Hello hello !

Here comes the Berliner Kitchen ! I've been very inspired by the handmade kitchen from The Berline Chapters on tiktok and really wanted to add this to the game ! The feature I like the most that you saw on the wip is the back counter elements that enables storage behind the counters and keep the surface empty ! I also loved the raw concrete wall with the tiles, and I am very happy with the result on it in the game !

The kitchen comes with wood, plain color and also metallic version. I can't wait to see what you will do with it !

Quick tip to place the back counters and counters properly, use F5 to unlock quarter tile placement, and there you go !

In this new set, you will find :

kitchen counters

kitchen cabinets

a kitchen counter for the built-in dishwasher

kitchen counter back elements (left, middle, right and angles sections)

a oven

a high oven (requiring Dream Home Decorator game pack)

So excited to share the KNOX Livingroom with you ! I've been wanting to create this fireplace for ages, and also this kind of windows! It will be perfect for your fancy high apartments in San Myshuno or even shops ! I had great times working on the shapes and textures of those items, and I hope you will like the result! 😀

You will find a working bar, that requires the cheat code bb.moveobjects to place it on top of the kart. You will also find the same version as a decorative item, so you can place it wherever you want, and also each piece sperated so you can mix and match the bar clutter as you want!

Q&A

Hi ! I am making this post because I'm not very active here, not to say not active at all here and I see some of you have questions or experiencing some different bugs.

 First of all I want to thank you for the kind messages I have received, it really means a lot even if I see your messages only once in a while <3

I will update this post if new issues occur with time so don’t hesitate to check this if you have issues, maybe the answer is already here :)

I have been through all your notes and try to report the issues that happened to several players. If not mentioned underneath, it may be something of a personal issue that comes from conflict with other cc you have installed or just from the game itself as we all know sometimes The Sims 4 can be a little funny ! 

And also for several reasons like not enough time etc, I am not making submission for cc unfortunately ! 

TIPS & TRICKS

Appliances disappearing when placed on counters : 

You have to make sure the ‘Auto Counter’ is off because it makes disappear cc appliances

- “packages ending by “texture” ” : 

To make the cc set take less space in your hard drive, I try to make some similar objects sharing the same textures. The game will only load one set of textures for several items instead of multiple times the same texture for each item. This technique requires the package file having the textures in your mod folder if you use the unmerged version. To make it easier to spot it, I added “texture” at the end of the name of it. If you use the merged version, you don’t have to worry about anything. 

If the package with the textures is missing, you will have the items in purple with question marks in your game.

TECHNICAL ISSUES

- Purple items with question marks : 

As mentioned above, make sure to have the packages ending by “textures” in your mod folder.

- Wallpapers with question marks :

After the DirectX 11 update, a lot of wallpapers broke. I have updated all of them and reuploaded my Patreon and CurseForge. If you encounter this issue, try to redownload them.

Also, for some reason, the merged version keeps this issue for some players. Try the unmerged version to see if it solves the issue. Unfortunately for some people there is no solution found for this issue as it works fine for the majority of players.

- Windows with question marks :

Auntie Vera’s windows has no solution found as it works for a majority of players but is not working for some without any reason..

The other windows with purple and question marks can happen if you use the merged version. Often, the unmerged version solves the issue.

- Domaine du Clos Kitchen : 

I have made some tests with the cabinets and dishwashers and everything works fine on my side. Maybe you can try downloading the unmerged version if that is not the one you’re using. Otherwise I don’t have any clue on what can cause this issue.

- Auntie Vera Plumbing : 

while creating the plumbing, I’ve made a mistake on the texture size which happened to create loading issues or stuff like that. The problem has been solved since, you can redownload it for updated plumbing ! 

RANDOM

- Extensions from previous sets : 

I won’t do extra items for the past sets as, but you can do them for yourself if you want too ! 

- Missing items:

If some items are missing, it may be because they require a specific stuff pack. I tend to make them base game as much as possible, and if not, I will mention it in the description of each set. Also, I can make mistakes so make sure to search by the name of the set in your game just in case.

- Beddings score : 

I won’t update previous beddings scores but I took this comment in consideration and the recent and future beddings have higher scores.

- Dark Shadows on cabinets or similar items :

While creating items like fridges etc, I delete occluders so it doesn’t cast strong shadows on elements above like the cabinets. The occluders are used by the game to create more realistic shadows with lights if I’m right, but for some specific items like fridges I use to delete them. That’s why you may have hard shadows while placing fridges from the game under fridge nook cabinets for example.

I don't know if anyone is having this issue, but I figured I'd just let you know, the Arold Shop windows have weird textures on the glass. When you try to do the expandable/seamless ones they don't work. Well, they work, but the glass isn't seamless.

Hello, might not be that important but I've been having a problem with some of your wallpaper.

The domaine du clos, combles and tilable sets has this problem. Those are the ones I have. Do i have something missing? They are 'up to date' but the only problem is this.

Hi ! That's so strange it happens only for the sides ? I know the wall is slightly larger on the corner like this due to the thickness but it's not something we upload while creating regular wallpapers. I do'nt know what to say except trying the unmerged version because that's so strange it's working on almost everywhere !

Hi there! I was using some of your MCM doors and windows, specifically the sliding doors and noticed that the medium height slider doors have duplicate swatch colors (right after the default, the next one is the same color as the next darkest and doesn't match the window of the same swatch (seems to not have any duplicate swatches)

Im having a liiitle problem with mcm kitchen pack.

Counter eater eats the electronics or doesn't allow to put them on/in it. I've tried with and without bb.moveobjects.

I have all new sims 4 updates, i don't use any mods and all other cc's are working normally. I use mac if it matters.

hi, the arold shops windows are broken for me, in the glass part they all have question marks in them. i tried everything to fix issue and i have the texture packages in my mods folder and im not sure what else to do. is there anything else i can try?

Hi ! Sorry you're having this issue! The only solution I can give you to try out is using the unmerged version, sometimes the merged version is creating issues like this recently..

No idea about this issue as you're the first mentionning it but maybe the main package with the texture is missing in your mod folder ? It's the package with the name ending by "texture" I hope it will help ! :)

I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing how you create your textures for your sets, specifically your wood textures? Do you make them yourself? I’m starting to venture into making CC myself, and have always loved your sets, I just can’t find or create a texture that I’m happy with.

Hey ! I won't have a lot of tips for this but I paint them in grey variations. It helps so you can recolour them later for the swatches ! Otherwise just test some textures and find the one you like the most and fits with the style you want :) Good luck for this start in the cc journey ! :D

Hey ! Unfortunatly I don't have any idea on what can cause the issue with this collection.. excpet doing the 50/50 method the remove the item cause conflict, I have no other solution to bring I'm sorry..

hi pierick, hope you're doing well! i just wanted to let you know that the david's apartment stove makes a cutout in the backs of island counters like those from your tilable set. i know you're super busy and probably won't have time to fix this soon, but i just wanted to put it on your radar :) thanks for your cc!

Hi ! It may come from the size / footprint of the appliances. I struggle to make the cutout especially for the side and back sizes. I don't promise to fix it but I note that so I remember if I can ! Sorry about this but still, thank you for your message !
