لقد كذبنا عندما قلنا أنهم أحبونا، لم يحبّنا أحد يا الله، و ها نحن هُنا بقلوب خاوية و أيد فارغة لا أحد يحتويها.

لقد كذبنا يا الله عندما قلنا أن قلوبهم ستنصت لنا على الدوام، ها نحن نئن الآن وجعًا و لا تدري أرواحهم عما بنا.

كذبنا يا الله كثيرًا على أنفسنا، و أخبرناها أننا بخير، أن أحدًا سوف يذكرها بالخير، سوف يحمل لها الأخبار الطيبة و يكون طيبًا معها على الدوام.

لقد كذبنا يا الله، كذبنا عندما خدعنا أنفسنا بأن أحدًا غيرك في هذه الدنيا يحبّنا..

لقد كذبنا، أرجوك فاغفر لنا.

ربما أراك أحمقَ أحيانًا لكنني أحبكَ و هذا كل ما أردتُ قولَه.

أتدري أنك تلمسُ روحي منذ الصدفةِ الأولى و أنني قاومت كثيرًا التفكيرَ بك؟ حاولت طردك من عقلي كثيرًا و أقسمتُ ألا أذهب لنفسِ المكان ثانية، لكنني أذهب كلَ يوم.

لا أعرف شعورك الحقيقي اتجاهي و أخشى أن أستيقظ أحدَ الصباحاتِ على خبرٍ عنك يطيحُ بحبي عرضَ الحائطِ، الغريبُ أنني لعمري ما شعرتُ بمثل ما أشعر به الآن.

عينىَّ معلقتان على عقاربِ الساعة منتظرة مجيئك حتى إذا مررتَ بجانبي تنفستُ الصعداءَ و أطلتُ بها علّني أحتفظُ بأكبرِ قدر منك ، و أردت اقتباسَ أي شىءٍ منك عل��ني أحتفظ برائحتك. أقسم لك أنني البارحة اتخذت قرارًا صارمًا بألا أحدثك و أن أتغيب اليوم حتى لا أراك و ألا أطيل النظر أثناء انهماكك في أشياء غيري كالعادة، لكنني أردت دومًا أن أبدأ يومي بك حتى أنني كتبت فيك قصيدةً و أطلت النظر فيك أيضًا و دعوت الله بك على سجادة صلاتك!

أصلي بمصليتِكَ أملًا أن تصلك دعواتي، و أجلس على كرسيك و أقف بجانبك و لا أودُّ التحركَ و أحبك دائمًا لأنك أنت، هكذا أحسستُ أول مرة و آملُ ألّا أفيقَ منك على ندبةٍ طويلةِ المدى كما علّمتنا الحياةُ.
