Prologue pt.1

Thousands of years ago, Celestial beings made of an inky essence were born into this world through unknown means.  They built a strong empire out of the magic that brought them to life, and found veins of this substance deep in the earth.  They called it Ichor, or “god’s blood.”  They developed their society around the core and used it to create art and life.

However, there was a darkness brewing in the bowels of the islands, as the ichor was alive. The Blot emerged from the earth, creating entities who had souls darker than the night.

A great war was waged against this being, but with their newfound magic, the Celestial armies drew the darkness back, along with the rest of its spawn.

Unfortunately, a curse befell the lands of ink, and their bodies grew uncontrollable and volatile. 

They called it “The Blot’s Curse.”

In an act to save everyone that many still question to this day, the celestial wizard, Yen Sid, gave up his magic and created a machine to purify the ichor deep within the veins and concentrate it into helping those of Inkwell.

Thus the golden era of “Re-Animation” (creating life) began!

With the islands having new societies rise from the rubble, Toons created cities, towns and houses with ToonTown at its very core.

This period of peace did not last, however. Greed overtook the toons as the machine would provide anything they wanted. Many sought to have it all to themselves. This Greed turned to a lust for power that divided the toons. The instability caused by the crumbling society only reawakened The Blot’s Curse.

This ended the golden era of peace and panic swept the nation. Those affected by The Blot sought out Mickey, the mayor of ToonTown. Mickey, realizing he could not do this alone, started a new order within inkwell.

Toons were separated into factions, each led by “The Stars,” Elected leaders that would form parties to search for the fabled ink machine.

This plan would lead to devastation. Many toons were lost, and Inkwell was forever divided. What began as a search for a cure, turned into deadly competition which ultimately led the Stars to retreat to their own guilds, locking themselves away from the deadly disease that ravaged their home. 

What the Stars didn’t know was that the Ink Machine had been torn apart by the Celestials, with the main artifacts of the machine being divided among them. Finally, with no explanation, The Celestials disappeared.

With no cure for The Blot, Toons began to lose hope in their champions

Many have gone missing, and more succumbed to the blot.

The rest are left to deal with the pieces they left behind.

This is where our story begins.

🚫No to AI "Art"/No al "Arte" IA❌ai

ENG:Although I'm not much for giving my opinion and staying out of some things as a drawer, I can't let this go. At first I tolerated it since it was something for fun but seeing that over the years there are people who use it for EVERYTHING on a daily basis, I refuse to stay silent and see how an AI takes the place of people who are dedicated to art and strive to improve and give their all every day has if dealing with social medias algorith wasn't enough.

The truth is that I was doubtful about whether to do this but when this topic came up in my journalism class and my teacher made it very clear that depending on it would only bring us repercussions, I made my decision. Maybe I am not very famous and my drawings are not the best and they even leave me aside for dedicating myself to traditional art, but I prefer that and being criticized for defending my personal opinion than staying silent and regretting my decisions again.If you agreed with me please share and DON'T be afraid to speak up.

ESP:Aunque no soy mucho de dar mi opinion y quedarme al margen respecto a algunas cosas como dibujante no puedo dejar pasar esto.Al principio lo toleraba ya que era algo por diversión pero al ver que con el paso de los años hay personas que lo usan para TODO a diario me rehúso a quedarme callada y ver como una IA tome el lugar de las personas que se dedican al arte y se esfuerzan por mejorar y darlo todo cada día como si lidiar con el algoritmo de las redes sociales no fuera suficiente.

La verdad es que estaba dudosa de si hacer esto pero cuando se tocó este tema en mi clase de periodismo y mi profesor dejó muy en claro que depender de esta solo nos traería repercusiones tomé mi decisión.Tal vez no sea muy famosa y mis dibujos no sean los mejores e incluso me dejen a un lado por dedicarme al arte tradicional,pero prefiero eso y que me critiquen por defender mi opinión personal a quedarme callada y arrepentirme de mis decisiones otra vez.Si estás de acuerdo conmigo por favor comparte y NO tengas miedo de hablar.

Long story short for those who don't know:During this last few months things haven't been easy to me and has result not only my mental was afected but also my motivation and perception at drawing.I was so mad that I ended up giving up for a time until I filled better,which is the main influence on this drawing.

At the beginning I wanted to participate but thank to the stress I give up even before starting,after the time out of 3 weeks of drawing nothing and doing only college's homework I take the decision of try it and here we are

I still feeling defeated but at least is not has before,I hope you love the results so much as me ♡

Is Madnesstale based off of Alice in Wonderland?

also… your style reminds me of Dork Diaries

¡Yes!Madnesstale is inspired by many things from modern,classic and RPG videogames to comics,cartoons and anime I like or caught my attention,but the main inspiration is Alice in Wonderland and its darker version,American McGee's Alice trilogy.

I based myself on some aspects of these to shape Madnesstale and make it different from it but showing a little of what I was inspired by,the most obvious proof being Madfri's dress.

As for the Dork Dairies thing...I don't know how to answer that,Its the first time I heard of it,sorry. 😅

Today is Marine's birthday,the soul of patience in the comic of @brittninja so I used this chance as a way to celebrate the anniversary of the comic that was yesterday.I also make the soul of my au Lucy and Sunny (Madness!Flowey) using the occasion 💙🎂

I'm up to date with the story,Marine is a sugarcube(Literally),the art & story are amazing and the facial expressions are priceless,100% recommend.

💖💘Happy Valentine's Day💝💕

This is a drawing I made last year for the occasion,I uploaded it today because I'm preparing something special for tomorrow.

Context:Charness HATES Valentine's Day because of several bad experiences she had in the past and one in particular on this date,the only thing that she likes of this day is chocolate,especially because on February 15th they put it on sale in the stores and she can buy as many as she wants❤️🍫

By the way,I show more of Flowey and Tamy because I love them and they deserve more attention(The phone and the tablet are from Tamy)
