I don’t intend on abandoning the site entirely. This blog should be fine, because I only plan on posting links to playlists on the channel, answering asks, and occasionally posting a bit of trivia. However, I am considering making a Twitter account to post new uploads on somewhere other than this site.

Hey everyone.

It’s been one hell of a long time, huh? How are you all doing?

For those who haven’t seen this blog before, hi. My name is Drace, and I ran a YouTube channel called Neon Genesis Evangelion Soundtracks. I uploaded every single Evangelion album, EP, and single ever released, no matter how obscure. Everything from A Cruel Angel’s Thesis to theme songs from gacha games. In May 2017 the channel got taken down because the record label that releases almost all Evangelion music didn’t like me violating their copyrights, and I’ve pretty much laid dormant since then.

I know it seems a bit out of the blue for me to post here since the channel’s been dead for more than a year now, but I have a good reason for it.

As you may or may not have heard, Evangelion is getting a new wide release in the Spring of 2019. Netflix is going to add the entire original series, Evangelion: Death, and The End of Evangelion to their library.

Obviously this is going to bring about a renewed interest in the show for people who have never seen it, so I figured it would be the perfect time to get back in business and open up a new channel to post the soundtracks. (It also works because my anxiety and depression have led to me choosing to take a break from college next semester so that I can avoid having a complete mental and/or emotional breakdown. Insert your own joke about Shinji’s mental state in episodes 25, 26, and The End of Evangelion here.)

So, yeah. Starting next Spring, I’m bringing Neon Genesis Evangelion Soundtracks back from the dead and hopefully better than ever. If you have any questions you’d like to ask, my inbox is open.

It's a real shame that they had to delete the channel, I was really looking forward to listening to the soundtracks after my exams, but I suppose I can find them elsewhere. Anyways, before I go out searching on some shady sites, you said you can still hook us up with the albums? :3

Unfortunately, my YouTube channel was deleted. There’s nothing I can do about it. Maybe sometime in the near future I’ll try to reupload anything, but King Records has most likely become more vigilant about their music after this incident.

Important Update.

Unfortunately, King Records (the record company responsible for releasing most of the Evangelion soundtrack) has taken down a number of the channel’s videos and put a few copyright strikes on the channel.

For those of you not familiar with YouTube’s copyright rules, their copyright works on a three-strikes-and-you’re-out system. Once you receive three copyright strikes, your channel gets deleted. This is obviously the worst-case scenario for my YouTube channel, and I hope it doesn’t come to that, but in case it does, I’ll be posting updates about the future of the channel here on Tumblr.

I have no plans to reupload the songs they took down, at risk of the channel getting deleted. However, as usual, you can send me a private message (or an ask off anon) if you want to download the show’s music, and I’ll hook you up with it.

TL;DR: A huge amount of songs were deleted from the channel, there’s nothing I can do about it, and I’m deeply sorry for it.

I nearly forgot to post these here. Whoops!

Last summer I made a couple of ringtones out of some songs from Evangelion for my own personal use. I figured I may as well share them, so I put them up on Google Drive and now you can download them for yourself!

Keep in mind though that since I have an iPhone, the files were made in accordance with the required format for Apple devices. If you have an Android phone it might work but I can’t really promise anything. Sorry.

Also, if you have any other songs you might want to have a ringtone of, let me know which song and the timestamps for which part of it you want and I might get around to making it!

Does anybody have any recommendations for free video editing software? I just got a new laptop and apparently Windows 10 doesn’t come with Windows Movie Maker so now I’m up shit creek without a paddle since JJBA Soundtracks is coming soon.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks so much!
