So if most witches and wizards can’t see thestrals, but they still have tangible bodies, how come none of the students ever wondered what the invisible creatures they sometimes bump into infront of the carriages are?

Do they just assume it’s actually a magical force field that prevents them from getting infront of the carriages? Has a student ever been accidentally trampled by a threstral they couldn’t see?

Oh man! Everything about the last 20 minutes of this movie is just so good! The battle in the archway, Harry’s intense emotions over Sirius’s death, the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort! The colours in that last one is so beautiful it’s striking everytime. I love it. I love the ending so much!

Though I kinda hate the bit where Voldemort possesses Harry. It’s awkward and a little uncomfortable to watch. Though that may be because it doesn’t translate very well from book to screen.

I love the thought of Harry and Luna having to explain to Hermione, Ron, Ginny, & Neville what threstrals are so that they can get them to ride the creatures to London 😂 Specifically, I like to imagine Harry & Luna helping the others up onto the backs of creatures they can’t see! They’d look so confused by the fact they were straddling invisible horses!

I hate Umbridge. I hate Umbridge so fucking much. The fact that she’s willing to use the Cruciatus curse on a student to force them to comply to her rules is so fucking disgusting.

YES!!! I LOVE THIS SCENE!!

George and Fred crashing the O.W.L.S exam with fireworks is such a great scene!!! It’s a much needed change of tone. And it’s so cathartic to see Umbridge being chased by dragon firework that blows her up!

I’m not even gonna comment on the James’ Potter bullying Snape flashback scene other than the book did it better.

Ugh. I’m at the part where Snape tries to teach Harry occulemancy and I hate it. This part is really where Snape’s “redemption” arc starts and where some tasteless people start simping for Severus Snape. In the movies at least.

I want to make it clear that this is not against Alan Rickman. I love that man and his portrayal of Snape is great! But simping for him is different than simping for Snape and it’s the later I have a problem with.

Still can’t believe JK wrote an entire book where Harry teaches a bunch of his peers and genuinely enjoys it and still decided the best career path for him was to be an auror. Insane.
