You are most welcome, @brb-on-a-quest ! Glad I could help! Thanks for a wonderful topic! 😉
i keep having thoughts
so... when we see dragons eating sheep, they're often depicted as swallowing them whole to make sure they're known as big scary bad guys. Which I feel like would be a very uncomfortable eating experience bc...wool is scratch and floofy and it'd be like... eating a very furry peach that had like triple the amount of skin on it? But like not sweet in the middle because its meat.
And then its like...how do dragon take off floof? I'd imagine teeth would be not fun because then you have wool in your mouth. I don't know if burning sheep alive would work because then you've just burnt your entire dinner bc hair burns extremely fast. Claws would not be efficient I don't think but like maybe?
@walkthruthewords thoughts? What is your experience on eating sheep? Do you eat with or without the floof? :P

Thank you for the ping, @heatherthetiredwriter 😀 Time to get my HTTYD-knowledge monocle on. 😂🧐
In the Books, the dragons never had problems with eating sheep. Though, to be fair, many of them have sharp teeth and claws to get through all that. They could also use their claws to sheer off the wool. And there's always burning the wool away, but there's a risk of charring the sheep if the dragon doesn't like it.
It's kinda the same with the dragons in HTTYD movie and TV franchise. Only, we see the Red Death eating it and being fine with it since it's so massive. The rest of the time, dragons seem to be content with fish, boars, chickens, and others. If they eat mutton, it's usually if a human has already prepared the meat for them. Or a dragon as a particular trait that allows them to eat them foregoing the wool. (Can't think of any off the top of my head though).
The one thing I DO question is dragons being able to eat fruits and bread. That's... I don't think that's possible. Dragons, for one, are carnivores. Period, end of story! Unless there's a certain dragon that DOES have a fruit, glucose/nectar, or even herbivorous diet. (Like the Buffalord.) But dragons like Toothless and the Five Commons? Yeah, no. Sorry. Not happening.

HTTYD Fanfic Idea: Love Potion Prompt
Hey, everyone. I just came up with an interesting fanfic idea based on a prompt that I had in my to-do list for the past few years but never got around to it.
The idea is where Hiccup and Heather drink a love potion (unknowingly) thanks to a witch who's trying to get revenge on Stoick and chaos ensues. Not sure whether Hiccther becomes end game or not, but it sounded like a funny prompt to do, so I came up with this.
What do you guys think? Vote on the poll if you'd like Hiccther or Hiccstrid as an end-game pairing for this prompt.

Fishlegs is Alvin's Son? (HTTYD/RTTE Theory/Headcanon)
Tumblr media
Well met, my fellow Furians! In connection with my Fishlegs the Outcast article (here), this is another article concerning the relationship between Fishlegs and Alvin the Treacherous Trustworthy.
Could Fishlegs be Alvin's son?
Why would I ask that? Well, if you're a fan of the books like I am, it's obvious I'd ask this question. In the books, Fishlegs was Alvin's son. (Spoilers: Alvin doesn't get a redemption arc in the books. He remains an unrepentant villain to the last! 😂)
Naturally, of course, this is the TV series, and TV Alvin is va-a-a-a-astly different from his Book counterpart. As is Fishlegs, for that matter. And, well, the entire story plot. So it just goes to show that it's 98% likely that they have zero blood relations at all!
HOWEVER!!! That doesn't mean that it's impossible! It's always plausible that Fishlegs could've been adopted, like in the books, and that his real biological father is Alvin!
Of course, in reality, Fishlegs and Alvin have had too few interactions to really authenticate this theory, but at the same time, it's also possible for Alvin to totally not recognize his son (especially if he's never seen the child to begin with), and thus treat him differently than if he knew that he was his son.
Regardless of whether this is true or not, the fact that this plausibility exists just adds an additional layer of depth to this relationship that wasn't there before, and I'm LOVING IT!! 🤩😍
What do you guys think? Do you think that TV Fishlegs and Alvin could be biologically related? Or do you think that they're not related at all?
Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a wonderful day! See you in another article!

