Hey y'all, just an update: things are a bit rough for Abdul and his friends. There's been an outbreak of Typhoid and Malaria and they need help to pay for medication for that, as well as food. Abdul's told me there are about 5 people who've fallen ill and he's been trying to get meds for them.

I love it when women tell me they just finalized their divorce. ESPECIALLY older women. The correct response is always “congratulations” and they always seem so pleasantly surprised, they just seem to light right up and talk about how happy they are, what their plans are, how well they’re doing. I’ve only ever met like 1 person who was upset to be divorced and it was a middle-aged dude. Second most exciting is young men. A 25 year old guy says he just got divorced and you go “congratulations” and he SMILES? You KNOW there’s a story. I love it. People should get divorced more

Flour has become a luxury item for Gazans. With bags selling for $500, many families resort to eating expired foods and whatever they can get their hands on.

If people are lucky enough to get their hands on flour, much of it is spoiled and/or contaminated with insects. The choices are disease or death by starvation. This kind of life is being imposed on almost two million people, roughly half of whom are children.

We want to provide bread made from safe flour to the families in Mawasi Al-Qarara refugee camp.

This will take about 7-10 bags of flour each costing $500 each. It’ll take $3,500-$5,000 in order to make enough loaves to feed 560 people.

Heyyy so. I had several weeks with no available work last month and although I'm getting more this month, I've been repeatedly unable to meet my weekly work goals due to being too exhausted from physical activity and necessary appointments (like doing laundry, therapy, going to the store, since it's constantly hot as hell and I have no car.)

Additionally, I recently had to replace our computer mice (I work online) because they were borderline unusable, so that was about $20.

I also just found out my grandmother, who has severe dementia and has been in a home for the past couple of years, has taken a turn for the worse. I don't live near my family but intend to go to her funeral, so i got clothes i could wear yesterday, which cost about $30.

I'm e-begging for around $180 usd to account for the cost of clothes and computer mice plus two days of work (at $60 per day) to help me be able to pay my rent and internet bill.
