Time for our monthly Mystery Skulls Animated update! The Vivi and Arthur plushie campaign has now concluded! The final totals are:

Arthur at 1347 plushies Vivi at 1332 plushies

A combined 2679 have been sold and are ready to be produced!

The plushies are expected to get shipped out May 19 so it won't be too long for them to reach all of you! Hey ya'll, time for the monthly Mystery Skulls Animated update, give or take a few days into the New Year! As mentioned in the previous update the holidays have made things a bit hard to work, but we've still had a number of shots animated and cleaned up throughout December largely involving the epilogue sequence. Meanwhile, Mysteryben has been tinkering away with a small side thing that needs to be ready in time for February.  The screenshot for this month is a small sampling from it.  Those of you that have been paying attention can probably imagine what it's for, but that's all we can really say on it for now.  Just keep an eye out for early February! Happy Halloween everyone! it's time for the October Mystery Skulls Animated monthly update! We've prepared a video for people that might not know about the Patreon updates, and while it's a bit redundant here, the second half contains unused footage from the Deadbeat plush campaign that I didn't have the room for!  It seemed adequately spooky to hold on to for Halloween!

Hoping to get back to the normal format for next month, but until then thank you for the continued support!

"Beware the Well of Shade, for the shadows run deep through its endless walls and twisting caverns" I've been messing around with this rig on and off for awhile, but I finally finished this little side project making a short scene in the style of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I've never been quite happy with how Starswirl the Bearded looked in the show when he finally appeared but, last year I happened upon a really cool fan design of Starswirl by the user Orin311 that I fell in love with. I decided to make a one view puppet rig this year directly based off their vector art as a surprise, complete with show style lip sync and a full walk cycle. One thing led to another in adding a background, a few illustrator texture brushes, multiple sound effects, re-purposing some old fire animation of mine and suddenly it became a whole completed scene. With such a cool wizard design, the choice for using Gandalf's voice to test the rig with was a no brainier. The background is based on the Well of Shade location in the Season 7 finale of MLP. I had a lot of fun making this and it was great practice for some future personal animation projects I wanna start next year! Credits for the character design and sound effects listed below

Hey ya'll, time for the Mystery Skulls Animated September update! For this month's update, we have some background layouts from one of our lovely freelancer artists Alldrawnup! The Kingsmen Mechanics location is getting plenty more love in this video, but we have some fun unique backgrounds we can't show right now since they go way too much into spoiler territory. Secondly, we were asked about some color references and realized we never put out Alive Lewis or Kitsune Mystery's turnaround reference sheets. So we're rectifying that now. Started this about 20 minutes into his stream today I was SO CLOSE to having this done before @mysterybensmysteryblog finished, but it is what it is. -shrug-

I have not had so much fun doing a timed drawing in a VERY long time. Thank you for the awesome stream, Ben! It was wonderful to lurk and hang out!
