Hooray, I’m back! I have started a huge project inspired by Holly Black’s Cruel Prince. It will be an entire house of Jude’s family: six rooms with furniture, about 10 characters and at least three pop-up secrets. Here is the first sketch I made without the furniture and any details. The second Grishaverse box is here! The confrontation between Alina and the Darkling in his tent during her nightmares makes a huge part of suspense in Shadow and Bone trilogy. So the place was chosen not by chance. Dusky forms of trees on dark walls, a bed with heavy canopy, personal space invasion... A small mechanism changes the sun and the moon above the bed. Perhaps, for the first time I am proud of myself✨ Alina’s hair shouldn’t be grey yet, but I did for making the picture more contrast. In these piece of paper craft I tried a new format: extremely small boxes. This is pocket-size Nicolai’s study! There is a little secret that I am going to tell you about tomorrow. It was quite a busy month and I keep working on new models. Soon you will see another box, this time inspired by Shadow and Bone. And, well, yeah... I am getting ready for a HUGE project: a house that you can actually play with. It will be based on — ta-dam! — Holly Black’s books.
