sleep. He would spend the rest of his days making you laugh, just to hear the sweet sound everyday.
When you noticed the way his breathe started to grow shallower as he fell asleep you nudged him. As much as you hated waking him up, you knew he wouldn’t appreciate the crick in his neck when he woke up next.
“Alright, c’mon big guy.” You tried with all your strength to pull him to his feet but he was very good at dragging you down with him. “Simon.” You laughed and he let out a reluctant sigh before standing to his feet and letting you drag him to the bedroom.
“Long mission.” He grumbled to you while you pulled off his shirt and let him crawl into bed. You joined him quickly and pulled the blanket closer while he maneuvered so he was laying between your legs, his head on your stomach while his arms wrapped themselves back around your waist. “Sing to me?”
You smiled, fingers carding through his hair again. He never asked for you to sing to him so you knew he must be tired.
The comforting silence was drowned out by your soft voice singing a lullaby. Instantly he felt the tendrils of sleep wrapping around him like a warm hug.
As silly as it was, the lullaby you were singing to him was ‘you are my sunshine.’ Something he may have felt embarrassed about had it not soothed him to sleep so easily.
He was sure if any of his friends saw the display, he’d never hear the end of it but he couldn’t find it in him to care. Not when your hands were still playing with his hair softly and your voice filled his chest with a warmth he had never felt until he met you.
When you finished he took in a deep breathe and asked a question that had been on his mind the moment he realized he hated coming home to an empty apartment.
“Move in with me?” Your fingers stopped and he tightened his hold just a little in anticipation. He wondered if he should take it back say he was kidding, tell you to forget about it. He almost did but then your fingers started up again.
“Okay.” You whispered, leaning down to press a soft kiss to his head.
Simon never thought he’d like to be greeted by someone singing to him but he could not picture the rest of his life any other way.
More specifically, he could not picture his life without you singing to him.
~~
Short and sweet I hope yall enjoyed:)

Beg
Scenario: Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, Alex Keller, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick
Summary: the thought of being able to bring a strong man to his knees and beg for you. (Not in the good way. This will hurt.)
Truthfully I was not gonna post part one to this yet but I feel I should give you guys something since it’s been so long.
There will be more the one part to this series because unlike the ‘you came? You called.’ Series this one will only have three characters for each part only because some of them got a little lengthy.
~~
Simon ‘ghost’ Riley
Warning: fighting, established relationship. Simon’s bad at feelings.
You’d been at it for what felt like hours and simon was getting fed up.
This was your fifth fight in just two weeks and he couldn’t even remember what this one was about all he knew was he said some hurtful things to you.
Some things he wished with every fibre of his being that he could take back. Some things he could see cut deeply into old wounds you were working on healing.
Some things so harsh you were now moving around the shared apartment at lightening speed, packing your bag.
But being the idiot he was he never could show the emotions he wanted to show you. So it was making you angrier to see he didn’t seem as affected as you even though he was, if not more.
“What do you need me to do to prove I’m sorry?” He was calm. Calmer then you were that was for sure. Tears were still running down your cheeks as you threw all your clothes onto the bed to start packing. “What do I need to do to prove I love you?”
“Nothing Simon.” You grumbled shoving past him. He was just watching you. Watching you completely break down in front of him and asking you How to fix his mistake. “You should know how to fix your mistakes.”
“What do you want me to do y/n?!” Finally he was getting angry.
You threw a shirt you were holding down on the bed and turned to him sharply. “I just don’t want to feel so meaningless to you!” You shouted at him and his eyes widened in shock.
“Meaningless? Is that how I make you feel?” You turned away from him when he took a few steps closer. When he went to grab your wrist you yanked yourself free and went back to packing and he was starting to grow desperate. “I never meant to.” He trailed trying to get you to look at him. “What do you need me to do? Do you want me to beg for you? I will if that’s what it takes.”
You scoffed. “I don’t need you to beg.” You hissed, shoving another shirt into your bag. “I just wish I knew how to read you. How to tell if you actually love me or even care for me.” Your movements started to slow down as the emotions finally wore you down.
You felt him caustiously take one of your hands in his and you didn’t fight him this time. “I love you more than words can explain.” He all but whispered and you felt a slight shift on your hand, making you turn to see what he was doing.
Your eyes widened. “Simon-“
There he was, kneeling in front of you. His eyes pleading with yours as he slipped his mask off all while holding your hand. “Please don’t go. I know I’m an idiot and I don’t deserve you but please..don’t leave me. I worship the ground you walk on. My day starts with you and ends with you and I’d rather die than have that ever change.”