Fishlegs the Outcast? (HTTYD/RTTE Fanon Headcanon)
Tumblr media
Well met, my fellow Furians! And welcome to another article! Today's topic will dive into the relationship between Alvin and Fishlegs in the RTTE Season 5 episode "Return of Thor Bonecrusher".
This will leap from my Outcast/Incast Redemption Headcanon articles, and I have a lovely little fanon headcanon for you guys. 😆
So for those of you who've read my Alvin the Trustworthy/Outcast Tribe-Turned-Incast Tribe headcanon articles (here, here, and here), and have seen my X Leaves Berk fanfic ideas (here), you'll probably recognize this topic a little bit. 😏😉
I also have a theory/headcanon article about Fishlegs being Alvin's son that you can read here.
What if Fishlegs was an Outcast? Instead of your usual Hiccup Leaves Berk AU fanfic or comic, what if it was Fishlegs who left Berk? There are many ways to do it: from having wanderlust and wanting to travel, to being banished for one reason or another, or having indirectly harmed somebody, or even from him banishing himself from Berk, or wanting to become a merchant. There are so many ways to go about this when it comes to Fishlegs. I find it sad that nobody's ever thought of anyone else leaving Berk besides Hiccup. 😢
But I'm digressing. Back to my original question: What if Fishlegs was an Outcast? Whether this happened before, during, or after Alvin's redemption; whether this happened in HTTYD 1, RoB, DoB, or RttE; or whether Fishlegs truly became an Outcast for one reason or another is beside the point.
After watching "Return of Thor Bonecrusher," I've come to an idea that I've never thought about: What if Fishlegs became an Outcast? What if the result of that event brought about a series of scenarios that would change Fishlegs' life forever?
What if Alvin, having been impressed with Fishlegs' courage and his help in rescuing him from bandits, that he decided to go to Berk and asked both Stoick and Fishlegs' parents if he could adopt him as his heir to the Outcast-now-Incast Tribe?
In Viking society, adoption and foster parenting was a big part of their culture and they were one of the many ways to build or solidify alliances or friendships with each other.
Now we know that, canonically speaking, Fishlegs remained on Berk and probably would've refused the offer even if it had been proffered to him. But this is why this is a fanon headcanon. 😏🤫
What would happen if Fishlegs had accepted the offer of adoption, and left his family and Berk to become Alvin's heir of the OutIncast Tribe? I think the majority if not all of the Outcasts would unanimously vote in favor of that, if that episode was anything to go by.
But I think it'd be great since Alvin doesn't have an heir and is getting on in years. It'd be a great relief on his mind if he had somebody capable who could lead the Incasts.
Crap, now that makes me want to write a fanfic about that! 😂
Also, here's a bonus scene with them in the Riders of Berk episode "Alvin and the Outcasts". They're talking about poetry here. It's hilarious! 😂
I'd love to know what you guys think about this, because I find this to be a very interesting concept.
Thank you very much for reading this and see you guys in the next article!

Nothing Rhymes with Empty by Noctus Fury
Riders of Berk Episode 6 "Alvin and the Outcasts"
I really found this scene hilarious! And this is actually the first interaction between Fishlegs and Alvin. And what they first talk about is rhymes and poetry. It's hilarious! I headcanon that they both share a love for poetry. I also headcanon that long after Alvin becomes an ally of Berk, whenever he occasionally visits, he sets some time aside to chat with Fishlegs about poetry and rhymes and stuff.
I hope you enjoyed this. Thank you for reading!

Snotlout 2.0 by Noctus Fury
I have to say, I'm really proud of how much Snotlout has grown throughout RTTE and HTTYD 2. 😏😌👑
(We are forgetting and ignoring the heresy that is HTTYD3 which completely reverted his entire character back to HTTYD 1, if not worse.)

