Either Nico and Jack need to focus on their stealth, or just come out lol. They are on the precipice of discovery! A part of me just wanted Jack to answer Quinn with a snarky “well we weren’t discussing the weather.” Or just say “yes, I like him” to Luke. How does Luke not even notice yet! Like you are right there! They are RIGHT THERE! It feels like the Ferrari team (especially poor Dave the trainer and Jack’s PR manager) will find out before Quinn and Luke! Hell, even Santos is super close to the truth!

Someone needs to tell Jack that the truth is not some distant conclusion that nobody would ever deem to piece together, in fact it’s screaming in the face of the world, and everyone is turning a blind eye.

Maybe Quinn knows but is waiting for Jack to feel comfortable enough to tell him so they can talk. But, there is no way Luke is doing the same. The kid is just something else. Sorry for my conspiracy theories, my thoughts are running wild!

Anyway, I am absolutely enamored by Inertia thus far. You are an amazing writer! Truly, so talented! But I beg of you! Please let at least one brothers to wake up to reality soon!

jack is mildly delusional in continuing the insistence that no one could ever possibly figure us out because like. yeah omg you two need to keep it together if you actually want that to be true... he might be right in assuming/hoping nobody will bother bringing it up to him no matter what they might be assuming, but jack can't exactly read their minds. so who knows what everyone is thinking!!! (evil laugh. i know)

both quinn and luke are highkey trying to corner jack into admitting something. they know better than to start pointing fingers but also... come on man... nico and jack are both massive giant stupid idiots who can't keep their mouths shut LIKE. we are having fun here. i am having fun here. hehe

and i love and appreciate the conspiracy theories!! i've said it before and i'll say it a million more times few things in this world make my writer heart as happy as people talking about and discussing my fics. like yes pls make assumptions based on what i've written i love that so much. speculation my beloved (and sometimes when said speculations are shared with me i get Ideas so. heh)

soon hopefully!! i know it’s been Over a month at this point since i updated 😅 this semester has been harder than my last semester (in which i spent most of my time in class actually just writing fanfiction) but no surprises there on my end lol. hard to write during class when class is flying a plane… imagine you are just a humble fanfiction writer with a measly 1 hour of flying in your logbook and the dudebro that is flight instructing you today tells you ON THE RUNWAY with ANOTHER PLANE BEHIND YOU that you have controls for takeoff. I WHAT?

ANYWAYS. not humble at all tbh. but i am working on ch6, as always my outline-less nonsense means i’m still not sure when it’s going to end lmao canada is nearly done but i might stick the next round in the chapter too. maybe i will post another snippet before it’s done as reparations 😔

hey i just wanted to tell you not to stress about any broken links, the fic is so amazing and it's insane how many words you have already written for it and looking at the chapter count we're not even halfway through. so don't stress about stuff like that and i hope your doc is treating you better and letting you write in peace now. very excited where the next chapter will take us!

thank you i appreciate it!!! 😭😭 i do still intend to fix the busted links at Some point but it remains low on my proority list. mostly because i don’t actually feel like dealing with html rn (it’s evil) but eventually! i will fix it! i kind of have to before the next chapter goes up bc if those links are broken now they’ll still be broken when i go to use the same image links for tweets in the new chapter lol

and my main doc is still evil and laggy. apparently google docs limit is like 1,000,000 characters before it starts struggling to keep up loading so! the more you know. i made a new document (appropriately titled “inertia lag defeater”) to write new scenes then i just copy-paste it onto the main document every so often to check the word count. and the next chapter will take us Places every time i put jack and nico in a room together they act crazy
