when we went to italy at a point we needed to inflate the tires of my mum's friend's wheelchair but we needed a special valve for it anyways. we stopped at an auto shop and tried to communicate between spanish italian and english what we needed and ask if they could help. it was very hard to communicate this because we didn't know what the thingy we needed was called. eventually, all three talking at the same time, i said "el cosito..." which made us all giggle
the dude at the autoshop burst out laughing and went "of course, il cosino!! el cosito è universale"
to this day one of the best sentences I've had the pleasure of hearing
