hi !! i really love your writing, and your 'no light, no light' fic really got to me. i hope i dont sound weird or anything but i was genuinely wondering if you'll ever get back to writing more of your danganronpa mastermind AUs?

Cosa Nostra is fucking incredible and I love EVERYTHING about this! This is also how I see my favorite wlwolves as well! Everything about their charachtetization, as well as the brief snippets of the rest of the PL gang as well. One thing I wpuld love to see in the future? You know how ATLA had "field trips with zuko"? Well I would love to see the PL go on "field trips with Lappland! XD BTW could I get your permission to do a fan dub of the fic? I would of course credit you as the author.

Hi! I am so terribly sorry for the late response -- I’m not on tumblr much, let alone sideblogs; at this point it’s probably better yelling at me on twitter or AO3 because at least I get email/push notifications for those. Tumblr seems ... like a shambling ship held together by tape and spit ... or maybe I’ve finally fallen to the same issue of inboxes eating asks, which many people got plagued by years ago. But, I digress.

Thanks for enjoying Cosa Nostra! As my first fic into the fandom, I wasn’t sure how it’d be received -- all I wanted was to share my self-indulgent and gratuitous headcanons. Haha, actually, I’ve been working on a story in that vein -- Lappland’s field trips through Terra, though not quite in the style you were envisioning. Look forwards to it soon!

I know they’re old now but I was checking out your DR1 fics and god they’re so fun and spicy! The celesgiri + despaircest absolutely slaps. I read some of your recent writing and its exciting to see how far your writing has come since! Seriously you’re a fantastic writer. It makes me curious - did you ever end up playing DRV3? I feel like the dynamics and tones in V3 feel very suited to the themes you explore from Danganronpa and the way you use fun, sharp dialogue and descriptive language.

Hello! I’m terribly sorry for the late response -- I never get ask notifications at all so I have to check them manually if I sense a notion that perhaps I ought to take a gander at my inbox.

I have to say, out of all my old fics, the DR1 ones (particularly ‘night terrors’) continue to get the most traffic, and I guess it’s fascinating to me that they have that much staying power even after this long. And thank you very much :^) I’m glad that my legacy (??) on the fandom was my niche Celesgiri and Despaircest stuff; I still think fondly of them so I’m glad to hear others still enjoy them, too.

I don’t think I ever finished the SDR2 LP back in the day (remember The Paywall ...), and DRV3 came out so long after that I’d wandered onto other fandoms by then. I might go back and watch a LP at some point though, so perhaps I might write up some brainworms for that fandom sometime in the future.

whilst old, i still reread your Devil and the Deep Blue Sea fics and am still in awe of how well written they are! you have such a way with words and it's a blessing to read them

Aaahhh hello! I’m so sorry for the late reply -- tumblr never sends me ask notifications so I have zero clue whenever I receive one. But I digress.

You’re too kind, anon; thank you for your message -- the fact that people are still finding and reading my old stories even now means the world to me. I’m glad you still find it worth a revisit! As I make my slow foray back into fandom after several years (with just as much self-indulgent nonsense that I write primarily to appeal to me, myself, and I), I can only hope people will still derive some enjoyment from my works too.

The red haze of madness comes and goes, like a shark scenting blood in the water.

Things are a little like how they were in old times. There are times when Specter is lucid, a shadow resembling her former self as the saw-blade of her weapon hums and buzzes, slicing through flesh and bone -- and then Skadi scents the metallic smell of blood saturating the air, the hot-carbon stench of burning bone grinding against saw-teeth. Those are the moments when Specter rouses from her fugue as though waking up from a deep sleep and awakens to the red haze of madness, like a shark scenting blood in open water. Those are the moments when a shadow of the deeps stirs in her eyes, when her laughter rings in Skadi's ears and mingles with the choked, guttural snarl of her circle-saw engine as it roars through the air

For a story about sharing a bath, this is awfully un-steamy (ba dum tsh).

– Skadi/Specter (+Grani?)

The sea can be cruel, but it can also be kind – and the land-dwellers know little of either.

Through the orange-filtered lenses of her sunglasses, Skadi can see the doctor dragged off somewhere, trailing in Skyfire and Provence’s wake as they head off towards one of the hiking trails destined for the volcano. Further up the boardwalk, Nearl and Shining walk side to side, shoulders almost touching, the former holding up her shield as a makeshift umbrella. Out in the water, Vigna drifts between swimmers and surfers on a tiny one-person motorboat, engine idling while Sora takes on song requests and, once her makeshift setlist is compiled, begins an impromptu mobile concert tour in miniature.

From where Skadi is sitting, the sea seems tame, benign, its waters a bright and glittering blue like a sparkling gem held up to the light.

BEACH EPISODE, BEACH EPISODE.

With Skadi’s Coral Coast digs, now both gillfronds have an outfit :’) What better way to commemorate than with gals being pals, havin some swimsuit fun … uh. That’s probably false advertising, I’m sorry.

– Texas/Lappland

Cosa nostra; our thing. Five times Lappland surprised Texas, and one time Texas surprised Lappland.

(Or, five times Texas told Lappland to shut up, and one time she didn't.)

From behind Texas comes the whisper of something cutting through air, then the harsh scream of metal against metal -- it's one of Lappland's new favourite moves, drawing her swords and then running the blades against one another. Theatrical -- and utterly pointless. Just means she's wasting the honed edge she'd gone to so many pains to sharpen. Texas flattens her ears to her head at the noise -- it's always an effective tactic on their main pool of opponents, with their sensitive lupo ears -- and shifts her grip on her own swords. "Hey, Tex? Whaddaya think? Think you can take 'em?" "Of course." Texas shifts her weight from one foot to another. "Just make sure you have my back." "Yeah, yeah, you bet. I'm still waiting, y'know. You promised me a helluva show! After all that big talk, it's been leading up to this, leading up to your biggest and grandest moment. You ready, or what? Gonna show me what you have, gonna put your money where your mouth is and prove you're more than just all bark and no bite?" Texas clicks her tongue between her teeth. "Just try to keep up."
