Anime "Monster" Spoilers

Boiling Take: The anime "Monster". People probably assume the title is about the main antagonist, Johan. The literal Nazi enabler that caused pain, trauma, suffering, and of course, death. And was vile enough to make a lot of his horribleness personally crafted.

However, I would argue that the title "Monster" is actually referring to the main character, who saved Johan twice. Once before he knew he'd grow up to be an absolute hellspawn, and then again, after refusing to kill him on sight like he's roleplaying a soap opera.

Because he's a doctor and doctors save lives and all lives are equal, he believes.

Yes we are considering making non-Women of Xal content! Even ones that are admittedly just so we can fund the big projects we want to fund. The biggest hurdles being time and money. But I'mma thinking on it! Maybe a simple horror game with a novel concept. One that may not be the best, but it sure is something only my absurd brain would think of!

I'm just minding my business when I see someone venting writing advice from what could be interpreted from a point of frustration. They brought "Women of Xal's" Xjena into it, without knowing anything about the game, but definitely used the character as a stepping point to pour more writing advice into the cosmos. I'm just here blinking like "Is this game really going to catch more strays than sales?"

There's a certain brand of frustration of having a poc-heavy visual novel and knowing that controversy and drama was how "Women of Xal" got noticed in the first place. Because obviously I never wanted that, and rest assured, I still don't! That said, is there a timeline where I can simply make the content, reach out to interested parties, network, and advertise/market? And let the quality of the game speak for itself? Without the world going "Looks good. Next time pick between drama and ~traditional aesthetics~."

Women of Xal, but instead of being an Apprentice Matriarch, you play as one of Xuna's support staff and get the story through varying viewpoints since you're psychic, and can date Xjena.
