i was thinking about when shifting was super popular on tiktok and i wondered if it was actually a human born dreamwalker that started the trend.
they didn’t know how they were able to not only have very intricate dreams, but also control them, so they thought that they could shift to alternate universes. they decided to share it on tiktok, other people saw it, and everything kind of blew up.
other human born dream walkers shared they’re similar experiences with “shifting” and of course unempowered people started to lie, and say that they could also “shift”.
this was obviously a huge headache for the department, and the best way to play it off was to just plant videos saying shifting isn’t real to help keep covert.

I can’t get that surfer!Asher hc out of my head
I can see him w that sun bleached curly hair, the freckles, the beaming smile he has coming out of the ocean with his surfboard. He looks so handsome, but that changes immediately to cuteness as he spots Babe on the sand bank, jumping and clapping in excitement. He runs over to them with the goofiest grin and picks Babe up, spinning them around and kissing them all over. Babe giggles and says his lips taste like salt.
