first attempt at painting a colorful disco ball. 🪩

I used to be super into painting, especially in high school. it’s been years since I’ve painted but the artist Not Sorry Art inspired me to pick up my brushes again.

Honestly I had fun doing this but I’m starting a new painting today because I got frustrated with this one, maybe I’ll come back to it at some point 😂 the tile sizing and my line work pissed me off and now I feel like starting from scratch. I think part of the frustration stems from the fact that I mostly used to paint abstract shit with no precise lines and now I’m attempting to do something with a bit more structure than I’m used to.

I don’t hate it I’m just not in love lol

but anyways I’m so excited to be painting again. I’ve also been dusting off my huge vinyl collection and zoning out to my records that also haven’t been listened to in years. It feels therapeutic. So far I’ve listened to: Arctic Monkeys, Way Yes, Animal Collective, Jagwar Ma, and Walk the Moon. 🥰 Also shoutout to my lovely amazing sweetheart @toodeepforyou for being a super genius and fixing the speed on my record player. 🎶💖