Nightmare King by Noctus Fury
Season 1 Episode 13 "Total Nightmare"
I really enjoyed this episode as it gave Snotlout and Hookfang an extra layer of character development and growth. And it was really lovely to see a further inside look into the Monstrous Nightmares. That was a lovely treat! 🥰
I also loved seeing Snotlout bonding with both of his Nightmares. I could totally see him just hanging out with them or babysitting the babies so that Hookfang and Mrs. Hookfang could "go on a date hunt" or whatever. So precious! 🥰
Anyone else think that Snotlout should just establish a Nightmare Sanctuary. 👀
Though I have to say that I was rather disappointed that we didn't get to see the female Nightmare get named. "Female Hookfang" is rather... I'll just say it, it's LAZY!! Just call her "Dragonfruit" or "Ember" or something. 😩
It's also sad that we don't get to see her or the babies again. I kinda wanted passing scenes or mentions of them and see Snotlout occasionally see them with Hookfang. But I guess I'll have to satisfy that urge with a fanfic or three. 😤
It was also disappointing to not see the baby Nightmares. I'm sure they were adorable! 🥺
As a bonus, here's some Snotlout & Baby Nightmare shots from Gift of the Night Fury!

Here's a link to my recent HTTYD article called [What Would've Happened Had Stoick Slain Dagur?]. It was a very fun topic to discuss about the what-if scenario of Stoick not having been interrupted in slaying Dagur in order to save Barf & Belch, which, of course, had the potential in risking all-out war with the Berserkers.

Mildew’s Wives (RoB/HTTYD Theory)
Tumblr media
Hello, everyone! Welcome to another HTTYD article! Today we’ll dive into the topic concerning Mildew’s wives, which we see in the first episode of Riders of Berk. And are also mentioned in the 5th episode “In Dragons We Trust”.
Perhaps I’m the only person who is interested in this, or even remembers this since these are just background portraits of his ex-wives. But I can’t help but want to pursue this and figure it out!
If you’re interested in my other Mildew article where I dive into who inherited his farm after his outlawry, click here.
Now we know from what was said from Stoick and Gobber that Mildew was a long-standing dragon slayer with a marvelous reputation back in his younger days when dragon raids were common. As, I assume, his father before him. Interestingly enough, since it feels implied that it was in the more recent decades that Berk sent Mildew far from the village due to his unpleasant personality, it could be assumed that he might’ve been different when he was younger.
Of course, we don’t know what or when Mildew became “the Very Unpleasant”. That being said, he’s mentioned to be very hideous and even implied to be unhygienic. So that could also be why, as he’s a cabbage farmer, owns a sheep, and doesn’t seem to take a bath at all. He also has a very hairy back, according to Gobber after he treated him.
Funnily enough, his wives also seem to be... equally unpleasant. Naturally, we know very little about his past and what he went through back then, nor about what his wives might’ve been like. (Which is a bit of a shame.)
Of course, I find it funny that they were as hideous as he was. Though he probably married them as formal alliances with other families during his famous dragon-slaying days. Or maybe he was desperate because nobody else would marry him, due to his unpleasant nature (in many ways). Whoever they were and whatever they were like — or even if they were natives to Berk or outsiders — we’ll never know. It’s up to anyone’s interpretation.
