*REC - Mizu Asato
Rating: COMPLETE FAIL OMG! I only got through seven pages of this manga and it was too bad, like seriously it’s about this kid who is in the sixth grade getting hit on sexually by a perverted middle aged man and this is recorded on camera which I assume he plays back to himself. Like it’s completely sick and twisted and the girl looks so uncomfortable. OMG!

..xKokuhkakuxOre - Takeuchi Sugama
Rating: C This one is alright, it’s not one I hate but I’m just not completely impressed by it, it’s about a guy who is scared that he might be gay but then he finds a male crossdresser and tells them that he’s in love with them, however after learning the secret he starts to be more open to being homosexual, nothing incredibly special but it’s okay.

& Dropout - Tomoe
Rating: F Okay, this nearly got a COMPLETE FAIL just because of how difficult and over the top it was to read. Seriously, everything is forced and it shows f/f relationships over and over, the characters never get enough depth and it actually starts with the main character talking about how they get good grades and are good at sports. I mean seriously, this one-shot shows talent in the artwork but definitely not in the plot line. Argh, it’s horrible!

“Suki” to Ienai - Miyawaki Yukino
Rating: D- I hesitated about giving this one a straight F even though the dialogue and plot seemed to drive me that direction. This one shot is about a girl who has heavy feelings for her adopted brother who acts as the girl’s older brother even though he knows about this. The thing is that when they are shown to adopt him he seems at least four years old and I think at that point if someone tells you that this girl will now become your little sister you’d already know that this is an adoptive family, it just seemed pretty weird to me.

Hajimete Ageru - Hoshimori Yukimo
Rating: F I know this is going to be something that a lot of people would disagree with me on, but there is like nothing to this main character and it feels a bit Twilighty to me. Seriously, the girl just ends up with the guy because two years ago she helped a kid who had spilled juice, not to mention that they got an ‘I love you’ out of each other on the first date after a kissing competition, like seriously, can we pull out the pink fluffy balloons wearing costume jewelry yet?

.traeH - Hanatsu Yaya
Rating: B Okay, so it’s not perfect but it’s pretty cute, there’s nothing that exciting or new about the story but it is a very sweet stories with characters that appear well developed for only being shown for thirty pages and the artwork is adorable. I would want to read a second chapter of this. The girls in it have very deep personalities and it really shows skill how Hanatsu-san brings out the emotions throughout the use of shadow.