Alex Keller
Warning: angst..so much angst. I wanna say I feel bad but this was honestly the first one I wrote and I regret nothing
It was his fault.
He let his guard down to early, he let his shoulders loose when he saw your carefree smile making its way to him from across the street.
By all accounts it should have been clear. His team cleared the streets and buildings on his side while yours did the same on the other. Neither he or you were aware the team in the building ahead had accidentally left a straggler.
His mouth opened to call your name when the shot pierced the air and suddenly he felt his world stop entirely when he saw you fall to the ground.
He couldn’t hear anything over the roar in his ears and the unmistakable sound of his voice shouting your name in panic before he was tackled to the ground by another soldier.
“Y/n!” He called again struggling against the man holding him down who kept yelling sniper in his ear but he didn’t care. He somehow managed to push off the soldier and crawl to where you were sprawled on the ground wheezing for breathe.
“Hey hey, I’m here.” He soothed immediately as he got to you. His hands coming to smooth across your face while you looked at him with something he recognized to be acceptance. “No dont do that. I need you to breathe. I need you to fight, if not for you for me.” He was still laying on the ground so he was basically nose to nose.
He was waiting for it to be clear so he could address your wounds better. “A-Alex.” Your voice was hoarse and it hurt him to see how much the one word hurt you.
Faintly in the background he could hear someone yell clear and faster then even he could comprehend he got to his knees so he could press on your wound with as much strength as he could muster.
You winced and clutched onto his arm tightly. “I know it hurts but I need you to stay with me okay?” He wiped his cheek against the rough fabric of his shirt to try and stop the tears from falling before you saw them. “There’s something I need to tell you when this is over remember?”
You nodded softly at him but your grip on his arm was getting lighter and he could tell the pain was starting to fade when he saw the light in your eyes start to fade. “Stay with me. Please..I’m begging you.” His voice cracked before he looked up to call for a medic.
“Alex..” you whispered when more gunshots rang through the sky, closer to where the two of you were and Alex was quick to stand and wrap his arms under your armpits to drag you off the street and closer to cover.
When he went to move back to his original position on his knees, you grabbed his hand weakly. “Stop.” You whispered and he stared at you for a moment before he fell to the ground in defeat.
You were still in his arms, one of his legs on each side of you while your head rested on his lap and his fingers ran soothing patterns on your cheek. One of your hands was holding loosely onto his wrist while the other pressed weakly onto your own wound if only to appease Alex.
“Tell me..” you whispered to him quietly but he only ran his fingers through your hair and shook his head. “Alex.” You cried, “please.”
“I’ll tell you when you’re better.” He tried to smile but it fell as soon as it reached his face. He waited for some kind of miracle, for the medics to reach you in time, for something!
But then he felt your hand lose grip on his wrist and fall. “Y/n?” He looked down at you. Your eyes had gone dull, your chest was no longer rising and falling in shallow breathes. He pressed his fingers to your neck, trying to find a pulse but there was none. You were gone.
He was supposed to tell you today. He was going to confess to you today. After years of holding onto it, today was the day. But now as you lay in his arms unmoving his own heart no longer beating, he knew he was to late.
“Please don’t take her from me.” He begged, his face held up to the sky hoping anyone would answer and wake him up from this nightmare but minutes passed and he was still there holding you.
Five minutes later he could hear footsteps approaching but he couldn’t bring himself to care if it was the enemy. But as they rounded the corner he was met with familiar faces.
“Alex..” Farahs voice was soft but it might as well have been a bomb going off in the silence in his head.
He looked up at them, his eyes far away while they took in the scene. “She’s dead.” He announced. His words tasting sour on his tongue as price turned to speak into his comms and the words KIA floated towards him.
Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick
Warning: hurt, fighting, angst…
“Are you out of your mind?!”
You sighed as Gaz burst into your room, his eyebrows pinched in annoyance and his chest heaving like he ran all the way to your room. Which honestly didn’t sound to far off track.
“Hello to you too Gaz.” You say while adding another folded shirt to your pile of clothes you were packing. “Something I can help you with?”
“Don’t give me that.” The door clicked shut behind him and then the sound of his boots hitting to floor heavily as he took a few steps towards you. “You can’t go on this mission.”
“Not like I have a choice in the matter.” You muttered, back still turned to him.
