crunching on bull again… what a guy
self admits to being the odd one out within the qun (he get too attached to people! he cares too much! he (despite excelling) doesn’t actually fit into the role they gave him!) creates a crew as a cover but gravitates towards misfits and outcasts (he gives a very utilitarian answer for why but frankly i see it more as him feeding some part of himself desperate to be seen as right by giving it to other people)
thinking of killing machine borne from lonely, caretaking child, whose own maternal figure feels he benefits from getting away… god that has to fuck with him. because he ostensibly can play the role the qun wants but not if he wants to keep his people— alive, most importantly but also his.
i do sometimes wish they delved more into him and his caring side and how that really works in a collectivist society but how it also clunks. like the protector framework he has is a needed framework… he can kill (despite a moral aversion to it) but only if it for care, for defense (then he can take a perverse delight in it). the needs of the many trump his own (until they don’t as evidenced by vasaad)
iddddkkkk he can do it all

I just want to talk about Bull forever, analyze him, come up with and discuss headcanons, and be asked about my Inqui. Is that too much to ask?🥲

i wonder what's the timeline of the first sequence in the new animated short. these people aren't khaenri'ahns and they know about the twins already so it's after our arrival. i guess they're from nod krai but this implies that somewhere after pur arrival a considerable chunk of space just got deleted and nobody in teyvat found out. or does it mean that it's another time paradox from istaroth and this grandma was bestowed the knowledge about the twins even before they arrived?
also, this short confirms ashikai's theory about the homa ritual but it makes me think back to the statue in inazuma. people always speculated it was istaroth and now we have an opportunity to check which of the shades is closest to the statue's design. and it obviously has a very close resemblance to ronova of all people because of the wings.
plus, i guess it was obvious before but the shades have some power over each other's domains? since it seems that the three of them destroyed the space contained in the ruler of space's cube while she was nowhere present.

after recent AMA events it became very clear that every writing decision in the veilguard was made without any consideration, respect or love to an established lore or characters.
and so I want to remind everyone that we don't have to bend over backwards to justify and make sense out of stupid and inconsistent writing choices
the devs did not put this much thought to tie everything together, why must you?

me breaking into the bioware offices: "hey. why do the evanuris have such a specific idea of gender and even family units, when they literally made themselves out of Intangible Abstract Concepts? what does motherhood or fatherhood even mean for mythal and elgar'nan? were they having biological kids? were they just copying the dwarves? did the hivemind dwarves have gender and family structures like that? how did that happen? humans didn't exist on thedas then, so it couldn't have been from copying humans?"
bioware, capturing me in a comically large butterfly net and then releasing me into the wilderness: "it's, uhhh, because of anaris' ancient arlathan manosphere podcasts 👍"
