4. piece you wish got more love?

Out of my original works, this one, and fanart wise, this one.

Mostly because I poured a lot of effort into them, these took 38.5 hours (and it CRASHED at hour 34 and I had to restore it via playback and it bugged out some of the lineart which had to be REDONE) with 151 layers, and 15 hours with 24 layers (which are honestly weak numbers for me these days) respectively.

The oc artist struggles are real, but I'm sad that this Ryley piece is more overlooked than some of my others, because that's the first time I finally nailed down his features and figured out how to draw him consistantly in my style.

21. what do you think your artstyle would taste like?

I honestly don't have a clue, salty maybe? But I can imagine a texture! Something both crunchy and creamy, like a chocolate truffle with a thick shell, or an alfredo sauce with bacon bits in it

Welp I've gone and done it again, went way too overboard making a ref sheet. In my defense your honor, he's really fun to draw.

Needed to make a ref sheet for a story where he's aged up a little and gained some significant injuries, but I ended up struggling with the pose for a while. Turns out the easiest way to fix this in any drawing is to lean into the character personality, in this case, dorky. Bam. Have him pointing at it like a nerd.

So I did the color wheel challenge, with ocs!

This bitch is a monster of a file and crashed when I got to around 32 hours, luckily I was able to restore it with ibis paint's playback feature, but during the restoration Mason's (orange) lineart bugged and was duplicated and shifted upwards, all on ONE LAYER, so I had to redraw parts of it. All said and done, I spent 38 hours on this piece when my usual is between 5-15, and after merging down all the layers that I could bare to, it has 151 layers. :')

I love seeing people’s picrew art styles because you can just look at them and be like

“You read homestuck and it was a big part of your life for a few years, you’re not into steven universe but you did watch it, and you had an intense black butler phase in middle school and doodled their eyes over and over again in your spiral notebooks”