“Y/n!” His voice raised slightly, making you halt your movements. “This is a suicide mission, please back out.” Your eyes fell to your bed when you heard the crack in his voice.
“I don’t recall you having any say in this Kyle. Last I heard I take instructions from Captain price.” You sighed again and glanced at him from over your shoulder. “I’m not backing out.”
He let out a breathe, his heart feeling like it was going to beat out of his chest. He couldn’t for the life of him understand why you were being so cold to him right now. “Then let me come with you.”
You zipped up your bag and pushed it to the side so you could sit down. “It’s not up to me.” You moved past him to grab your shoes that were by the door before going back to your bed.
“Then I’ll go talk to him again. Convince him.” At this you paused and finally, finally Made eye contact with him.
“What are you talking about Kyle?” Your eyes narrowed. “Did you go to the Captain about this already?”
His silence was all you needed and you shook your head as you broke eye contact, muttering a soft ‘unbelievable’ under your breathe.
He stared down at you as you unlaced your shoes. You were leaving soon and he didn’t know why you were spending these last moments being cold to him.
It didn’t make sense to him, you guys were fine this morning. It was like..suddenly his mind came to a screeching hault. It was like you knew this mission could very well be your last and you were trying to push him away before you left so you could spare his feelings.
That was the only explanation that made sense to him. “Why are you being like this?” You didn’t respond to him just put your shoe on. “You’re doing this to protect me aren’t you? You’re trying to push me away because you know you could die.”
His words had you pausing as you started tightening the laces. You couldn’t meet his gaze and it only solidified his theory.
After a moment you resumed your movements and finished lacing up one shoe just to move on to the next.
Gaz watched you for a second longer before moving so he was standing just an inch in front of you, then, when you wouldn’t look at him, he fell to his knees.
His hands rested on your knees as he forced you to look him in the eye. “Please Y/n. Don’t go on this mission.”
He watched the tears start to build in your eyes while you were forced to stop lacing up your shoes. He could feel his own tears threaten to fall when he saw your facade crumble.
He rested his chin on one knee as he looked up at you, pleadingly. “Please Y/n.” He whispered and one of your hands came to stroke his cheek.
“Kyle.” You whispered back and his name alone had his eyes closing, his tears falling because he knew with just the one word that he couldn’t convince you to stay. “I have to.”

Word count: 2.6k
This is Johnnys part two to his ‘You came? You called.’ Series.
His part one is here
Can’t tell if I hate this or not so hopefully yall like it🫶🏻
Tumblr media
6 months.
6 months was how long it took before you introduced Johnny to your boyfriend. He wasn't sure if it was because he was deployed or because you were nervous about how he’d react to him
Because it was safe to say Johnny hated your boyfriend. It took him 6 months to meet him and less than 6 seconds to decide he hated him.
He didn’t like the way your boyfriend looked at you, or talked to and about you. He didn’t like the way your boyfriend's eyes would roam to other women when you weren’t looking. But he especially hated the way you smiled when you talked about him.
He hated the way your eyes would light up whenever his name left your lips. He hated the way you would blush when he would give you any sort of attention after ignoring you the whole night.
God if only you knew, Johnny would spend his days making you blush any chance he got. He’d give you so much attention you’d never have to beg him for a simple kiss on the cheek.
You’d never even worry about his attention being anywhere else but you because where else would they be if not you? His attention was already always on you, it had been since you two became best friends.
He tried to like your boyfriend he really did, or at least he wanted to be okay with him. Because your happiness topped anything he was feeling in the moment. He tried his hardest, he put on his best smile and was ready to lose you until he saw the cocky smirk your boyfriend had on his face when they made eye contact for the first time.
Johnny shook his hand stiffly as the other man sized him up. It was like he knew he had something that Johnny could only ever dream of having, your love. And what’s worse was the asshole never deserved it.
But he bit his tongue. Kept his opinions to himself, kept the harsh comments he had ready at bay.
Oh but how he wished he could hit your boyfriend, just once. One time would suffice. One time and he’d have it out of his system, one time to let him wipe the smug smile off his face.
That was all before your phone call though.
Now he was sat on his couch, knee bouncing anxiously as he tried to calm himself down. It was nearing the end of the second week of you staying with him and currently you were fast asleep in his bed, tears still staining your cheeks.
You were glad you left and he knew that but he also knew it was one of your longest relationships and when you loved someone you loved them with your whole heart.
