Where do you go for answers?

I love to make my fics really accurate, either to cannon or world events. For example in my current wip the main character is listening to music on a walkman, ive never used one so I am trying to use Google for answers, but also I am trying to make the music accurate to that time, to the point of searching the month and charts. Where do you go for this information?

I'd love if there was a subreddit or something that you could ask people these questions
