Can I ask what your thoughts on transfem Leo? It's one of my favorite headcanons and I was silently hoping you'd make a drawing on the HC or some of your own personal headcanons :)

I actually HC both Donnie and Mikey as non-binary but I haven’t pinned down what I feel about Raph or Leo yet.

I’m a bit biased toward male presenting Leo bc his character really helped me feel better about my own views on gender. But I’m all for anyone having fun and their own interpretations of characters, I understand transfem Leo means a lot to many people in the fandom. So I try to design the turtles with an even balance between male and female presenting traits. Like giving them all eyelashes for example.

Honestly though it’s kinda hard for me to think of a female turtle that wouldn’t look the same as the TMNT. Venus in my AU just looks like the turtle tots do bc real life turtles just don’t have many differences at a young age. Also I may or may not have implied that the cloak my older Leo design wears is just a split skirt around his shoulders… I haven’t found a way to make skirts look decent on my turtles yet..

Leo’s perfect no matter the gender presentation tho it’s just a fact.

Hello everyone! I’m sorry I’ve been gone for so long, I’m hoping to answer my asks (thank you for sending them I’m so sorry I didn’t see them!!) and hopefully make some more art when my brain decides it wants to draw again.

Since I’ve gotten polls while I was gone I’ve decided to make a poll of reasons why I was gone for a few months to make things more fun be sure to pick your favorite!

Awww! Venus has such a cutie pie for a brother! What’s their relationship like?

Momotaro is a cautious and anxious raccoon kid, Leo and Usagi found him mutated by Kraang mutagen in New York alone. So he’s a bit afraid of everything, especially weapons and blades since Kraang soldiers are made of metal and blades. Which is a bit of a problem in a house with a ronin and a ninja. Momotaro and Venus get along really well, Venus is kinda of a bossy older sister but it’s only out of protectiveness for Momotaro.

While Leo was really excited to train him as a ninja “He was born with a ninja mask!” But for now Momotaro is content to be like his grandpa and be more of an artist.

Eventually Momotaro will come around to being trained in martial arts and weaponry. He will be more like a samurai or ronin like Usagi and together they’ll be a good team that will argue about what constitutes as “honorable battle tactics”. Thank you for finding my design cute!

Oooh I did like his Last Ronin outfit, I might take inspiration from that but still mix a bit of sci if tech into it. The vision quest one is cool too! I’m deciding on whether or not to give him a hood or hat along with his mask. Thank you for the suggestions!

I’ve gotten designs down for older Raph and Mikey, I still haven’t figure out donnie send help.

Raph’s design is more for direct combat, so I gave him more spikes on his shell and elbows. The knee pads are hinged and turn into blades when he lifts his leg up, he also has an Oni mask now because I like the night watcher but I honestly thought it was too boring and standard sci-fi for the 2012 turtles that were raised traditionally by Splinter. I feel like when Raph gets older his temper properly mellows out and he separates himself from his angry ninja side with the extra mask. When it’s off he’s Raphael but when it’s on he’s a monstrous vengeful ninja.

Mikey’s design is more for being a traditional ninja and suited to moving fast and quietly. After a few missions where Mikey got injured a few too many times for his brothers liking Donnie gives him smoke bombs to use to escape from big fights. Mikey can now use these to create combat opportunities for the rest of his brothers and allies. When he gets older he and Donnie start using toxins and poison for ranged combat as well as close combat. I gave Mikey sleeves and pants because he can hide things like armor Donnie makes for him and poison darts and kunai. Mikey has lethal and non lethal poison by the times he’s in his late 30’s.

The colored bits on their shells are a special type of resin that Donnie made to strengthen and repair their damaged shells.

Wait, does Raph have a prosthesis shell?

No, a turtles shell is connected to their spine and rib cage. I know the series is about mutant ninja turtles but a turtle breaking their shell is a bit too much for me to accept… he has the spikes to both attach the cape he has and to prevent enemies from trying to grapple or grab him. They also cover up the scratches an enemy gave him to filled with Donnie’s shell fixing resin.

I’m new to you page and LOVE your art and representation of the all the turtles. I’m just wondering about your Venus AU, I love it very much but I’m not sure where to find a ton of content on it. Is there like a seperate page for it, does it have a main comic and you do little sketches on the side, are there only little sketches. Sorry if this is weird to ask I just want to make sure I have consumed all available content for this AU.

I’m genuinely curious about this, so I’m just gonna ask: if Venus went back in time to when her dad and his brothers were teenagers, then how exactly are their future selves handling it? I can’t imagine Leo would be taking the fact that his daughter suddenly disappeared very well…

Also, does anyone else get the feeling that the whole scenario would UNINTENTIONALLY be a certain tech savvy turtle’s fault?

I made it out to be some freak lab accident involving Kraang tech, but yeah it was all their faults but in Donnie’s lab so Leo was not happy.

He forgave Donnie pretty fast but Usagi was a whole other story lol. I haven’t nailed down a good Donnie design so I will add him later.

(I added a fourth bead onto Leo’s side bc he has another kid named Momotaro.)

He was too young and skittish to be in Donnie’s lab so he’s fine for now ;)

A little nervous about asking but, could you draw Leo and Mikey hanging out on a lazy day? They could be drawing or watching a show, anything you want.

It’s not as lazy as I wanted it to be but I did draw something Mikey probably does in their downtime.

I love rise Mikey and Leo and I’m a firm believer that they should be silly as a treat.

Okay I wanted to leave this as nicely as I could but now that I’ve sat on it for a few hours I’m actually a bit irritated about it. Like, thank you for liking my art enough to ask me to draw something but also it’s clearly written in my bio I don’t like ship art. I didn’t feel like I should have to explain why I don’t draw that, especially -cest ships. I make my art solely because I want to and I don’t like having pressure put onto me to draw things that I don’t want to.

To be clear as well, I don’t mind asks with drawing prompts at all! Some of them are fun for me to respond to! But asking like this just needles it’s way under my skin, no one is entitled to my art as much as I’m entitled to other peoples art/writing. Most of the artists on Tumblr make art for free for everyone to enjoy, it shouldn’t be such a big thing to respect the one thing I said I don’t like drawing.

Like I said before I probably misread this somehow, it happens with texts but still it can’t be that hard to not sound like this through the whole message. Or use tone indicators idk something that doesn’t signal to me that I’m rudely being talked down to by someone for not drawing art they want.

I don’t know I’m not that mad about it, but damn I was in the Gravity Falls fandom for years and had to deal with asks like this and I’m just tired of it.

No offense, but can you try some shipping art? Just no kissing and everything, just Leo and Raph hugging and stuff. And it has to be crossover mode (Both Leos, both Raphs), OK?

What? I don’t draw ship art really at all except for very few pairings and anything -cest related is not on the list. I’m aro ace and I have a strong repulsion for anything like incest. But it reads like you don’t want ship art but I’m not sure if I’m reading this ask wrong or not. I’m not so sure what to do with this ask really, I don’t mind if people happen to like -cest ships but please don’t ask me to draw it. I will not do that.

I apologize if that wasn’t how you intended for your ask to be interpreted but that’s just how I read it.
