New Url for Opal’s new blog??? natcherelaihr (natural air-- Korra calls Opal a natural at airbending) natcherelaer (different version of natural air)  kongqi (air in Mandarin)  feiizhu (flying pig in Mandarin Minus one i and a space between fei and zhu. since Opal is a Beifong and Beifong family is the house of the flying boar.) **heavily leaning toward this one because it sounds cool. For translations I just used Google Translate. If anyone knows any Mandarin that notices anything that needs to be corrected, do let me know.

      “𝓘 hope the food is okay...” Opal gave Korra a small smile as she sat beside the Avatar. The Chef at the Beifong estate had made a wide spread meal full of delicate vegetables, meats, soups, sides-- one could consider it to be a full banquet. Every night was never a dull meal for the family. “Chef likes to experiment sometimes, but they always come out delicious.” She poked at her own food with a fork before picking up a couple leaves of kale and putting them into mouth from her salad. “If you don’t like something, I’m sure that he’d be more than happy to make something you’re more comfortable with.”

// I mean-- I have my own headcanons for what kinds of airbending Opal gains and what kind of things she can do-- and she’s a bit more OP than I would like at this point until I figure out a balance. But in canon, she’s a pretty powerful airbender. Almost as powerful as Jinora-- as we see that she as a novice, can already jump from from great heights and stop her mom and aunt from fighting- blasting away huge chunks of rock away with ease.  She is also able to maintain a large tornado BY HERSELF for probably minutes on end while Jinora calls for help. All while fighting off Kuvira’s friggin ARMY. Opal is a very strong and talented airbender. She’s not to be messed with and already has superb power and abilities that are on par- or just a hair lower- than master level after only having airbending for a short while.  On the other hand. Bolin has his own traits and abilities. He has the ruggedness of the probending, street smart styles and even lava bending. We can’t really compare who’s more powerful when they are both really powerful benders. We see that Bolin holds back a flow of Lava after just gaining those abilities while Kai rescues everyone. That man was ready to sacrifice himself right then and there. You can see it on his face. It was just luck that he unlocked that ability and survived. And I’m glad that he did. Dude is also fit af. As a goofball as he is, he is quick on his feet and can usually get outta dodge fairly easily.  They’re both really amazing characters and I love them so much. <3

// Yeah :/ so was Jinora-- but I feel like Jinora had more involvement because of her advancement. But also-- Opal is a girlfriend of one of the members of Team Avatar. In the last series-- the significant others usually kinda... tagged along for lack of a better word. Maybe because they don't have to travel as much or Opal is just busy with her Airbending stuff? I would like to see more Opal content in the comics (since the show is now over) though. <3

// WE WERE ROBBEDDDDD! I feel the same. I’m not gonna lie, I do feel salty when I see promo images and Opal isn’t there. But I know she’s like-- not part of team avatar directly like the others. But like-- her relationship with Bo should give her a step in the door to being in the group more? ya know??? But honestly we were robbed of the Bopal content in the comics AND SHOW imo. We need more. They are adorable.
