Urgent Appeal: Help 150 LGBTIQ+ Refugees in South Sudan Before Time Runs Out
Dear Friends and Supporters,
My name is peteson, and I am a leader within the LGBTIQ+ refugee community in South Sudan. I write to you today with a heavy heart and an urgent plea. Over 150 LGBTIQ+ individuals, including children, women, and young people, are currently stranded, facing extreme hardship, discrimination, hunger, and insecurity. We are in desperate need of relocation support and food assistance.
We have only one month left to secure the necessary funds before we are forced to leave our current location, with nowhere else to go. Without urgent help, our community faces the risk of homelessness, violence, and severe trauma.
Despite tireless efforts, I have not been able to secure the funds needed. We need global solidarity now more than ever.
I am humbly appealing to donors, humanitarian organizations, and allies around the world:
Please stand with us. Help us raise the funds for food and relocation before it’s too late.
Your support could mean life, safety, and dignity for our people.
If you are able to help or know someone who can, please reach out or share this message widely.
In hope and solidarity,
Peteson
Lgbtiq+ leader
