At least 1878 because nobody normal writes or draws that
can we talk about the fact that sneeze fetishes have always existed? like there were people walking around thousands of years ago having the same thoughts we post on snzblr. thats insane

The person who has been so sick they've been laid up in bed for they can't remember how long, drifting in and out between sneezing fits, handfuls of pills and sips of Sprite forced on them by their doting partner.
After a much needed nap they roll over and realize their exhausted caretaker is next to them in bed, still in their clothes, grimacing and starting to shiver a little in their sleep. Even though they still feel awful, they ignore their own aching muscles and throbbing head to get up and get their partner some water or another pillow, whatever to make them a little more comfortable. It's kind of the least they can do.

I only have one good hand right now because I stuck my fingers in an immersion blender I didn't know was plugged in. I still have the fingers (attached, not in a jar) but I type slow rn. Life lessons learned-
don't do that
having no fingers is really boring

That grimace and throat rub combo after an especially harsh sneeze. Usually happens during the worst part of a cold, when their nose is somehow running and blocked at the same time. Their throat is raw from coughing and the forced mouth breathing isn't helping one bit.

rose cold
Victorian era allergies.
1. Rose cold, aka hayfever. They can count on the misery starting every summer and they stock up on handkerchiefs beforehand. It starts with an itchy feeling in their throat and the roof of their mouth, and before long the dreaded sneezing starts.
It interrupts every event, wakes them up in the night, it never stops until summer ends. They've been to every doctor and every one has a different opinion on the cause. Nothing suggested ever helps.
The only thing that gives them any relief is staying inside with the windows shut tight. It doesn't make it stop, they still constantly feel on the verge of a sneeze and hold it back for fear of one turning into a fit.
All day they sniffle, rub and pinch at their nostrils to relieve the itch just enough to hold back the sneeze. The moment someone comes to visit and the door swings open, the breeze pushes them over the edge into a desperate, breathless fit.
2. Garden parties, surrounded by pollen heavy flowers and heavy perfumes provoke them into rapid, unbearable sneezing attacks they can barely catch their breath between.
3. They dread calling on certain friends. Their host's house is a nightmare, every room is crammed with knick knacks, all thick with dust. Sitting in the parlor it takes all their will not to give in to an embarrassing fit of sneezes.
4. They are very upset at the new maid for not knowing she needed to warn them before she dusted and swept the rugs. They must be out of the house beforehand to avoid the stirred up dust in the air.
Now their nose is pouring, their eyes burning and they though they clamp a handkerchief to their nose and mouth to keep out the dust, they can barely stop sneezing long enough to scold her.

The allergic character who goes in for a romantic kiss with their partner. Their partner gently pushes their hair out of the way...and the allergic one turns away and sneezes. Their nose is suddenly tickling horribly.
Their partner never wears fragrances because of the characters allergies, so it can't be that. Maybe it's just a cold coming on. They down some medicine and cuddle up in bed to watch a movie, but the sneezing only seems to be getting worse.
They've spent the entire film with a tissue in their hand, ready for the next one. Their eyes are watering too much to see and every few minutes they have to grab a fresh tissue to blow their dripping nose. The tissues are rapidly piling up on their side of the bed.
Their partner leans in to give them a sympathy kiss and suddenly, their nose tickles worse than ever and their breath starts hitching rapidly. With a groan, they brace themselves with one hand, the other desperately fanning their face in an attempt to bring on the next fit already.
It's after the fifth sneeze in a row and the desperate "I don't get it..." they keep muttering between gasps that their partner remembers the cat they stopped to pet on their way home.
In their attempts to be comforting, they've spent all night unintentionally rubbing cat dander all over their lover's face.

Characters dozing off while sitting up/in the middle of something due to their cold or allergy medicine. The sneezes are the only thing keeping them somewhat alert.

The post allergy attack shower is so underrated. The sufferer is away from their allergen but they're exhausted and just want a hot, relaxing shower. They need it to rid them of any lingering pollen or cat dander but the steam makes their nose unclog and run, they're so grateful for the relief in sinus pressure they just let it.
The water running down their face brings more allergens from their hair and triggers a violent fit, they have to brace themselves with one hand to keep from slipping.
With nobody around they feel free to sneeze as desperately and loudly as they want. A release from the misery of sniffling and stifling sneezes all day for politeness sake.
Bonus if they don't know their partner is in the house and can hear them loud and clear.
