this is the first instalment of the vicious lost boys series and is a dark re-telling of peter pan and wendy. it is also reverse harem. the story follows our Darling, as she’s taken by Pan himself as he attempts to find his shadow. along the way, Kas, Bash, and Vane learn to love and take care of our Darling.

this book includes: enemies to lovers, morally dark characters, ‘you touch her and you die,’ and hot scenes.

as this is a dark re-telling, please be advised of the trigger warnings: graphic, rough sex, public sex, group sex, dub-con, graphic violence, language, captive/captivity degradation, submission, bondage/ropes, blood play, choking, CNC. do not read if you are uncomfortable with any of the warnings.

  MY THOUGHTS ON THE BOOK

i really enjoy dark novels, but i especially love dark re-tellings of the classic childhood stories. needless to say, i was excited going into this book! however, i have some mixed thoughts.

the plot was great, i thought it was very interesting and there were some great twists. please be advised that this book ends on a cliffhanger and there are only two total books out in the series thus far! i will say that i read this book in a day—it’s an easy read.

the sex scenes were a lot, but pretty well done. some of the dialogue was corny and cringey, but i find that most romance novels have a few corny lines here and there that i actually end up kinda loving! the sex scenes were insanely graphic and i did have to put down the book a few times.

what really made the book were the four love interests; Pan, Kas, Bash, and Vane. all four men had insanely different personalities (i have a soft spot for Kas) that really shone in scenes with dialogue.

i’ll be doing a review on the second book soon, which will have many more thoughts. overall, i would give this book a solid 3.5 stars out of 5! i think if it was a little bit longer and with just a little more character development, it would’ve bumped up to a 4.