Not only had he abused that but he tore it to shreds when he even suggested the idea of you cheating.
It made Johnny clench his jaw even tighter when he recalled the words. How would he think you were even capable of cheating when your whole world was him?
He couldn’t even fathom the possibility of ever laying a hand on you and it just made his body shake in anger the more he thought about it.
Although he didn’t really understand where this wave of anger came from, the moment his eyes landed on his phone he knew.
His phone was open on the coffee table in front of him, showing the text conversation between him and Price. His captain had just made him aware he was needed back at base in the next few days.
He never replied to it because instantly his mind was taken over with what he was going to do for you. The stress of trying to find a solution that would make you happy and keep you safe gave way to the thoughts of why you were hurting in the first place.
Then down the rabbit hole he went.
He stared long and hard at the message before he ultimately reached over and turned off his phone, leaving it there when he got up to go check on you.
You were still fast asleep when he reached his room and he took a moment to admire the scene in front of him. A scene he was sure he’d never have the pleasure of seeing everyday.
A scene of you wrapped up in his blankets, head resting on his pillows, on his bed. He couldn’t help the flutter he felt in his chest when he noticed you were also in one of his shirts.
His arms were crossed as he leaned against his door frame just taking you in when he noticed your phone buzzing and you rolled over to ignore it. He wasn’t trying to be nosy but he couldn’t help it when he caught a glimpse of your exes name from where he was.
Instantly he pushed himself off the doorframe and came closer. He stared down at your phone for a few seconds before declining the call and it was then he noticed the multiple missed calls and texts he had left you.
“Bloody Christ.” Johnny muttered to himself in distaste. How could the man not grab a hint?
“Johnny?” Immediately his attention was back on you. You, who turned to see who was bothering you while rubbing the sleep from your eyes. “Is everything okay?”
“Course Bonnie.” He soothed as he sat down on the edge of the bed next to you while his hand came up to run through your hair as you laid your head back down completely content. “Didn’t mean to wake you.”
“‘S fine.” You watched him, noticing the way he wouldn’t meet your gaze.
“I need to talk to you bout something.” He said softly while he moved his hand to hold one of yours. “Price called me in early, I have to go back to base.”
You shifted so you could see him better and he could see the worry starting to creep inside you. “You need me to leave?”
“What? No. No Bonnie, that's not what I’m gettin at.” He shook his head and held your hand tighter. “I want you..I want you to come with me.”
“Johnny-“
“There’s some apartments near the base that we can rent. You’ll have the space all to yourself for the most part when I’m away on missions, but this way I’ll be closer to you and I’ll come home to you every chance I get.” He could see the way your eyes widened at his words before his words even registered to him.
‘I’ll come home to you.’
Suddenly he was pulling himself away from you, “or if you want to stay here, you’re more than welcome to stay in my apartment but-“ you cut him off as you sat up quickly to grab his hand in yours again and it made him pause to take a breathe. “But if you stay here I can’t protect you like I want to. If you come with me, you’ll be far from him.”
He studied you, waiting for your reaction but all you did was play with his fingers. He felt like the silence was going to consume him until finally you met his gaze again.
“Okay.” You nodded, “when do we leave?”
The amount of relief that flooded his veins was unparalleled. He squeezed your hand again, “Few days.” And just like that you were getting up from the bed to go pack the little things you had taken with you.
~~
6 months.
6 months was all it took for you to uproot your life and move with Johnny closer to base.
6 months was all it took for you and him to settle into this new normal. You both agreed on just renting a one bedroom apartment considering he would be gone most of the time.
You had even Invested in one of those pull out couches so he could sleep on that whenever he would come home.
But you never put up a fight when he one day he would start coming home to you and crash into the same bed as you.
You never put up a fight when he’d unconsciously, (or consciously. You weren’t sure anymore) wrap an arm around you and pull you as close to him as he could before falling asleep.
6 months was all it took for you and Johnny to fall into a normal schedule. Even when he was gone for days or weeks at a time whenever he came home it was like nothing changed.
You’d have the apartment cleaned and have dinner ready for him. It all felt so normal for the both of you.
He’d always greet you with a smile and a kiss on the head or if he had an extra strenuous mission he’d hug you and hold you for what would feel like hours.
The first few times he’d come home after a long time away you were always worried there would be some awkward tension there, especially when you started putting more and more of your things out.
He never complained. He loved that you made the small space feel like home and he wouldn’t admit that he loved coming home to a place that made him feel like he was surrounded by you.
