I LOVE LEOPARD SEALS i was looking up pics to draw and all of them were like clickbait shit about how they’re scary and like how to survive a leopard seal attack and im like GIRL i WISH i could ever be close enough to a leopard seal in real life for it to kill me

‘Extinct’ clam from 30,000 years ago turns up just fine in California

Hydrurga leptonyx or the Leopard Seal

This is the only seal that feeds primarily on warm blooded animals. Their favorite meal are penguins, and can they even make up 80% of its diet, eating about 5 a day. They aren't limited to hunting in the water, either. They climb onto the ice and grab any penguin that can't get away.
