Here's a close-up of the painting I'm currently trying to finish. This will be the seventh piece of my Cedar Creek series, "Swallowed Whole." As a child, I lived at my grandparents' place for a while. They had a chunk of property where my grandfather parked old cars under the cedar trees. As time marches on, nature reclaims them.

I'm ready to share this painting I've been working on. About this time last year, I was working on another ski lift painting, and I feel I have improved since then. This one is called "Chair 4 To Tucker." It's an acrylic painting on 16"x20" canvas. Chair 4 is the last original chair operating at that pass. It's a classic! Though the chair is slow, it has a lot of character.

Always glad to add new pieces to the abundant collection of work here in the art studio.
I've been bringing the original concept art for my latest piece to life in full color, to reach the final result.
Here is the beginning concept art and the final result.

This original artwork, titled "Sad 'N' Blue," is the 6th piece of artwork I created for my "Cedar Creek" series. The artwork features a classic car engulfed in nature, awaiting rescue by its savior.  This piece was created with colored pencils on stretched canvas, size 11x14 inches. I used alcohol in a brush pen as the base blender. The piece has been sealed with a matte clear acrylic sealer. SteelArt By N.E.Thompson steelart.storenvy.com/

A concept drawing I created for the 6th piece of my Cedar Creek series. I don't usually do concept drawings. My beginning stage is usually a light sketch and then I just go for it. However, I was uncertain if I wanted to go square or landscape with the piece.

It's signed! ''Greenhouse Garden''
Over the weekend I completed and signed the new painting "Greenhouse Garden."
It's wired and ready to hang. My portable display wall currently holds the painting, which depicts my experience at the Gaiser Conservatory in Spokane, Washington.

Greenhouse Garden
My "Greenhouse Garden" painting is now complete. The inspiration for this piece came from the Gaiser Conservatory at Manito Park, in Spokane, Washington. My daughter lives in Spokane and has taken me to the conservatory a couple of times, so it brings back good memories for me. The painting was created with acrylic paint on 24"x36" stretched canvas. I didn't outline anything with this piece before beginning, like I normally would. I just went for it. Hope you like how it turned out.

Work in progress for my Greenhouse Garden painting
Hello from the art studio! The first big painting of this year is almost complete. I think after another 10-15 hours of painting I might be able to sign this. I'm feeling optimistic about this now. Half way through the painting I wanted to quit. But, I am finally getting close to the finish.😀 Can't wait to share it with you!

A close up look at the work in progress for my greenhouse garden painting. As it is a larger project for me, on a 24"x36" canvas, it has been taking me a considerable amount of time to complete. Once completed, I will share more about it and the location that inspired the painting.