6 months was all it took for you to forget about your ex boyfriend.
It was such an easy thing to do when Johnny had now surrounded your every thought. Any which way you turned you were reminded of the fact that your best friend cared for you.
Any time he could sense you were starting to fall back into bad memories he’d be right next to you giving you a new happy memory to cloud the old one.
Anytime he knew he’d be away for longer than a few days he would use every chance he got to call you or text you, anything just to check on you and make sure you were okay.
You were sure you hadn’t thought of your ex way before 6 months because how could you? It was so easy to forget him when you had Johnny. Between the late night cuddles, the forehead kisses he had gotten so used to giving you and the more soft intimate moments of just being in his presence.
Moments like this, with his hand around your waist and the other grasping your hand softly while he swayed to some song he put on in the background.
All this happening because of a comment you made, during dinner, about never having danced with someone before. Something Johnny couldn’t let just go unnoticed.
Next thing you knew he was on his feet, hand extended to you. You laughed him off at first but he made a grab motion before he just ultimately grabbed your hand and yanked you up.
The both of you already danced through a few songs while you talked about things you would normally talk about during dinner but dinner was on the table long forgotten for this moment.
He told you all about his task force and about Ghost who he said he hoped you could meet one day along with Gaz and price.
“They already know all about ya.” He had said it so cheekily with a smug grin on his face that you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Talk about me a lot do you Johnny?”
He nodded immediately and tightened his hold, “everyday.” Your eyes widened at his response and you decided to leave it there while he swayed you through the next few songs.
He spun you around once before pulling you back into him and you smiled brightly at him before realizing how long you had been doing this.
“Johnny you don’t have to do this anymore, I think I got the hang of it after the first few songs.” You laughed at him softly, your cheeks turning a soft shade of pink when he looked down at you with a fond smile on his face.
“Course I do.” He grinned. “You been through enough recently, least I can do ‘s give you a night to remember.”
You shook your head in disbelief, your hand holding onto his tighter. “You’ve already been doing that since that night.” Your voice trailed off as you recalled when he had come to your rescue.
Johnny frowned when you wouldn’t meet his gaze and he moved the hand from your waist to grip your chin softly and have you look at him again. “And I’ll do it as long as I’m breathing.”
Your breathe caught in your throat when you saw the intense sincerity. “Johnny..”
“You know that don’t you?” His eyes searched yours, looking for something you weren’t sure what. “You know I’d do anythin for you?”
You nodded softly as you whispered a quiet, ‘I know.’ You moved the hand you had wrapped around his neck to cup his cheek, your thumb smoothing over his cheekbone.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breathe in. “What’re you thinking about?” You practically whispered and he opened his eyes again to look at you.
By now there was hardly any space left between the both of you and the hand he had holding your chin moved so he was also cupping your cheek. “Doesn't matter.”
“Matters to me. Please Johnny, what are you thinking about?” His eyes searched yours again before he seemed to find exactly what he was looking for and he moved forward slowly until his lips just barely brushed yours.
“How I don’t wan’ any o’ this to change.” He muttered against your lips. He loved the way he could see your gaze drop to his lips the second he did. “How I wan’ to have a life with you Bonnie.”
Your eyes met his again. “And how I really want ta kiss you.” You watched him swallow hard while he waited for your move.
“Then do it.” You whispered and it was all he needed to hear before he pulled you even closer and closed the gap.
His hand on your cheek moved up to tangle itself into your hair while the other moved down to your waist to pull you closer against him.
You couldn’t help the gasp of surprise by the intensity of his kiss, like he had been waiting to kiss you for as long as he could remember. Which he had.
When he kissed you it felt like everything was right with the world, like everything was as it should be now and you couldn’t help the way your hand moved to clutch onto his shirt for support.
He only pulled away when he felt your tremble against his hold and he was quickly scanning your face to make sure you were okay but you were already pulling him back down to you.
“I love you Johnny.” You muttered when you pulled away to breathe. The smile that broke out onto his face was a site you could get used to.
“Been waitin to hear those words for ages, lass.” Then he pulled you into a hug like he couldn’t believe this was actually happening. “I’ve loved you for as long as I can remember.”
You were smiling too as you ran your fingers through his hair while he hugged you.
6 months could feel like a lifetime when spent with the right person.
Because 6 months is all it took for you to come to terms with the fact that you were irrevocably in love with John Mactavish.
And you had been all along.
