My Illidari

Name: Kyojuro

Class: Demon Hunter

Race: Night Elf

Backstory:

Before the Burning Legion destroyed their home, Kyojuro was dedicated druid. They studied the teachings of Malfurion Stormrage and believed in protecting the balance of nature. When the Burning Legion attempted to take the World tree Nordrassil, Kyojuro lost many of their friends and family. Seeing the destruction caused by the fel powered demons, they joined some of their fellow Kaldorei in seeking out Illidan Stormrage.

Like the other night elves who sought out the Betrayer, Kyojuro underwent the necessary rituals to adopt the power of the fel. Already having experience prioritizing their agility in combat they quickly became a feared member of the Illidari ranks.

After the mission to retrieve the Sargeras Key Stone from Mardum, Kyojuro was imprisoned alongside their fellow Illidari. When they were finally released and recruited by the Arch-mage Khadgar, Kyojuro fought tirelessly to destroy the Burning Legion once and for all.

With the Burning Legion held back for the time being, Kyojuro fights alongside the Alliance to protect Azeroth from any threat that it may face.

The future of my ramblings.

I know that no one gives a shit cause this blog has no followers but I think I'm gonna start posting my characters and their backstory. Cause for most of not all of my characters I have thought of pretty deep back stories and the reasons they do what they do.

I basically treat my characters like OC's and I really want to share them even if no one reads it. Anyways if you want to see those stick around, if not oh well.

W.o.W Art

Alright so I love to draw, one of my favorite things to draw is my favorite characters from different animes, as you have probably figured out. Anyways, I've always wanted to branch out and draw video game characters so today I tried my hand at. Remember this is my first time drawing non-anime/cartoon style characters.

Here's a side by side of my reference picture and the finished piece.

I drew Kalecgos, of course. I'm super proud of it. The way I drew him almost gives a cartoon feel to it which I'm not mad at. I'm hoping to try drawing more characters from my favorite games and seeing how they turn out.

Back on my bullshit.

So if you ever looked at my header image, you'd clearly see I name my characters after anime characters. I also for the most part try to match the characters aesthetic similar to their namesake. All of this is to introduce my new Warrior.

Sorein the warrior dracthyr. They are modeled after Soren from The Dragon Prince, obviously the name is misspelled but I feel like I did pretty good matching Soren's vibe.

Has War Within been making anyone else want to cry? Like first the campaign quests with all its heart wrenching bullshit and then some of the side quests. like seriously blizzard said 'let us destroy your emotions real quick.' Mind you I haven't even done every possible side quests of the new expansion, I still have so many stories to experience. How many more times will this game make me cry before the next expansion.

There are four sides to dungeon finder:

A well rounded group where everyone just does their jobs, healers heal, tanks tank and DPS focus on dps

Fast pull tanks who pull everything to one spot and expect everything to turn out fine (note: if a tank asks if a fast run is ok that's one thing but just running through mobs without letting the group know that's the plan can really fuck with people)

Healers who focus on dps instead of healing, example low level characters who don't have a lot of healing spells who just queue as healer to get in dungeons faster

DPS who think they can tank, similar to the tank problem but even more annoying because they tend to pull mobs that the tank was going to avoid. (Note: it's easy to tell if it's an accidental pull or a DPS being a troll)

See my personal favorite type of dungeon group is number 1. If everyone is doing their job the chance of people wiping is slim, and the run is fun. If you're lucky you might even end up queueing with a good group for a couple additional dungeons.

When I get in a group with the other types of groups, I tend to want to leave but with dungeon jail being a 'if you leave at all before the last boss' thing I just have to suffer with the hellish groups.

All I'm trying to say is please think about the other people in your group if you lfg, some people only have a limited amount of time to play each day and taking 30 minutes of dungeon lock can eat in to so much of people's time. And yes W.o.W isn't only about dungeons and lfg but sometimes it's people's favorite part of the game so please be considerate.

Finally got War Within, sadly I have to work for the next 8 hours but it's my Friday so once I get home it's gonna be a w.o.w binge.

The Best Aspect

If you asked most W.o.W players they would probably tell you that Alexstraza or Nozdormu are the best aspect, and while I can understand that, I have a different opinion. To me Kalecgos is the best aspect.

Hear me out, while all the other aspects and most other dragons chose visages of elves, Kalecgos chose to be half elf. He chose to be a mix of both humans and elves, he chose for people to see his 'mortal' form and not think he thought himself better than them. He wanted to be approachable.

But also he is so dedicated to seeing that his flight is brought back from the brink of being wiped out. After reclaiming the azure oath-stone, he sought to bring all his long lost flight-mates back to their ancestral home.

Yes, all the other aspect do similar things after reclaim their parts of the isle, and sure the Blue Dragon Flight isn't the most damaged of the flights. But Kalecgos' love for his flight is one of the reasons he was chosen to take to Malygos' spot as the aspect. That's a major factor for me.

Kalecgos was chosen to lead his flight. For the most part the other aspects took on the title when they accepted the titan's gifts but Kalecgos was voted to be the new blue aspect when the blue dragons could have easily just let Malygos's son take the mantel.

I'm not saying the other Aspects are less becuase they weren't chosen or that Kalecgos is automatically better better because of it. I'm just saying in my opinion it speaks more about his character that his people wanted to be led by him and chose him. To me it shows that he is a caring person and would truly do anything for his flight and the ones he cares about.

Hello citizens of Azeroth

Ight so I know the World of Warcraft community isn't the big here on tumblr but I figured this is as good a place as any to share my random W.o.W related rambles.

Anyways, a little bit about me. I'm 22 and have been playing World of Warcraft of and on since about 2007ish. Obviously I only really got into the actual game play and lore in recent years, but W.o.W has always been and will always be a big part of my life.