In "In Dragons We Trust", Mildew mentions that he had three wives, who all died at some point, to which he states are “pleasant memories,” suggesting he did not like them despite being married to them. (And it may be assumed that they also didn’t like him just as much.)
Now, of course, we could assume that they died from various things: childbirth, disease, an accident, even dragon attacks. Or perhaps they died from the same thing. We don’t know.
However, there could be a much more... macabre alternative.
Murder.
In the episode “In Dragons We Trust”, we see Mildew grab and use dragon claws and feet to frame the dragons in order to banish them from Berk. He then throws them away to get rid of the evidence, possibly knowing that Hiccup and the Gang would eventually find them and he’d get in trouble for it.
Tumblr media
Now, this looks like Nightmare claws and... Zippleback feet? But these seem to be some of his trophies he’s won from back in his younger days as a renowned warrior.
Now I’m sure you’re curious as to why I brought up the “murder” option. It sounds more like he didn’t do any of that from what he says, as it implies that their deaths happened without him having to do anything.
But this is a “what-if” scenario. What if he bumped off one or even all three of his ex-wives and used these tools to frame the dragons for having killed them?
Think about it. The fact that he even HAS these to begin with is rather sus. I mean, what would he even need these for, if not for what he did to his wives in the past? The claw thingy makes for a terrible backscratcher, and the dragon feet I can’t see anyone using unless they have some sort of winter-proof function that we don’t know about.
But the fact Mildew has these tools at all is rather sus, like I said previously. Why even have them at all except to having used them to frame dragons before for previous wrongdoings?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plus, when he came home, he greeted the portraits callously by saying, “I’m back home, ladies!! Eh? What’s that, ya say? Nothing? Perfect!”
Tumblr media
After claiming those tools, he says to Fungus, “These have served us well, haven’t they, Fungus?” While he was obviously talking about the incidents with framing the dragons, it’s obvious he had these long before that, which is sus. Again, I highly doubt he uses them as winter boots and a backscratcher, so why else would he have them and why would they have served him well save for using them for murder?
Of course, I don’t know when Mildew was banished to this far-off house and farm plot, but it sounds like it was anywhere between 10-20 years ago. Heck, it could even be even longer, but Gobber said, “Why do you think we sent ya to the other side of the village?” so that kinda implies that it was within 10 or so years. No more than 20. Or maybe it might’ve been only 5 years. We just don’t know. 🤔
Anyway, I’m digressing. Point is that he’s a farmer, so he could’ve lived close to the village, or maybe he was even a resident inside the village, so maybe it might’ve been difficult to stage a murder. However, if he was living NEAR the village, then he might have the opportunity to get rid of his wives during dragon raids. Maybe even burn his own house to drive it home. Or, assuming he was still married (at least to his third and last wife), it would’ve been easy to do it at his isolated farm and especially during a dragon raid.
However, again, it’s probably unlikely, but with Mildew being Mildew, I wouldn’t put it past him. But it could be that he never did that and that those deaths are very natural. But it’s an interesting plausibility.
What do you guys think? Do you think it’s possible?
Thank you very much for reading! And I hope to see you in the next article!
Long Live the Night!

You know, as I'm reading isekai / reincarnation / regression mangas and manhwas, I can't help but pity the superiors or lieges of MCs who can't help but have headaches whenever they (the MCs) just power their way through things without much thought. Not to mention that they're OP and that they can't really do much to stop them if they decide to... go rogue.
So yeah, I wouldn't want to be the superior to an OP MC. lol 😅

Color Phobias
Tumblr media
So I got curious about the different color phobias since I was writing an OC who'd be afraid of the color red, and it just went down the rabbit hole and I ended up searching for the other colors as well. Not sure if this is all of the colors, but this is what I ended up with.
So I hope this helps you guys if you yourself ever got curious or if you also wanted to give a color phobia to a character of yours or to a canon character from whichever fandom you're writing for.
Here are the different color phobias:
Erythrophobia, fear of the color red.
Chrysophobia, fear of the color orange or gold.
Cyanophobia, fear of the color blue.
Kastanophobia, fear of the color brown.
Leukophobia, fear of the color white.
Prasinophobia, fear of the color green.
Rhodophobia, fear of the color pink.
Porphyrophobia, fear of the color purple.
Melanophobia, fear of the color black.
Xanthophobia, fear of the color yellow.
Thank you for reading.

What Would Have Happened if Stoick Slew Dagur? (Riders of Berk)
Tumblr media
Hello, fellow Furians! Welcome to another HTTYD article! Today, we'll dive into the what-if scenario that could've happened in the Riders of Berk episode "Twinsanity".
In this scene, Stoick was clearly about to end the Berserker Dynasty right then and there, until DreamWorks Hiccup and the Gang came along and interrupted it with their fake "Dragon Raid" forcing the Berserkers to retreat.
Thus, the question is this: What would've happened if he had succeeded or failed in doing so had he NOT been interrupted?
Obviously, of course, there would've been war between Berk and Berserk. Reason for this is that there would be witnesses who'd see Stoick strike Dagur down from behind. There are four Berserk Guards who are with Dagur (as seen below).
Tumblr media
There's a risk of the one who's not encumbered with a task — and is closest in proximity to Dagur — intercepting Stoick's strike. However, when Stoick closes the distance with Dagur, the other guards, along with Dagur himself, are far too preoccupied with Barf and Belch to notice Stoick's actions. So it's possible that Stoick could easily succeed in assassinating Dagur.
However, it's what happens afterward that's important. The guards would've seen Stoick slay their chieftain and will want to exact vengeance. Of course, as we know, the moment Stoick slays Dagur, Hiccup and the Gang come in with their fake dragon raid on the Berserkers. There might be a 5-10% chance that Stoick, depending on the timing and the Berserker's POV, might get away with it if the Berserkers immediately focus from Barf and Belch to the other dragons without noticing Dagur's fall. But I doubt that Dagur would go down without a fight or without making any sound, hence why the percentage is so low.
So we will continue with the assumption that the Berserkers saw Stoick slay their chieftain. Stoick and the others would have to deal with them, or else they'll report this to the armada waiting near Berk's docks.
Of course, if Berk fails to cover their assassination up, they'll immediately have to deal with an entire armada of angry Berserkers. Even if the Berkians are battle-hardened and every person who can hold a weapon is recruited and the dragons join in the fight, and even if the majority of the Berserkers haven't seen many battles or wars, it can't be denied that the Berserkers have been well-trained and are, of course, Berserkers. It'll still be a very difficult fight. There will be severe casualties on both sides. In the end, though, Berk will probably pull through this with a victory in the end. But at what cost? It'd be a conflict that could've been easily avoided, and Berk suffered losses that it can ill afford to take when they're still fighting with the Outcasts — with little gains to show for it. And there's no guarantee that the conflict will even end there.
So, in summary, if Stoick wasn't interrupted and succeeded in ending Dagur, he'll need to get rid of the guards as well. This will be pretty easy since they have the dragons, and they can easily make it look like a dragon raid killed them and hopefully Berk can relax and keep an alliance with Berk, while Berserk is reeling from their chief's death and busy running around killing as many dragons as they can. And — even better — Berk could masquerade this as something that Alvin, an Outcast, did and can better solidify Berserk's involvement in Berk's war against the Outcasts.
So yeah, so long as the Berserkers don't look too closely at the bodies, the Berkians would have a pretty good chance at getting away with it.
What do you guys think? What would've happened had Stoick went with his plan? Do you think that Berk would've been able to get away with it? Or would it end up sinking in defeat, with Alvin taking advantage of the chaos? Tell me your thoughts!
Thank you for reading! I hope you found this article intriguing and I'll see you in the next article.

My New Schedule for HTTYD Articles
Tumblr media
Well met, my fellow Furians! This is an announcement concerning the future schedule of my HTTYD articles that I've been writing.
I'm super sorry that I've been scatterdrifting my schedule a lot and that it's not as reliable as I'd like. Life has been difficult lately, so I've had less time and energy to work on these articles. 😭
However, now that it's the Year of the Dragon 2024, I'm aiming to solidify my schedule for these articles, as I get a great enjoyment out of writing these!
My new schedule I plan on having at least 1 HTTYD article posted every Friday at 12pm CST, from now on. If an article is taking more time than I thought, then I'll let you guys know if I'm unable to meet the deadline. Or if it's taking longer, then I'll switch to a lighter article to work on.
Thank you for your continued support! And as a thank you and an apology, I'll be posting a HTTYD article this Tuesday called "What Would Happen if Stoick Succeeded in Slaying Dagur?". Keep your eyes peeled for that with your spyglass! 😉
